and I agreed to a date of the project, and he showed up on that day and on time with at least six men.
estimated the ...more project would take less than two weeks and it did. By the end of the second week, we were ready to start enjoying it. Throughout the entire project, I nit picked every thing I did not see to my liking.
never pushed back or tried to make excuses for my nits. He fixed it all and to my liking and even followed up a month later requesting a punchlist of things I noticed that might need touch up of fixing. Fortunately this list was short and very quickly addressed. My husband and I were very pleased with
's professionalisim and work ethic. All of his men were respectful to me and my family (I have a two year old daughter) and helped us work around the difficulties of having to live without a kitchen and laundry room for two weeks. We will definately be using
for future business. "

"It went like clockwork. The crew arrived when they said they would be there.
spent a lot of time helping us design the new cabinets, picking the hardware, picking the paint colors and tile. He kept close tabs on the job to make ...more sure that everything was on schedule. He really went out of his way to make sure that we got the kitchen we wanted. All of his employees were curtious and respectful.
was very conscientious. He conducts business as if he were remodeling his own home. This is the second big job that he has done for us. He will be my remodel contractor for life. Look at the attached pictures and see for yourself.

Pastel pink tiles, bad lighting and outdated wallpaper in the bathroom caused Jillian Hill to walk away from several houses before she purchased her first home in Oak Forest. The Angie’s List member thought her only non-negotiable requirement was his and her vanities in the master bath, but after seeing some bathrooms while house hunting, Hill says she changed her mind. “I wasn’t looking for a newly remodeled bathroom, but I saw some that were in need of a major facelift,” Hill says.

"Our conversations were professional and helpful. We ultimately decided to do the majority of the remodel as DIY, but the
people were very professional during all of our interactions. We have a major remodel coming up soon and will absolutely contact them.
"It's taken me a while to post this review because I was very frustrated with the whole process of this project. I wanted to be fair with my review & decided that giving a day by day log was the best way to show why I was so frustrated & allow me to give praise when it was deserved.

came to house as agreed to quote kitchen remodel, painting inside of house & installing hardwood floors.
8/8 Received quote. I reviewed the quote & decided to put off some of the items due to the total cost quoted.
8/10 Received revised quote.
8/14 I agreed to have the kitchen done (convert the cabinets from a blonde finish to a dark cherry wood finish), install granite counters & sink, new backsplash, install a hanging pot rack above the island & granite counters installed in both bathrooms. Work to start on 8/19. Was told the workers would work from 8-5 Monday through Saturday & the job would take approximately 14 days to complete. I paid
half of the quote for a down payment.
8/15 I was told to go select the granite I wanted for the kitchen & bathrooms. I spent the better part of the day selecting just the right pieces.
8/16 I was told that the 3CM granite I had chosen was going to cost me an extra $300-$400 or I needed to go back & select a 2CM slab. His quote didn't indicate which one he quoted, so I focused on selecting the most appealing one. I went back & found an acceptable 2CM slab.
8/19 Laborers showed up 1 hour late at 9 & didn't know what they were supposed to do. They spoke very poor english, which
to frustration on my part & their's as well. Was told by
to go get samples of the stain I wanted used on the cabinets, even though I had told & shown him a picture of what I wanted done. The workers left at 4 instead of 5 as
8/20 Workers showed up on time. I left the workers in my house to go meet with another vendor to pick the backsplash, after being reassured by
that they were trustworthy. I came back about 2 hours later & the workers were gone. Since they didn't have a key to lock the door, my house was left unlocked for anyone to just walk in. After informing
& finding out he told them to go home, all I was told was that no one had told him I wasn't there. That's great communication within his organization. I never made that mistake again.
sent a supervisor over to find out why the workers couldn't get the wood to accept the stain. He stated that he didn't know what they were trying to do & that they had told him the wrong story as towhat they were doing. He said he would have a new crew out the next day & he would show them what to do. No work was done on this day.
8/22 The supervisor & two new workers arrived at 8:00 & started to work immediately. After getting the workers started, the supervisor left. The workers made a lot of progress & said they'd be back the next day to finish sanding down the cabinets.
