"Friendly, super competent, efficient, prompt, no complaints. Great clinic care and follow up care. They actually call you after you get home from surgery to check on you! Everything" and everybody has been put back together and functioning well.

"Broke my leg June 2013 and had to had surgery on June 21st. Next appointment with doctor was on
10th and cast had caused a blister and the blister burst and" leg was covered with dried blood. The doctor did not clean wound, just put a medicated bandage over wound and told me to clean wound when I showered, said he would see me at next appointment which was Aug. 7th. I called doctor around
20th with concerns about the incision getting bigger. Saw the doctor on
22 and again he did nothing, just told me to come back in a week or two. So went back on next scheduled appointment on Aug. 7th and by this time the incision had gotten bigger and I thought I could see hardware. I asked the doctor if I was seeing hardware and he said it might be. He referred me to wound center, where they treated two wounds that you could not see hardware, but the wound with the hardware they did not treat (they did clean that area up). I asked the wound center why they did not treat the wound with hardware and they said they did not treat wounds with exposed hardware showing. Went back to Dr.
later in Aug. and wound was getting bigger (I could see up to five screws in the hardware) and Dr.
said I had three options 1st remove hardware and hope bones were strong enough to hold up without hardware or 2nd do nothing until bone is strong enough and then 3rd was to put in a external fixator. By this time I was frustrated and did not what to do. I went to another doctor who was willing to remove hardware, new doctor was very hesitant to do surgery, but I said Please, I did not want to go back to original doctor. Hardware was removed on Sept 21st, but since the skin over this area was so thin the wound did not close. I had to go to OHSU and had to have a free flap surgery done on Nov. 7th. The free flap is still healing. I believe if Dr.
had done better with follow up appointments and cleaned incision I wouldn't be in the condition I am today. Dr.
is probably a good surgeon, but his follow up and concern are horrible.

I attended the second appointment with Dr
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
for the back conditions that my daughter was diagnosed with. At the first he recommended physical therapy to strengthen her core, which we did for approximately 8 weeks. The physical therapist also said that her hips were weak, which could impact the core movement and back pain, so he worked on that too. Her back improved slightly, but that was the prediction from Dr
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
. When I informed him of what the physical therapist had said and what he was working on, Dr
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
actually laughed audibly at me and said, "Okaaayy?" The student working with him actually got wide eyed and seemed to acknowledge that his behavior was out of line. I was stunned silent and did not know what to say. He proceeded with the appointment and left the room to return after x-rays were taken. When he left the room, my daughter asked me why he laughed at me, to which I responded, "I'm not sure but it certainly was not very respectful." Upon his return, I decided I would bypass the disrespect and get as much information about my daughter's back as possible, knowing that I would not be returning. He gave us big words and details that obviously mean nothing to the average person, and then asked me if I had questions. My response was, "No, not at this time." When he asked my daughter if she had questions, she responded, "Yeah. Why did you laugh at my mom?" He kind of smirked and said, "I didn't laugh at your mom," and discounted what she had asked. I just put my hand on my daughter's knee signaling her to let it go, which she did. We left the appointment knowing that we would not be returning, despite his vast knowledge of orthopedics. This was unfortunately not the only experience like this with Dr
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
, however. My oldest daughter was also under his care for scoliosis years back and he was the same brief, egotistical self at that time. We only returned to him on the recommendation of our primary care physician and the fact that he is knowledgeable. I actually put his 'importance' ahead of my daughter's instinct about him - I will not make that mistake again. He was sure to list off all of the 'well-known' people he had fixed over the years and said he could put us in touch with one of them to ask questions, which we declined. I have no doubt that Dr
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
is a competent and knowledgeable doctor and that his technical skills are probably good, but his 'bedside' manner in this case left very much to be desired. I cannot have faith in a doctor who audibly laughs at a parent and belittles them, especially in front of their daughter. Although I left without any type of anger or incident, I thought I needed to make people aware of what had happened. My daughter's back issues are probably on the 'mild' side (as he put it) of things that he 'normally' deals with, but she is a person whom I love dearly and want the best for despite what he sees in his office. Maybe if your orthopedic issues are extreme or 'less mild' he might seem like a savior, but in this case, all it turned out to be was a high priced consultation which left me feeling stunned. If you are looking for a competent doctor whom will belittle you in front of your child, and one whom will be sure to point out that you are not an orthopedic doctor, he is the one for you. My family, however, will be searching for other competent doctors whom actually respect people.

