Went very poorly. He asked me to wire $5000 to order kitchen cabinets for my condo remodel. I wired $8000 in good faith, $5000 as a deposit for kitchen and bath cabinats to be ordered immediately on November 4, 2013 and the other $3000 to "front" for construction materials FOR MY COND.(not to be used to complete another outstanding remodel of his).
He had the money on November 4, 2013. As of February 21, 2014 he still had not ordered my cabinets. He only remodeled 2 showers and charged me $8000 per bathroom for very small
work. He initially installed brown tile in one bathroom when I was very specific about wanting white tile. He does not use e-mail, only sends texts. He does not have a website. To date, he has not completed anywhere near $8000 worth of work TOTAL in my condo and the entire remodel (2 baths and kitchen) was to be finished by January 25, 2014 (he had from November 4, 2013- January 24, 2014 to do this work) and my condo is losing money by not being in the rental pool. After further exploration on my part, it is very disconcerting to find that he has a reputation for unreliability, even though he has remodeled about 30 condos in our complex.

I am uncomfortable putting the huge amount of the cost of service for everyone to see.
I used
Corpus Christi Home Builders Provider Name Locked
many times. He redid my kitchen, put in hardwood floors,
constructed a patio roof, and many minor projects also.
I trusted him enough to contract him to put
a new addition on my house costing enough money that perhaps he can retire. The problem is that a 3 month job took 13
months. In my opinion he has no
organizational skills. One time the
plumber came for an hour and didn’t come back for 3 weeks. Meanwhile we were waiting for the
plumber. Most times there would be a
crew of 2 guys and some days I guess the work was so minor that at days end, I
had no idea what they had done all day.
The project could at least have been done in 6 months if he could have
had several jobs going on at the same time like you see on TV. His excuse was that he didn’t want guys
running into each other.

Also, the order of things was off. For example, once he did the hardwood floor
we had to wait until it dried to do the bathroom tile. Also, all work after that was done with the
hardwood floor covered. It’s kind of
like doing the hardwood floor and then painting the walls: that type of organized mind.

But the reason I am writing is that now
that he has his money, he has not returned many many phone calls over the past
month and twice when he did answer the phone he promised up one side and down
the other that he is going to fix the leaking shower and the shower plate that
was put in upside down. We are now
getting another plumber to fix the work and taking him to court.

Even when he hadn’t been paid in full he
hardly ever returned phone calls. Some
things are understood because subcontractors have other work to do but he
doesn’t write anything down and then forgets.
Use this guy only if you have lots of
patience and lots of time to blow.

The ratings above are for the company being reviewed and their carpenters, not the subs that they used. This company is a coordinating service, not necessarily a contractor.

The load bearing wall removal actually exceeded our expectations on both price, quality and timeliness. The wall between the kitchen/dining and between the living/dining were removed and beams were installed. The subcontractor who performed that work was great.

Drywall work was poor and cost more than we thought it should (and cost double what they budgeted). I believe the coordinator is no longer using this dry wall person any longer.

Tile work was high quality and the workers were very professional. Same with the plumbing and electrical.

Electrical work was completed and was good, however, it took them over a month to finish the kitchen electrical (outlets, appliances, undercabinet lights, etc.) install. They kept coming back off and on for a month. They could have gotten the work done in a few days with two electricians. This added over a month to the job.

They coordinated the install of our custom kitchen cabinets that were factory finished. The carpenters were pretty rough on them. My advice is to have pre finished cabinets installed by professionals (hire your own), otherwise, if you are having the cabinets finished on site, then you could use their carpenters.

Every week the builder drops off an invoice, with the subs' invoices attached. Sometimes there was no detail in the sub's invoice. This was sometimes frustrating because it was not easy to know what we were paying for. We asked for more detail on future invoices and rarely got it. The main reason we wouldn't use this coordinator again is the way the billing is done. Also, there isn't much incentive for them to finish up the job, since it is invoiced as 'cost plus.' This job took 4 1/2 months. Probably could have taken 3 months.

were really good, it was really very good. They worked with us and walked us through everything and talked to us about everything and all that. When we had a home inspection done, they were on top of it, everything was fixed and done just the way we wanted it. I mean, they’ve been really good with the work so far.

