Business Description: Arborwood Construction provides Houston area residents with household repairs, renovations and additions. We have a base of customers that use our services for general household repairs and improvement projects (i.e. painting, power washing, carpet cleaning, siding repair, faucet leaks etc.) We also have a base of real estate agents that use our services for preparing house and correcting defects form inspection reports. Many of our remodeling jobs and additions come from customers who have used our services through their real estate agent. Our remodeling jobs range from small painting jobs, to window / door replacements to full kitchen / bath remodels. We also build additions to houses including additional rooms, finishing bonus rooms, building new rooms in attic space and attached patio/sun rooms. Throughout the companies history, we have done little public advertising. We are mainly known through referrals from our past customers and real estate agents. We are members of the Greater Houston area BBB and currently have an A+ rating. Arborwood is owned an operated by John Klink of Cypress, TX. We have four full time workers who complete most of our repair and remodeling items. We also use a number of regular subcontractors for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, concrete, tile, flooring and painting. We typically only use one subcontractor in a given field. This allows the owner and the employees to get to know the subcontractor and they truly become a part of our team. Arborwood Construction carries Liability Insurance which covers all employees and subcontractors. In addition, we carry Worker Compensation Insurance for all employees. The owner current provides all initial customer interface and completes all bids and estimates. All bids are written on the computer and emailed or mailed to customers. In most situations, Arborwood Construction does not charge for providing quotations. At times, when our services are being used to assist an individual is determining to wether or not purchase a house, we may charge for our services. At the completion of each job, an invoice is written and emailed the customers for their records. Checks are the only method of payment accepted at this time. We generally do not provide written contracts on jobs. We use our bid sheet as our contract. Any deviations from the initial bid is discussed, agreed upon and documented in an email to the customer.
