Fireplace Installation And Maintenance Reviews in Fort Worth

From the initial call the personnel of this complany were nice and professional. The work crew arrived at the appointed time and began the cleanning and insepection of the fireplace and chimney. They found problems with the motar cap as well as the metal cap. Because of the problems the inspection could not be completed. Arrangements were made for them to return on another date of my choosing after completeing a new estimate on the repair work to be done. Photos were taken of the problem and shown to me and were also e-mailed to me.
On their return to complete the repair work they again arrived on time, fixed the problems to the motar cap and completed the inspection. They also cleaned the dryer vents and placed animal guards over the vent. The crew advised that they were have to return the next day to seal the edges to the metal cap and the following day returned and completed the work. The crew was professional clean and pleasant they took time out to talk about the problems and still completed the work in a timely manor. The cost of the repare work was $775 and change.

After finding good reviews of
on Angie's List, I gave them a call. I left a a voice mail explaining my needs. Shortly thereafter, I was called back. I believe I spoke to the owner. He was very helpful and straightforward. We set up an appointment for the next day at 8:00.
showed up right on time and I explained what we needed done. They did a great job covering the floor around the fireplace prior to cleaning the flue. That went pretty quick. During that time, one of the men inspected the chimney cap. He discovered the metal mesh at the top was of inferior quality and not fastened on too well and that was the cause of the noise. He suggested we replace that piece. I agreed and am pretty sure that will take care of the noise. I am very pleased with

are not only extremely talented and meticulous painters/artists, they are also smart and professional businesswomen. They were exactly on time for our first meeting, and I even got the estimate the same day! This job took only two days, and they were on time, cheerful, and a pleasure to have in my home. They didn't even charge me for the brick column, saying it wouldn't take much time or paint. My ugly, old brown brick wall is now a wonderful focal point; the glazing is just beautiful. They did an outstanding job, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you want gorgeous results and a fun crew to work with,

Very nice contractor, easy to get along with. Itemized everything before work began so there is a steadfast agreement that everyone signs on to. The work crew were prompt in arriving each morning, cleaned up daily, and I would trust them anytime. They were extremely pleasant, worked hard, and did a great job. They were very careful with our hardwood floors while working in the house, covering them each day with new protective material.

has several crews, and we happened to get the "

" crew. They completed the job before the estimated time given initially. My only complaint was that the plumber he used was not the neatest or best I have known. We had two extremely large cabinets that could not be removed from the house. After the completion of the job, the crew was nice enough to help us move them back into place. They also put leftover materials from the job into our storage room for our future use. They were very kind to us.

He was sure to explain the directions really well. He showed us how to turn it off and on. He was very thorough and professional. It works really well and it looks really nice. We had purchased the log from somewhere else and they just installed in for us. So we only had to pay a labor charge and that was reasonable. He did a good job, worked pretty fast and he definitely knew what he was doing.

designed and installed the tile used on the hearth and face of the fireplace. He made the mantel and finished the total painting job as designed.

Our house is about 50 years old and the chimney and fireplace needed repair. The top of the chimney was crumbling, it hadn’t been swept in years, water leaked into the firebox when it rained, and the firebox had large gaps & cracks. We were leaning toward installing a gas log instead of repairing the firebox.
My wife called

and was given a very thorough set of explanations over the phone – everything from the type of fire brick they used to the types of gas logs they recommended to a rough idea of the cost. My wife did not mention the water leak.

arrived on time with a member of his crew. They examined the chimney, the roof and the firebox. He asked me if water was getting in and I said yes. He said the last roofer had done a poor job with the flashing and just about everything else important where the roof joined the chimney.
He talked me out of a gas log. I told him I wanted one if it would warm the room. He looked at the geometry of my fireplace and said that although I’d get some heat, I likely wouldn’t be satisfied.

gave me an estimate for sweeping the chimney, putting a new cap on in, pointing the brick, waterproofing the whole chimney as the brick has eroded more than one would like, fixing the leak, and replacing the firebox. There was also a charge for erecting and taking down a scaffolding because my chimney is pretty tall and we have a high pitched roof. It pretty much amounted to just the extra time required. He told me it was at least a two day job. He didn’t mention that the two days were not consecutive, which later caused some confusion but no harm. We paid half at that time.

did a chimney sweep during that first visit. They laid two thick canvases on the floor. The bottom one was larger than the top one and was really intended to be the sort of emergency overflow protector. They didn’t leave any sign of soot in the room when they were done.
They came back a few days later and started the outside work. Overall it took four visits if you count the day of the estimate. And from the day of the estimate until completion was about 2.5 weeks.

explained everything as the project progressed and gave us instructions on how to break-in or season the new firebox.
We’re happy. The new chimney top looks great. Rain no longer drips into my fireplace. And they cleaned up really well when they were done.

Purchased deal from Angie's List for cleaning and inspecton and contacted company to schedule appt. Technician arrived, inspected firepace and informed us that reair was needed. He supplied an estimate for work and left (did not clean fireplce-since repair was necessary). I contacted the company and scheduled appt for repair work for

6th at 9:00 am. On the 6th at 9:30, I called to see why technician was not at my house. I was told he would call me back. At about 10:30, he called and notified me that the repair could not be performed. I was told that he and his boss had reviewed the photos (none were taken on the day he inspected the fireplace) and decided that the fireplace was irreparable and his company would not do th work and assume the liability. I was upset that my time had been wasted since I had taken vacation time from work to be sure that I was present for the repair. I requested a refund and was told that the office manager would contact me. Three days later I called the office and the manager knew noting about my situation but assured me she would look into it and get back to me. I called and talked to the office staff two additional times and have received a run-around. Each time I had to repeat my complaint and remind them about my situation.
It has been two weeks since the appointment for the repair and a month since the original inspection and I have not been able to get this resolved. Will definitely not use this company or refer them to anyone.

They were very timely, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They thoroughly inspected not only the fireplace and gas logs, but the chimney and the roof vents. In addition, they inspected another non-functional chimney, without me even asking them to do so, to make sure water wasn't going to enter the house. They were extremely cautious to not get my floors, rugs, and furniture dirty. I wanted to convert my gas fireplace to wood-burning, and although it would have been a lot more money for them, they were very honest and informed me that my chimney wasn't safe enough for a wood-burning fire. I appreciate their honesty and ethics. They obviously valued my safety and security more than their own pocketbook! I highly recommend
