was thorough, very nice, and has an excellent sense of humor (not easy when you're dealing with people who have strange diseases). He also gave me" a great reference when I needed a gynecological follow-up. I read later on the Web that outcomes in cases like mine are better with an oncology gynecologist. I didn't know that so was very grateful that's where he sent me. I plan to continue with Dr
as my hemotologist.

"I like everything about them. They are very capable and knowledgeable. They are kind and efficient. The staff is well trained and friendly. They were pretty hard to get into.

" The waiting room is spacious, clean, with plenty of light and not too many out of date magizines. The front office staff is personable; always asking how I am doing. The nurses who" draw my blood are highly skilled and excellent at what they do.The nurses know to wrap my arm over the blood draw site with a self sticking bandage and not to use a Band-Aid. The exam rooms are of a sufficient size as to not feel boxed in. Sometimes I have to wait for Dr
. Since I always allow plenty of time for my appointment and bring something to read, the wait is not so bad. Dr
reviews my bloodwork at every appointment. We discuss any medication changes, life style choices and any thing else that is relevant. I highly recomment Dr.
without reservation.

Easy. They were very professional, environment is clean, and I did not have to wait long. They were able to get my

on the first try and did not mind that I listened to my Ipod the whole time to distract myself (not a fan of bloodwork). The only issue I have is that I have to have fasting bloodwork, and they rarely have 8 am appointments available less than a month out, but if you schedule in advance that is not a problem.

It appears I just run low counts and shouldn't worry too much about it unless things get worse. She doesn't think I can do much about the low counts. I just had lab work done last week for an appointment next week, and the findings are as low as ever, but she posted a message that they're still stable. She has pointed out more than once that I could have a bone

procedure done but that there's probably not much treatment to do regardless of the findings. She recommends that I not donate blood. I hadn't donated for years, but donated twice last year when my hemoglobin was surprisingly high enough for me to give. The second time it was barely high enough, and Dr.

pointed out that I have enough trouble keeping my level up, and I seem to recover very slowly from donating.
She's also encouraged me to start running (I used to run regularly, and ran 2 marathons in 2000), so she may be a little surprised to hear I'm running a half-marathon in

. I had been running on a treadmill recently, but she encouraged me to run outside, saying that she didn't think it would have any effect on my low back pain. She's right so far. No effects noticed.

was my hematologist for approximately 7 months. From the time she first evaluated me in the hospital bed, to months later, she was always very kind and compassionate to me. I had other complications (nothing to do with her care) and one day, broke down crying in her office. She gave me Kleenex, hugged me, and genuinely cared about me as a patient and person. Because she sees a lot of patients, she almost always runs late. Her cold receptionist,

had neglected to tell me ahead of time the doctor was not in the clinic on certain days I made follow-up appointments, so I had to see a nurse instead. If I'm going to take time off of work, I would much prefer to see my own physician rather than the nurse.
Galveston Hematologists Provider Name Locked
should have informed her patients of that important information in advance. Also, you would think after 7 months of regularly going to this clinic, her receptionist would acknowledge or

me by my first name, not the case here. Additionally, if you left a message for Dr.

, often times it was a resident or nurse who returned your call. The office is located on the 7th floor of St.

Hospital, which also meant the furniture and equipment were outdated. Most of the exam beds were very worn-out and old.

The doctor and the care she provided to me were very good and effective, but the overall office experience could be improved. If I didn't have to switch hospitals, I would still continue to see Dr.

I was a bit nervous about seeing a doctor in the Trinity Hospital's Cancer Center and hoped that was not an omen of things to come. The parking was good, close to the entrance, and the waiting room while large was comfortable. The staff made sure that all of my files had been sent from other physicians and that my records were complete. While the waiting room was fairly well packed, my name was called within a few minutes of getting the paperwork out of the way.
The staff member who took my vitals and did an initial interview was informative and kind. She knew I was more than a little nervous and did what she could to put me at ease. Dr.

came in the room (minutes after the staff member completed her job) and we discussed the test I had and what tests needed to be done. This man listened to and considered my concerns and was more than open when discussing options. By the time he and I concluded my initial office visit, I had confidence in him and his manner of dealing with human beings as just that, human beings.
When he ushered me to the check-out desk, he completed the forms I needed and left me in the most capable hands of his staff, once again. That staff member advised that I wait for a couple of weeks to have one certain test performed since the local hospital where I was going to have the tests was going to acquire a new, specialty diagnostic tool and she felt that I would benefit by having the test performed using this improved technology. (Good advice!)
I felt that the staff and the doctor went out of their way to make this visit informative and to make sure I had no questions remaining when I walked out the door. I was also told to call if anything cropped up. We see certain specialists when things are going very bad in our lives. To have someone like Dr.

and his staff available during the tough times makes dealing with what we have to do much easier. Kudos to some of the best of the best in the medical profession.

Wonderful! Caring, funny, and easy going, yet very concerned and interested in my case and that assuaged my fear and anxiety. I will continue to use his services in any time of need.

After 2 1/2 years of chemo I was told that All I needed was regular follow up and testing until my condition recurred so I moved to Corpus. I found Dr.
Galveston Hematologists Provider Name Locked
and have been seeing him since. We easily established a relationship which I feel is based on my desire to have a good quality of life as long as possible. I have spent many hours with many doctors and patents since my original diagnosis. I appreciate his willingness to be honest and open with me. I feel I am knowledgeable of the basics of my disease, prognosis and the statistics which allows us the ability to have this relationship of mutual respect.

I go there every eight weeks. It has been excellent. They are very advanced with their technology as you can email your doctor and have access to your records. The quality of care is top notch. The doctor I use is Dr.