Knee injury many years ago. Getting worse ... .X-rays, MRI, surgery done for knee. Much improved. Follow ups. Probably looking at a knee replacement in the future. Trying to

that off.
Other knee had steroid injection. Much improved.
Finger problem also includes steroid injections. May or may not consider surgery on this.

I contacted Dr. Settecerri's office on Friday (9/6), as instructed. I was told that Dr. Settecerri would review the hospital x-rays that were taken at the hospital (online) and that someone would get back to me with an appt. date based on his findings. I received a call and I was told that her appt. wouldn't be until 9/13/1 - 8 days after she broke her arm. When we went to the office on 9/13/13, we saw the PA (physicians assistant). She had an x-

taken of our daughters arm but was unable to see the fracture on the x-
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
. She wrapped new casting material around the old GIANT cast that the hospital put on. (The x-rays were taken through the old cast.) She then tried to view the hospital x-rays online (as Dr. Settecerri had done ealier) and was unable to find them. She said we should bring her back in three weeks to have the cast removed and for more x-rays.
I didn't like the fact that she couldn't locate the fracture or look at the older x-rays as a "base line". I called the office the next business day and was told that Dr. Settecerri would be in the following day and would call me back. He did call me the next day and reviewed everything (x-rays). He said that everything was healing well and that, as long as she kept the cast on, she'd be fine.
The negatives were that the PA was very kind but made us feel like she didn't know what she was doing. I'm sure she's actually good at what she does, but it wasn't a reassuring visit.
The woman at the front desk/reception is obviously there to handle "problem" patients. She was kind of scary and tough...it feels like they put her there for a reason. I was unhappy that we weren't going to see the doctor at our first visit, but didn't question this based on her demeanor and somewhat unpleasant attitude. Not a great first impression.
I have heard of Dr. Settecerri from someone else and I was told that he's the only one she'd take her kids to when/if they break anything.

Dr.
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
consulted with me at the
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
Sports Medicine Center in December 2012. As part of my pre-op due diligence, I sought out an expert second opinion from DSPC after receiving consistently excellent service / treatment from practitioners and admin staff alike at Triangle Orthopaedic Associates (
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
). Dr.
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
saw me after his colleague, the director of DSPC, refused to do so in November. Her staff explained that she made this choice because my injury had been caused by impact from a car (exercising her prerogative to decline cases that might involve litigation--an inconvenient surprise to me, as I didn't learn this until AFTER I'd scheduled the appointment through her office, completed extensive paperwork, and was waiting in her examination room. But that's another story...). First, I appreciated Dr.
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
's choice to examine and consult with me, knowing he had the same prerogative to decline as his colleague did. Second, he brought a team of four other surgeons and practitioners along, to participate in the meeting and evaluation. All five spent a generous amount of time with me, about a full hour (though Dr.
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
, appropriately, did most of the talking). He conversed extensively with me and welcomed all my questions with straightforward, knowing answers. Third, he was very bright, alert, and focused and also seemed keenly aware of not only the words I was speaking but my non-verbal communication, too. Fourth, my life partner was also fully welcomed into the consultation, and even guided through manipulating my leg and knee himself (with my permission, of course!) so that he could better understand the nature and extent of the damage. We both appreciated this dynamic engagement between Dr.
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
and the two of us. At end of the appointment, I put the question directly to Dr.
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
: "If I choose acl reconstruction, would you be my surgeon?" He looked me straight in the eye and simply said, "Yes" in a direct and piercing way. I appreciated that. The second opinion I received from this appointment at DSMC was pretty much identical to the initial one I'd received from
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
--which actually bolstered my confidence in
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
and sticking with the first surgeon there who'd already advised me and said that he "would love to do" my reconstruction. So far that's been my one and only interaction with Dr.
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
. At this time, I am planning to have the acl operation in late Oct or early Nov, by the
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
surgeon if he is available then. However I would feel very secure and positive about having Dr.
Lubbock Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
perform it as well.

This clinic was amazing! Wrists are the ONLY thing they do and they know their stuff. Smoothly operating, friendly, efficient and extremely knowledgeable. I even got to choose my cast color! My husband has used them too for a wrist ligament problem and had similar experiences.

I arrived on time 8am. I was not taken back to the exam room for 25 mins. The doctor did not come in for another 25 mins. A quick look, an exray of my foot and a determination of planter facheitis. I was sent to physical therapy which only hurt more. I was told to walk more which I did and made the pain far worse. I need a good podiatrist.

He took X-rays, said there was no structural damage to the foot. Prescribed physical therapy, which I did for about a year (and still continue to this day). Only minor improvement to the Achilles pain were achieved. Still have sporadic severe pain with the Achilles. He had no other suggestions or help to provide.