8/23 At 8:45 I received a call from
indicating the worker's truck had broken down & they wouldn't be able to make it today, but would be back the next day. No work was done on this day.
8/24 The workers arrived at 8:30. The lead man apologized for not showing up to complete the job the day before & said he was sent to another job instead. But,
said......, hmmm. They finished all the sanding by 1:30 & left for the day. By this time, we had tried a dozen different stains & none of them were working. They kept coming out blotchy & depending upon how you applied the stain, no two looked alike. Over the weekend, I went on line & found out that the maple cabinets I have don't accept dark stains very well. None of
's people ever told me this. In fact, I told them about it.
8/26 Two workers showed up to put the stain on the cabinets even though we still hadn't determined what stain would work, let alone ordered the stain.
's son (
) sent the workers to another job & said he would send someone out to work with me in determining what could be done.
showed up later that morning. I told him about the maple/dark stain issue & he completely agreed it wouldn't work. I showed him a picture of what I wanted & he said he would get with
& work it out. No work was done on this day.
informed me that
was going to do a faux paint technique, but wouldn't be able to send a crew out until 9/7. No work was done on this day.
informed me that the granite I had selected 2 weeks earlier was too small (even though it was larger than the one he just brought in for me to go look at) & the drops I had selected for the bathroom counters was too broken up to be used. Why did it take 2 weeks to inform me of this? My theory is they didn't pick the material up in the first place & since the vendor will only hold it for 4 days, it was released & sold to someone else. The 2CM slab seems to be a fast moving product & the one hebrought in for me to look at was the only one his vendors had available. Unfortunately, I didn't like that one & out of frustration, agreed to pay the extra money for the 3CM. No work was done on this day.
8/29 No work was done on this day.
8/30 No work was done on this day.
8/31 No work was done on this day.
9/3 No work was done on this day.
9/4 Workers showed up at 10, removed the counters/backsplash in the kitchen & the 2 master bathroom counters. They partially installed the kitchen counters & I was told that the kitchen sink had not come in yet. We're 3 weeks into the job & the sink still hasn't come in? The workers left to pick up some more granite pieces for the kitchen around 2:30. I waited for 3 hours until 5:30 & called
to find out where they were & was told they'd be back the next day.
9/5 The kitchen sink came in today. The workers arrived around 9:30. They removed the remaining bathroom counter & installed the bathroom counters/sinks in both bathrooms. They left for the day at 1:30 rather than install the the rest of the kitchen counter & sink so the plumber could hook all of them up at once. The plumber came late that evening to hook up the bathroom sinks after I told
I had no working sinks in the house.
9/6 Getting used to the granite guys showing up between 9 & 10, I waited until 11 to call
to find out where they were. I was informed that
had an emergency come up, but would be back the next day. No work was done on this day.
9/7 The painter showed up at 8:30 to put the primer on the cabinets & doors. He completed this step & left at 4:30. The granite guys showed up at 9 & finished installing the counters & sink.
9/9 The painter showed up at 8:30 to paint the cabinets & doors. He finished & left at 5:00.
's workers came out at 8:30 to install the pot rack & reinstall the cabinet doors so the painter could add the glaze. The plumber came out later that day to hook up the kitchen faucet & broke a drain line that required cutting a hole in the wall to repair it.
's workers came out at 8 to repair the hole in the wall & repaint it. The painter came out at 8:45 to put the glaze on the cabinets, but since the plumber had beaten up the cabinets while installing the faucet, the painter had to repaint the cabinets.
9/12 The painter showed up at 8:30 & added the glaze to the cabinets. He finished up at 3:30 & made some minor touch ups that I requested. I was very impressed with the painters. The granite guy showed up at 4:30 to start installing the backsplash. Since
the glaze was still wet, it was decided to come back the next day to install it.
9/13 The granite guy showed up at 8:45 to install backsplash. I was told by the supervisor that I had to go select the grout I wanted for the backsplash. Why wasn't I told this prior to the guy being there & waiting on the grout to complete the job? I was impressed with the backsplash guys work.
