"Company man was available, worked efficiently. Neat, cleaned up area. Liked attitude. Pricing was good.

"I text the business with a brief description of the problem-My dryer had no heat and no one I called prior to them would work on a front loading Samsung dryer. " I got a quick text back and then a follow up call from a very courteous and friendly staff member saying they could certainly handle the job. I was surprised to find out they work until 8 PM! Perfect for my schedule. She gave me a two hour window and said they would call prior to arrival. Then the non existent ice storm.... with all the closures they also pulled their crews from the road. I received a text with plenty of notice and given a new date with the same time frame. I totally understood even the schools closed so I certainly had no issue with the rescheduling. Prior to the two hour window I received a text that the tech was on his way. When
arrived he was prepared, very friendly, and professional. He also showed me why the Samsung is a hard one to get into and the amount of lint that had accumulated in the interior of it. He vacuumed it out, replaced the heating element and had it up and running in no time. I received a detailed receipt and was also given a Law Enforcement discount!
also explained that if his company was used in the future I would always receive the same Tech. This builds the relationship with the customer and ensures the Tech has the history of the prior work completed. AMAZING! WHO DOES THAT! I will recommend this company to everyone I know.

Small appliance repair

Small appliances play a big role in our daily lives. When shopping for microwave ovens, vacuums, toasters, mixers and more, choose appliances that fit your need and budget. When it comes to repairs, compare the cost of fixing to the cost of replacing the item.

Buy water-based paints with low volatile organic compound levels (VOC). Basically, the less glossy the paint, the fewer VOCs it contains.

If the ducts are venting through a window I'm assuming the duct work is all easily accessible.  Lowe's and Home Depot sell a cleaning kit that uses an electric drill to spin the brush as it goes through the ductwork.  I've found it to work quite well and you can do it yourself.  It may take a few passes the first time to get everything out if it has been a while since it was last cleaned.  Just make sure you get all of the loose lint out after running the brush through from both ends and you're good to go.  Please note that if the line is not hard but rather a flex duct line you can easily puncture a whole in it with this kit and will do better to clean it by hand.

As stated above, it can vary between companies.

Typically just an inspection implies you do not have a contract or agreement that may include discounts or free repairs.

With our company you would get the annual maintenace service that you should do every year, and if repairs are needed, they are extra, but you aviod paying a "service call charge" that would be related to most repairs, because you are paying for the "inspection" and we are already on site.

Inspections are often discounted in the slow seasons, and can usually be found advertised , at reduced prices , on Angie's List.

So consider Angie's List and find the best of the best in HVAC contractors!

I have never seen one of this type that does not exit the house. You would not want the grease dumping into your basement, even with a filter it will happen.

The greater part of your job will be carpentry as if there is a wall behind the stove a hole will have to be cut up through the basement into the wall up to the stove. Unless it is one of the stoves that allows for it to fit inside a cabinet below. To answer correctly most here would be a picture of where this project is being done. I have done motorized ones that extend up out of the counter when in use and then retract. Those exit through the cabinet and require the cook top is to the front of the counter and not a drop in one

As an added note these tend to be better as they do not pull the heat away from the stove top when in use as much as the ones flush with the stove. I have install quite a few and happen to have an Amana cook top with built in down draft and I have to shut it of to get water to boil on the back burners.

A carpenter will know what can be cut and what not in the basement, a sheet metal contractor should know as well but at the other end for the finish by the stove they might not. Most carpenters that do kitchens have installed the minimal amount of duct work for this. They just have to be carefull with the number of ellbows and the lenght of the duct.

This company will not set up a specific appointment time for a repairman to come out, nor will they give you a window of time, during which they will arrive, until after 9:00am the day they come, so you cannot make plans to go anywhere or do anything else on that day, except sit and wait. Pretty much a guessing game as to when they will come, until shortly before they show up. The repairman did call 20 minutes before he arrived, but then whizzed past me to the kitchen without eye contact or identifying himself. Immediately starting huffing and grumbling about how he didn't know how he was going to get the stovetop out. About 45 minutes later, he finished, and handed me a bill for $222.09!!! $75 service call for which they will not make an appointment - only give you the day they are coming - and none of which applies to their bill. $70 for 45 minutes labor. $124.08 for a switch.
Total $222.09!!! Seems extremely high for a 45 minute job and a small switch, but the unfriendly grumpiness of the repairman was the worst! He wanted an additional $25 (plus $85/hr labor charge) just to look behind the refrigerator and make sure that the ice-maker connection was still hooked up to the wall and had not come loose. I could not get this company out of my house fast enough. I would NOT recommend them to ANYONE!!

He came within a few hours of calling. Very professional and fast. Found the problem, gave a quote to repair. We decided the washer was too old to repair but will definitely use him again.

Leander Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
is a really nice guy. This was a big job. He did the work for a very good price. City of
Leander Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
stopped the work for permits so it took a long time. I realize
Leander Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
was trying to save money by not getting the permits and initially permits were not needed until rules changed. In the end the work created a beautiful house and
Leander Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
was instrumental in getting the full value of the house with the remodel.
I was surprised to hear that we did not have permits when he had said we did. Also a few things were not finished. In the end everything worked out. The city approved everything and insulation was put in behind the basement wall, and the toilet pump for basement was repaired. It was a good remodel for a relatively good price.

had also done a radon test when I purchased the house. I was told the test was not done correctly and had to have it redone.

It is harder to get through now- that is the problem. They get everything done on a timely manner and if it is something that needs to be replaced and you want to upgrade it, they will give you a cash out. Other companies don't do that- that's how I got my new air conditioner, they cashed it out. It was really wonderful -they have saved me about 15.000$. I have recommended them to other people before.

Tech diagnosed problem, took $100 cash deposit, ordered part and returned the next day and completed repairs. Was quoted approximately $250 total for the job. When job was completed he told me it was $252.xx and I gave him that amount (also in cash) plus a tip. He left before filling out my copy of the receipt. He also left his gloves here. I have given up calling him to get him to return...... Either I'm out $100 or the cost was $100 more than quoted. I'd REALLY like to know.

They claimed that our house electric voltage was spiking and damaged the furnace. They did a trick with their voltage meter to pretend that the voltage was constantly changing. The technician called himself "
Leander Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
". He called a man at the office and put him on the speakerphone. He was part of the hoax, too. They refused to honor our warranty.
Leander Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
said the circuit board was burnt out and he wanted $1,000 to replace it. We were very suspicious and asked them to leave. The house electric was tested after they left. The voltage meter read a constant 120 volts! There was nothing wrong with our house electric! Furthermore, there was nothing wrong with the circuit board. The ignitor was replaced and the furnace now runs fine! It was a $41 part!

They inspected my
Leander Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
& didn't find the problem early in December. The issue didn't present while they were here of course. When it occurred later, they responded immediately. They applied the service call charge to the cost to repair my oven. I was impressed at their friendliness and professionalism! My oven was fixed in no time. They answered all my curiosity questions with patience and clarity. Other appliance repair services have cost over twice what they charge! I will never use another appliance repair service no matter what the appliance - even if I had to wait!
