"The technician arrived within the two hour time frame given. He took the front bottom panel off the washing machine and diagnosed what turned out to be multiple" issues. (He also removed two quarters, two

I appreciate when technicians let me know that while the appliance is certainly fixable, it might be better to put the money toward a new appliance rather than into an old one that could easily have more issues than were immediately apparent.

"The washing machine initially did not demonstrate the problems necessitating the service call. After working through the cycles, the technician was able to replicate" some of the problem areas and in the end, made a few adjustments and cleaned out a clogged line which apparently caused the initial problems. $85 well invested. Home Depot arranged for A-1 to install the new range hood we had purchased from them. 2 young men arrived right on time & went straight to work taking out the old hood & installing the new one. They protected our cook top while they worked and cleaned up after themselves. And our new range hood works exactly as it should!

They arrived on time. They ran the washer in quick wash mode and observed no leaks, then they gave us a bill and left.
When I arrived home, I saw their notes and figured that, since they saw no issues, it was fine to run the washer. Of course, 5 minutes into the cycle, there was water leaking everywhere. Nothing had been resolved.
I called back the company and told them it was still leaking. They told me they didnt know why it was leaking because they ran it in quick wash mode and nothing happened. I told them that's the cycle I had just used and there was water all over the place. They seemed stumped so we agreed to set up an appointment for the next day between 1 to 3pm.
Our appointment time came and went and nobody showed up. I gave them a 30 minute grace period figuring they were running late, then called up. I got their voice mail and left a message asking that someone call. At 5pm I called again and got no answer. Nobody called or even messaged us through Angie's List to explain. Very lame.
So in summation, we had a leaking washer. They came, ran it once, allegedly didn't see anything wrong. They left us a $79 bill. On the next use the washer was still leaking. They made a followup appointment, didnt honor it, nor call/message us to explain why they failed to show.
I used Angie's List about 50 times in 3 years. This is the first time I've had such a bad experience and the first F rating I've ever left. Very surprised at them considering the good reviews.

again but I go out of my way to tell family and friends not to, either.
"To Whom it May Concern,
I want to write this letter to let you know about the experience we have had the past month dealing with a

It started when our ice maker stopped working and we noticed that the freezer was not maintaining a cold enough temperature, causing ice cream to melt and all our food to start to defrost. The first technician that came out told us we just had to open the freezer door all the way out every so often because otherwise ice gets frozen in the door track and that can cause cold air to escape. The next day the problem was not fixed so we called again to have another technician come back out.
This time we were told we needed to order a new mainboard and a new ice maker and they would back in about a week when those arrived. The technician this time told us those would not fix the problem and we needed a new compressor and a new dryer fan (I believe). The only compressor they had was on a truck in Utah and they would be back in 9 days to fix it. As it turns out, they had one on the truck and one technician (

tried telling him he had more calls that day and we would be fine to wait the 9 days for the other one to arrive. Over the course of three visits, they replaced the mainboard, the ice maker, compressor, copper tubing (dryer?), fixed a leak in the pipes, and flushed out oil.
As a result of the work they did, we not only had to throw out our entire freezer full of food, but they caused the fridge portion to stop working as well so we had to throw out at least half of the food in our fridge. Also as a result of the work, there is a new noise coming from the refrigerator. We had another technician out AGAIN and he said the tubing was too close to the cabinet, amplifying the sound of the compressor. If this noise had been present when the fridge was first installed (only 10 months ago) we would have returned it during the grace period because it is a highly disturbing sound much like ringing in our ears.
I want to bring to your attention the caliber of these technicians. Although

was new and made a mistake about what was initially wrong with the freezer, he was the only one who seemed to care about us as people and legitimately wanted to help fix the problem.

was by far the worst. On his second visit to us, he had another technician in training and the way he spoke to him was disgusting. He talked to him like he was a child and was not capable of following any direction or doing anything right. He spoke to me in a very arrogant and demeaning manner that made me feel very uncomfortable.
We were told to call about the food loss you offer and were told that unless we purchased the Protection Agreement we would not qualify. This refrigerator is less than a year old, we had been without a freezer for weeks and had to throw out hundreds of dollars of food. As a result of the work done by your technicians, we also had to throw out a large amount of the food in our fridge as well. This is completely unreasonable to expect us to pay for the replacement of all of this, especially since half of it was the fault of your employees. I can understand needing to have the Protection Agreement after the initial one year warranty, but within that one year, you should not expect to have your fridge go out and have to replace all your food already.
At the current time, I have receipts totaling over $1,900 put into the repair of this fridge over the course of FIVE visits in less than a month’s time, which is more than we paid for it new. We had two different technicians tell us this is a lemon and

needs to condemn it and replace it. Someone on the phone told me he tried to override the qualifications for the replacement that we had not met because of the amount of money put into it so far, but was unable to get that done.
I am very concerned because I believe it is only a short matter of time before something else goes wrong with this, and we only have about 1 more month on the warranty. With everything that has already gone wrong, and now with the new noise it is making, I do not feel comfortable spending the hundreds of dollars to restock the food because I

Our fridge CONSTANTLY makes a highly annoying noise, regardless of if it's cycling on or not. It makes me so angry every day hearing it and being reminded of this experience. When it goes out, we will definitely be shopping somewhere else!! Please shop somewhere else!!
