My elderly parents are building a home in Georgetown, and we need some post-closing changes, specifically widening some doors in the Master Bath to accommodate walkers. I scheduled an appointment with
on 1 March 2014 so that they could provide me with a bid for the remodeling.
showed up on time, and did a thorough assessment of what was needed. Then I never heard from them again. I sent two follow-up emails on 6 March and 10 March, respectively, but did not receive replies to either. I know
uses email, as that is how we contacted one another to set up the initial meeting. I can understand that he might not want to do the job, but just ignoring me is unprofessional. I was very disappointed, as the reviews on Angies List were good.

After interviewing a few contractors, we chose Ed based upon the Angie's list reviews, his presentation and his personality. We were not disappointed.
Working with Ed was a breeze. He is very attentive and gave us time whenever we needed to answer questions, discuss a possible modification, etc. He is just very easy to work with. On top of that, he's a really, really nice guy. Also, Ed is not just a contractor, he does most of the work himself and is extremely skilled at what he does. The level of workmanship in our bathroom is nothing short of exceptional. He is meticulous in both his work and keeping the workspace (and adjoining rooms) clean. Every day when he was done working, Ed cleaned up and left the space uncluttered and dust free - amazing.
Of course, since he is so good, he's typically booked 6+ months out, so you need to schedule accordingly, but his work is definitely worth the wait.
We highly recommend Ed and his work. In fact, we liked our bathroom so much we got on his calendar for another project immediately.

In less than 30 minutes he misspoke about the current plumbing twice. The first was that the existing gas line wasn't large enough to handle a tankless water heater. And the second was that the drain lines to the existing master bath were pvc instead of cast iron. Which leads me to believe that he chose to not do a thorough inspection of the crawlspace even though at this time there is no under skirting on the house. And the crawl space is easily accessible. I really didn't appreciate the fact that he was trying to give me a quote when he obviously hadn't taken the time to ascertain the current condition of the home. So I asked him to leave and will be looking elsewhere for the plumbing services that I require.

I had an appointment with MJ but the office staff called and told me that

would be coming. She arrived on time and listened to my want-list and took my magazine clippings and told me that she would give me an estimate in 10 day, which she did. Their cabinet designer came to take measurements and provided drawings and answered everyone of my million questions. The remodel was not what I expected as I had heard of horror stories about living in a house while it is being demolished but the crew was very courteous and respectful of our home and the office called every evening to give us the schedule for the next day. The woman that emailed me about my selections was always available and kept impeccable notes so that really helped when I forgot what tile I ordered. During the entire project,

, the field manager, kept an eye on the progress and made a couple of slight adjustments to accommodate my changing mind. All in all, we are very happy that we chose Signature and will do so again next year for our guest bathroom.

was on site for every step of the renovation which included wallpaper removal, tear out of the porcelain tub and tile, counter top, mirror and lighting. He did much of the carpentry work himself and provided excellent subcontractors for all of the plumbing, drywall, fiberglass, electrical, countertop, tile and glass work and painting. He has remodeled many bathrooms and knew every step and sequence of tasks necessary to get the job done. When he or his subcontractors saw problems, he didn't ignore them - including a toilet flange that had long been broken and an inoperable septic pump., He had the flange repaired and suggested we replace the pump, which we did. It took three weeks and the bath is beautiful and functional. He put in grab bars to make the bath safe, and installed the recessed medicine cabinet and framed the shower which is now wider than the original tub. All in all the bath is much safer to use as well as aesthetically pleasing.

did some very nice work, but he walked off the job before it was finished. We were left with a garage full of trash and paint cans, a screen door that was not installed and many minor problems (such as the fact that his painter did not paint the walls behind the shutters). My husband has documented all the flaws we found and the book is 24 pages long. The most serious problem is that a few weeks after we moved into the house, we discovered that the shower in the master bedroom leaks water into the adjoining closet (which is carpeted) and other areas of the bathroom if we use it. So we have not been able to use our beautiful new shower. After many weeks of phone calls and e-mails, we finally did get

to come look at the shower. He said he would order materials and be back the following week to fix it, but he never showed up and now he refuses to return our calls or answer our e-mails.

Contractor showed up on time removed all old tile, cabinet tops and flooring in a timely manner. Kept all debris to a minimum as could. replaced as I had requested and cleaned up very well. Was very professional, and polite. My kitchen looks like a picture from a magazine. It is so beautiful. I am very pleased. The back deck and enclosed space is great. I will definitely use this guy again. This is the second time. I have talked to

knowledge of construction is amazing.
We had purchased and moved onto our property a modular office building, about 2,000 sq ft.

(

) were instrumental in making the kitchen what my wife and I had invisioned. He was able to use 3 slabs of marble to fit into our cabinets, cutting each perfectly with no chips or breakage.
He replaced 2 sets of commercial double glass doors with residential doors which involved taking out the old frames and putting in new frames and doors.
He installed wood laminate floor in our big room, hallway and foyer. The foyer met the hallway at an 90 degree angle, he was able to cut the laminate perfectly so that it appeared to meet the hallway perfectly at a right angle. He glued this joint and it looks wonderful.
He helped out and made many suggestions to the work I was completing myself.

.They were very punctual. Long periods of time in which the homeowner is subject to construction inconveniences were minimized by their fast track scheduling and work routines. The job was done in only several weeks. My husband, who is a critical perfectionist, was well pleased with their quality of work. They do what they say.All employees were professional and helpful at all times. They may seemingly cost more but the additional quality was well worth the price.

Once we had decided on the particular granite that we wanted for our kitchen, we obtained several estimates.
Georgetown Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and Floor was by far the least expensive. Other companies wanted to charge extra for this and that (the tear-out, the plumbing, the sink and faucet), but for
Georgetown Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
at Eagle it was all included in the price quoted. Never did he ask for a penny more.

This is a small, family-run operation and sometimes it was difficult to get a phone call returned promptly. Things did not always happen "on schedule", but the end product was worth some of the frustrations. The fabricators/installers are true artisans. When minor adjustments had to be made to the granite, they were able to do it right here at the house. They never left before everything was cleaned up and perfect. The final product is gorgeous and couldn't have been any better if we had paid twice the price!