9/14 No work was done on this day.
9/16 Workers arrived at 8:30 to correct the installation of the pot rack & several wrap up jobs. The granite guys arrived at 9:30 to clean & seal the counter tops. FINALLY, the job is complete!!! Sort of.
9/17 Received final invoice at 8:40am.
's asking for final payment & hasn't even offered to do a final walk through to make sure everything is done to my satisfaction. Collecting money seems to be the fastest thing they do.
Total time = 5 weeks for work & 7 weeks from initial contact
Total actual work time = Less than 2 weeks
Total spent = $11,260.91
Total frustration = 98%
The look I was trying to get was achieved.
The pricing was excessive (I should've shopped around more)
The quote didn't clearly spell out what was my responsibility & what was theirs.
There was a serious lack of communication, urgency & updates from
The attention to detail was sorely lacking.
There was little to no onsite supervision.
Punctuality & actually showing up was pathetic.
's a nice guy, but I will never use
Construction ever again & will not recommend his service to anyone. "
"It was an excellent experience from start to finish. Once they got started the whole job took a little over 2 weeks and was worth every minute. The crew was courteous, hard working and did their best to minimize to dust, dirt and inconveniences . Excellent job on the cleanup.
(owners) were immediately ...more responsive to any calls or questions we had. We are very pleased with the results and would recommend
"Finally we have our dream kitchen! Our house was built in 1982 and looked it.
provided one of three bids and we selected him based on price and his enthusiasm. From the beginning the crew was more than adequately prepared to do the job. They were professional, punctual, cleaned up after themselves and did the job to the schedule ...more he outlibned from the start. As the job unfolded he accommodated numerous additions we made to the scope of work at a reasonable price. When asked, he offered suggestions and at one point even changed a door threshold that was in poor condition even if he had to absorb the cost, which we gladly paid. He took pride in his work as any good artist or master craftsman would. His carpenter designed a wine/coffee bar on the fly which is absolutely superb! His painter was able to match the thirty year old stain to a T and his tile man installed the floor throughout a dining room, living room, kitchen, breakfast room and back hallway to perfection. We plan further remodeling in the future and would not consider using anyone else! Thank you Tri Way. "
"I spent over $12,000 because I had to buy the mirror, the bar and fixtures. On my own time I had to go different places to find those items. I am still so angry about it. Nobody should use them because they lie. It is a tiny bathroom; it is 5x8 and I had waited 30 years to have it redone. I paid half upfront. The people that worked for them were good ...more and did very good work. They lied to me about the cabinets. He had me go to a different store to get the cabinets I wanted and then he didn't give me what I wanted. I told him that wasn't what I wanted and he said it was. He didn't order it from the store that I picked it out from because I went back there and they hadn't placed an order from them. His name was
and he is one of the owners. I paid a lot of money. They have been in business for a long time so I didn't think they would lie to me. I don't use the bathroom because I am still so angry about it. I paid a lot of money and I had to do a lot of the legwork myself in picking out things. I wouldn't recommend them because they shouldn't get business if they lie. The quality of the rest of the work was good except for the cabinets. It wasn't a great price; it was middle of the road. They did okay on punctuality because they were here on time."
"After the first of the year, my husband and I decided to have our bathrooms remodeled. We contacted several contractors who came in and gave us some very costly estimates. We had almost made our decision, and then we received a flyer in the mail for
. My husband called them and set up a meeting with
(their ...more foreman). He was very knowledgeable and was very patient with us. He explained processes of how installations of different things would work and how they would stage the projects. We received an estimate that was about $5000 cheaper than the rest!. At first I thought they only estimated one bathroom, but it was both! We signed up with
and they began work just a couple of days later. Their workers were always on time, and very respectful. They always cleaned up after themselves and were very conscious they were in my home, and not just a job site. They did beautiful work, and they were very fast. I absolutely love my new bathrooms! it was a wonderful experience dealing with
, and we will definitely be calling them in the future. Thank You
