"When I priced it out they quoted me 97.00 a month. Now that its installed the price is 157.00 a month. I talked to 4 people trying to get explanation and each" had a different story. I feel I was flat out lied to.

"I contacted Frontier. The service rep. did make an adjustment to my bill until they can supply me with a faster internet service. They basically said it will be" sometime before this happens. Some days it works better than others.

Landline Phone Service reviews in Georgetown

Everyone I've spoken with here has been polite, and seemingly wanting to help, but... they have not been able to deliver what they are selling yet. After Numerous calls routed to their call center at Cablelynx and having a company tech out 3 times they have not been able to get the internet right and deliver the service I ordered and paid for. Prior to ordering the service I was told by both
Georgetown Long Distance Phone Companies Provider Name Locked
and Cablelynx that what they call their high speed turbo (up to 50 mbps) was available at my address. I spoke with many, many people at both
Georgetown Long Distance Phone Companies Provider Name Locked
City Hospital and Northeastern State University about internet providers in
Georgetown Long Distance Phone Companies Provider Name Locked
prior to deciding what service to install. Despite many unflattering reviews, based on
Georgetown Long Distance Phone Companies Provider Name Locked
/ Cablelynx's advertisements, the services featured on their website, and what they told me over the phone, I ordered their service. I Ordered and paid (by check at time of install) for the most expensive package they have at ($139 per month) for advertised speed up to 50 mbps. I'm Lucky if im getting 2- 3. Many times less than 1. I'm even having trouble with
Georgetown Long Distance Phone Companies Provider Name Locked
email, much less web browsing. Forget about trying to access services like Netflix, it just hangs and hangs on this ISP's service. Numerous calls to their service center. I've recieved several reasons for why I'm having problems like they didn't have my order correct, I had not ordered their fastest service, that I had ordeed their enhanced package, not the turbo, ... That for some unexplained reason my modem had been set at residential speed level, etc... Again, I'm paying over $130/mo just for internet, and getting somewhere between 0.8 and 3 mbps. That's using Speedtest and numerous servers including their own sppedtest.ark.cablelynx.com. Last tech who came out yesterday admittted he was not getting much better from the connection and modem they installed. That's not even up to the advertised speed of their lowest priced ($59/mo) package. At 2 - 3 mbps I'm getting less than 20% of what I am paying for. Blamed it on the bandwidth. Couldn't do anything about it. His solution to the problem was to drop me down to their lowest price package, even though I was not getting anywhere near that speed either, and credit my account. Waiting to see how quickly that cedit happens. I was told they are in the process of upgrading infrastructure and that things should be better in another month or so. I'm assuming I'm dealing with professionals who understand the importance of providing service annd value to their loyal customers. I'm also assuming the people running this businss know they cant advertise something they cant deliver, and collect money from people under these circumstances. Perhaps the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, state utility regulators, and the FCC can explain this better than I can. I would like to be here again, in another month or so, and provide a glowing review of this company and their servce. Presently, I'm sitting tight, along with many friends and interested third party observers, waiting for them to deliver on my now adjusted, credited, slower, lower-tier internet service package, and hopefully, something closer to that 50 mbps they advertise for

, in the very near future.

My experience was extractable. They are the only company I can use. I didn’t have much choice. It’s difficult to get an appointment. The one thing I
Georgetown Long Distance Phone Companies Provider Name Locked
’t like is they’re local reps. When she goes through the 1-800 numbers for service, the local reps won’t assist you. They are carrying their name but she has issues. She represents
Georgetown Long Distance Phone Companies Provider Name Locked
but she can’t help me. They came when they said they were going to.

Salesperson promised 3 Mbps, but tech who installed it told us that's impossible and 1 Mbps would be
Georgetown Long Distance Phone Companies Provider Name Locked
because we were too far from the nearest hub. For use required by the university the speeds were insufficient. Even YouTube watching was choppy.
We did speed tests ourselves. The
Georgetown Long Distance Phone Companies Provider Name Locked
was 0.5 mbps for downloads and much slower for uploads. Cancelled the service immediately and went with an alternate Internet provider. Took a couple months to work out charges for the router, but that has now been resolved too (AT&T sent a refund check).
I believe this is a failure of information flow within AT&T and its affiliates. The call center personnel are tasked with selling something that the infrastructure does not permit, but they do not seem to have that information. It was rare in our interaction with AT&T for anyone we spoke with to have immediate access to the entire service history.

I was paying $73 a month for home phone and internet. They then raised the price to $76 this month and when I called they said I should've been paying $93 after my promotion. The phone service is fine, but half of the time, the internet doesn't even work right. They tried to get me to sign up for UVerse TV too but they got rid of Fox News so I'd have to pay $137 a month to include that station with the other channels. They are going to be send a technician out to today look at my internet problems. They said if it was my fault, they'd have to charge me, but if it was their fault, there wouldn't be any charge, so we'll see how it goes.

Their prices just continue to rise non-stop while the quality of the cable service continues to decline. I get a lot of interruptions and a lot of break in service -- and the service has gotten worse over the past 6 months to a year. I just got a $37 increase. They don't have enough customer service reps -- everything is automated when I call in. The last time I tried to call, the system wasn't recognizing the prompts. I had a twenty minute wait when I called in. As big as they are, the quality of their reps are terrible. They have canned responses for everything you say -- and you can tell. It comes across as insincere. When I did get through, I got cut off twice. The biggest issue was that I called last month about my bill, and they made a commitment to lower my bill to where I was happy with it. They guaranteed me it'd be under a certain amount. When I called today to follow up, the rep couldn't find any record of my last conversation; they said they couldn't get it down to the previous person's promise.

I have generally been quite happy with Charter. The only serious problem I have had was a weak signal that made HD a bit dodgy, and occasional Internet issues. They fixed this with a line booster a couple of years ago, and I have had very few problems since. I am happy with my service. However, I want to drop back to a lower tier of TV service, not because I am unhappy with Charter, but because I don't watch enough movies to justify paying for the channels. I spend far more time on the Internet, and have only watched a handful of movies in several years. My biggest gripe is that I would like to be able to downgrade online, or through my TV. (You can UPgrade this way easily. I guess they don't want to encourage downgrading, which is understandable.)

Their phone system works great, and other than bundling products I never use, I like it fine and would give them an "A" in all categories. The Internet is another story. There's nothing in particular that stands out, it is just a lot of little things that add up to a feeling that the only part of you they care about is your wallet, and they care too much about that. Responsiveness is spotty, call center knowledge is a bit worse, the system has these big surges in responsiveness, the wireless modem they sold me is prone to having its signal jammed by just about anything but they tell me that using any equipment other than their own will cancel the contract. The biggest problem is a constant need to upsell me to faster and better products and services. I've done that a couple of times and the experience has never been good. Their billing service is prompt about picking up the additional charges and is courteous but that is where the good news ends. There is nothing particularly bad about the rest of the service, but I don't earn a lot of money and I would expect better service for the roughly $90 I am paying for any other service. About the only thing going for
Georgetown Long Distance Phone Companies Provider Name Locked
is that their only real competitor in the Twin Cities for residential internet is Comcast, which is awful in all regards.

Geoff did a great job. My house is older with a lot of old wiring, and it wasn't immediately obvious how to accomplish the task. He took the time to figure it out and made sure everything worked properly before he left.
