"YCS was excellent from start to finish. I interviewed 5 contractors, 2 other companies similar to YCS & 2 independent guys. In the end I elected to use a larger company that would handle & co-ordinate all the details. The costs were much lower for the independents but I had a time line to meet & in the end decided that the piece of mind in having a larger, more established contractor with more resources would far outweigh the cost savings. YCS was not inexpensive but they were worth every penny !

My

was a first for me. The house is 27 yrs old & has had very little updating inside. I gave YCS a new challenge as I had just joined Direct Buy & planned to purchase most of the materials through them. YCS agreed to work with me & adjusted their prices accordingly.

All the folks from YCs along with their subs treated me & my home with respect. (I had friends telling me that I was not having the "normal" renovation experience. No tears or headaches. No rude behavior. No

to get what I paid for.) When I had a question or concern, It was addressed immediately. I am extremely satisfied ! I plan to do my kitchen & update the rest of the house with YCS in the future.

I need to mention the 2 YCS employees that I worked with the most...

in Sales & Design worked with us on "aging in place gracefully". It was something I had never heard of but as we are in our 60's it fit us perfectly. He worked w/us to widen doorways, add grab bars & taller sinks & toilets. He listened to what I wanted & came up with great solutions & recommendations.

was my Production Manager & handled installing cabinets, vanities & doors along with most of the plumbing. He kept me updated on the schedule & helped me make decisions along the way.

"We hired
Grand Prairie Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
, of
Grand Prairie Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
., to do a full bathroom remodel. Hiring Mr.
Grand Prairie Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
simply did not result in high quality work. He convinced us that he is a master at tile work. He recommended us to let him build a tile tub from scratch rather than go with a standard tub because his work is so “amazing.” It simply doesn't look like it's built by an experienced professional. There are huge spaces between some tiles and rather large grout lines. There is also a 1 ½” wide strip near the wall that he decided to fill with caulk rather than tile. He had to come back after he was finished because he forgot to attach the faucet and set up the drain for the tub. He actually poured concrete and tiled around where the drain is supposed to be. Because of this, the drain we purchased for him to install doesn’t work. He thought that installing non-water tight rubber seal around the drain hole would be functional. Of course, a rubber ring over grouted 1” tiles will not create a water tight seal. So he still left without actually fixing everything. The floor tile was not grouted properly. He came back to fix it when he tried to fix the fixtures in the tub. However, it’s still not a very good job and I’ll have to go back and fix it myself. He also installed our new toilet tank incorrectly, but was absolutely sure it was correct. Instead of coming back again to fix what was wrong,
Grand Prairie Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
left me a long message explaining that he did not set up the toilet incorrectly. He also told me the problem with the tub drain cover was that the “bolt was too long” and I needed to “get a hacksaw and saw it down.” I ended up calling a plumber instead, who came and fixed everything. The plumber was very surprised that the toilet was put together so poorly. He also recommended that the area around the tub drain be broken up and redone. But he was able to use a different drain plug which works well. All in all it was a headache to deal with Mr.
Grand Prairie Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
who turned out to be quite an incompetent contractor.

"They installed the beam successfully (only time will tell) but changed the agreement as they went along. For example I requested a wider opening and they did not do it stating it couldn't be done. I believed them at the time but now believe that they just didn't buy a long enough beam. They removed a bookcase and put sheetrock where it was and around the beam area that was replaced. They retextured the walls. They installed baseboard that we purchased in the master bedroom and closets. The beam, bookcase removal and texturing were one contract and the baseboard another. They arrived late and took an extra days on the beam, sheetrock and texture. The baseboard took more time than scheduled also and they were late again. When they removed the bookcase they removed a piece of crown molding that they left in the yard and was ruined by rain. They refused to replace that and I had to get someone else to fix the crown molding.
Grand Prairie Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
stated that I had accepted the job without the molding so they would not fix it. They textured the walls with a extremely rough surface that would even cut your arms if you brushed up against it. The original texture was 50 years old and fairly smooth. They refused to correct that stating "you can match that old of texture". I paid someone else 300.00 to remove the texture
Grand Prairie Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
had done and replace it to match the original - it matches perfectly. The beam is installed and covered up with sheetrock so only time will tell if it was done correctly. The bedroom baseboard was a disaster. Joints butted together, nails not countersunk, corners not aligned and none of the closets (there were five) were completed on the wall where the door is. They also put baseboard over an access plate. When the job was finished they told me I could paint over everything and it would look fine. My father, who has built a couple of houses, was out of town when all this happened. When he came home and saw the sloppy work he exploded and we contacted them to correct their mistakes. They did redo most of the baseboard but never finished the closets. They refused to redo any of the work in the living area (beam, bookcase, sheetrock and texture) stating I had accepted the work. I "accepted" it because
Grand Prairie Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
told me that was normal and the only way it could be. He took advantage of my lack of construction knowledge. He reasoned that since I was 31 years old that I should know better and ignorance of construction was not acceptable at my age. To summarize I had to get other people to retexture, replace the crown molding and the closets were never finished. They corrected the baseboard only because I told them I would

them and my father accurately described their deficiencies and poor craftmanship while on a conference call. They were VERY hesitant to to discuss the problems as it took almost a week of calls before they returned a call. Their

Box is no good either, we had trouble getting pictures of the poor work to them.

(the contractor) is the type of contractor you hope you will get, but don't think exist anymore. He was always prompt, gave upfront realistic estimates in a detailed written proposal, was willing to negotiate with me, was always prompt and delivered everything he promised. The quality of work was outstanding and completed on time or before the date promised in all cases. This was especially true of the electrical work performed.

(owner and primary service provider) is one of those people who takes a great deal of pride in his work. He is exactly the kind of person you want doing work in your home! He is friendly, professional and he does great work! My company has relocated our entire corporate HQ to the Dallas area and I am referring all of my colleagues and friends at work who need these types of services to

"Foster Construction came out and made notes of everything I wanted to have done and promptly provided a quote. The quote was fair and when I had questions about specific items on the quote, a full explanation was provided. Once I was able to set the date with my schedule, Foster Construction worked with me to get that date on their schedule. As it ended up, they started the work a week late, BUT, flexibility on my part was fully explained to me prior to the date being set. They cannot control the weather and rain had set them behind on the job prior to mine.
The work went exactly as it was explained to me and quoted. Once they had the fireplace down rotted wood was discovered. That material and labor raised the total amount a little bit more than the original quote, but they don't have x-
Grand Prairie Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
vision to see behind walls and I somewhat expected it and was pleased that
Grand Prairie Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
pointed it all out to me and explained what needed to be done to fix it. They framed out and installed a new window for me where the fireplace used to be The removal of mortar on the floor was a bear to get up but
Grand Prairie Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
's crew knocked it out quick and then floated a leveler on the floor that turned out awesome.
What is really impressive about Foster Construction is that they explain to you what it takes to get something done and they do whatever it is that you decide upon. They were extremely respectful, polite and genuine. They had a big job to do for me and kept the areas clean and safe. Now that I've seen firsthand the quality of work Foster Construction does, I plan on having them do my kitchen remodel. If trust counts for anything, I can say I definitely trust Foster Construction to do quality work in a timely manner with a fair price and the highest professionalism! Highly recommended for any size job.

"A total waste of time. Never have received an written estimate in almost a month after contacting them twice. That is horrible customer service.
