Internet Service Reviews in Fort Worth

They provided technical support. The service was good. It was a good company. I used them for ten years. The experience was good. They were receptive and took care of the problem as fast as they could. If a line went down they would get there as fast as they could.

I've been relatively happy with them. I'd give them a B overall because sometimes the connection fails or is kind of slow, which makes me feel like I'm not getting my money's worth. I wouldn't say they're the best. Videos take a while to load or they just get stuck. My husband has a Flickr account and when he tries to add photos the uploading is very, very slow. I don't know if I would use
again for Internet service.

Internet Service reviews in Fort Worth

Service was connected on June 11th. Getting all devices functional was left entirely to me. One of the services I ordered was an international calling plan for which I paid $20 per month for a reduced rate on making international calls.
I left on vacation on

21st, there was no service in my house. I went through all of my mail and found a bill dated

1st which arrived after I left on vacation. This bill stated that I had an overdue payment of $197.00 and additional charges for about $170.00 for future services. Included on the bill was the charge for the international service plus a $22.00 charge for 85 minutes of international calling--so basically I paid $42.00 for the 85 minutes.
I called the service center this morning,

1st, after 20 days of service....I was a month delinquent and being billed for an additional month... I then asked about the $22.00 charge for the international call. He told me that I had to dial a special number before dialing the international number and that this is why I was charged the large amount for the call. I told him that I had never been told this...and I also looked up in my paperwork--directions for international calls, and it said nothing about having to dial special numbers before the international number.
I told him I wanted to terminate the phone and television service and just keep the internet service. He told me I'd then have to speak to another agent. I was transferred and after waiting for 10 minutes I hung up because I had to go to work. I had been only the phone about 20 minutes.
Later in the morning I took time off work and went to the only Charter service center in Fort Worth, on the far south side to try and figure this out and to see why I'd been cut off after my very first bill which had probably arrived

5th. I tried to seek clarification about my bill with the agent there. He informed me that my international calling plan only worked when I was calling an international land line...another detail I had not been told, and frankly, how am I supposed to know if the international numbers I am calling are land lines or mobile lines? I then asked what the rate was for calling mobile phones and he told me he could not tell me that, that I would need to call the calling center. I was becoming quite frustrated. (He did offer to drop the one $22.00 charge--which I appreciate but money is not as much of an issue with my as just trying to understand what my new services offered. I was becoming very frustrated but I never raised my voice or used any profanity or rudeness. I told him I wanted to terminate all of my services. He told me that I should not have attitude with him...I told him that I was simply frustrated because I couldn't understand why as the customer I was being told multiple different things and I couldn't get answers from anyone including why my service was cut less than three weeks after I received my first bill and how much it would cost to make an international call to a mobile phone.
I then also asked about receiving a refund. The Charter handbook says that new customers can have 45 days for a refund of services from the time the services started--there is a fifteen day grace period and then the thirty days. He said he knew nothing about that and that it was thirty days. I asked if he would please look at the charter documentation I had. He would not look at it.
Then, when it came to terminating the services, I asked how much I owed now so that I could pay it and if I could receive documentation that I had paid the money. He said no, that his printer didn't work. He did try sending it a couple of times--and as I was leaving, another person brought the papers over. I then asked what the steps were so that I could write them down and make sure I was doing everything right since up to now I felt like an idiot because obviously I hadn't done anything right. He said, "well, you're the one who said that, not me."
I am sure that in the fine print of the bureaucratic world of Charter, I am completely in the wrong--that is certainly the way I felt and feel. That said, I have never felt so insignificant in the face of a service provider. I am a fifty year old, successful, employed individual who has perfect credit, never makes late payments--except when I'm gone on my once a year two week vacation to see my parents as I was in this case--and between

5 and

The service center was full of other individuals with similar type problems, including an elderly lady whose services had been cut off...I heard the lady say she had never made a late payment since something like 2003...which is when she got Charter which the agent next to me confirmed...After my initial service phone request/order, my connection visit, my call to the call service center, and my visit to the service center, it is very clear that customer satisfaction is of little or no interest to the management of Charter. While my interaction with my agent was not exactly pleasant, I know that he is just a cog in the wheel and that it is clear that Charter has not given him any leeway or training in customer satisfaction. Not once did anyone say, "let's get this fixed."
We don't have a lot of internet service provider choices in Fort Worth but I strongly recommend that you explore all of your options fully before going with Charter. Of all of the organizations I have had to work with in selling my house and moving to another, this is the only one that was difficult. Gas, electricity, water, everything else was a breeze.

Recieved promotioal flier in the mail and it looked like a less expensive way to go. Called Charter and accepted the offer. It took nearly 2 weeks for them to get an installer out here, but they told me it would take that long during my initial call.
The installer arrived on the day and time scheduled and he was on time. He finished quickly and did a good job so far as I can tell. I've set up email accounts, called the IT help desk and Billing Departments in the process. All the Charter employees are excellent to deal with--curteous, competent, freindly and professional.
I had Charter a about 3 years ago and left them due to billing problems...they kept raising the price unreasonably. I am very leery of them resuming that practise, but this initial phase went as well as could be expected.