We took bids on the work and
Corpus Christi Home Builders Provider Name Locked
was competitive but not the cheapest - took a look at her prior jobs and the quality appeared to warrant going with her firm. Best decision we made !
Getting a contractor can be really a tough proposition, they may be good but their subs are not all up to par - or the subs may be good but the contractor is hard to find, always busy and not there once you sign the contract. That is not the case with
Corpus Christi Home Builders Provider Name Locked
Builders.
From the start she was helpful but not pushy - worked with us and designed the addition that we felt would work. She started on time and each one of the trades came by to talk with us and let us know what they would be able to do and how they would compete their part of the job. Each one of the trades was a complete professional at what they did, each one completed their work on time and within budget.

was on the job site at least once every day sometimes twice. following up - making sure it was done as expected. She would show up on Saturdays just to check up on how things were going. Quality work was demonstrated from the concrete work to the bricklayers - the folks that did the tile were the best i have seen - the shower work was showroom quality. Cabinet maker was tops, matched the existing work perfectly (actually was better quality)
I strongly recommend
Corpus Christi Home Builders Provider Name Locked
Builders for any type of contractors work you may have, our project took several months of daily activity and and all through the project she made sure we were on time, on budget and pleased with the outcome.

i was given a bid for somebody pull up the bathroom tile and subloor and reapair the damage. the bid included materials to do the floor,
Corpus Christi Home Builders Provider Name Locked
down lamenant and put baseboards. as well as, replace toilet and sink. when they started the demo, we saw the damage went under the tub as we suspected it did. ram told us it "wasn't that bad". we still wanted it done right. so we convinced him to finish the job he started.relunctantly, he agreed to level the extra 10 squared feet. we told him that instead of laying the new floor and baseboards, just put the backer board sub-flloor down. it would be less labor and less materials. extra materials were 2 2x6s, a sheet of plywood and "backer borad". about fifty bucks of materials. however the new fool and baseboards would have come out to way more than that, as well as the extra labor costs. we still agreed to pay him the $950 from the bid.( we just wanted it done) he demoed on a tuesday morning, left at 2pm. came back 4 days later to "finish".stayed maybe 4 hours! i was expected to pay for 2 full days of labor? then he tries to say the bid was for only 1 day of labor....totally false! our realtor was standing there when he told us he could do it in 2 days easily. i even asked him twice if he was sure it would only take 2 days! why would he write a bid for 1 day of labor? they were working for less than 5 hours both days! not only that, their lunch break, my husband demoed more than half the bathroom! we still said we would pay him the $950! the guy i hired, was of course, supervising the 2 guys actually doing the wrok....i don't care as long as its done right. when they finally came back 4 days later, they peeled off duct tape they had put on my freshly painted walls and the paint came off with it...common sense that would happen, right? when they are actually putting in the subfloor the "supervisor/owner" is gone doing something for another job he started the day after he started mine! they put EXTERIOR SIDING as my floor, instead of durarock as we discussed....i guess it was cheaper....and he didn't think we would notice. my husband's father is a commercial contractor....we know the difference! the tuesday they stared, my husband had to go out of town for work.......they discussed the changes and my husband told ram if there were to be any extra labor or materials costs to tell him then or write them down and my husband would take care of them when he returned. he said he was not paying more than the bid for something he could easily do himself! we can screw down plywood! i don't want to be charged more than the $950! ram tells my husband" don't worry about that, i'll take care of it." to us that meant since he wasn't buying all the materials or doing all the labor included in the bid(vinyl, laying the vinyl, baseboards, replacing sink, and toilet), that we would just call it even..... when he finished 4 days later, as they are packing up at NOON, he casually mentions that we owe an extra $130! when i ask what for, he pulls out a receipt and puts it back in pocket just as quick."i'll talk to your husband, about it." like i am incompetent. my husband told him,"we had to replace the siding you put on my floor, i am not paying you anything more and we won't be calling you for the plumbing, either. " they also left the TRASH TRAILER UNDER MY CARPORT FOR 2 WEEKS! one week he couldn't pick it up because there was " a death in the family" the next week" my truck broke down in houston" whatever! this morning, 15 days after "finishinf the work on my house, he shoes up...dumps trash out of the trailer into my front yard and tells me that he has put a mechanic's

on my house!!!! i'll see you in court!!! do not let this happen to you!!!!

This guy is a con artist. Absolutely do not hire this guy and his company. He failed to complete the job leaving my bathroom gutted with broken tile all over the floor, an exposed drain where the toilet was, and a gaping hole in the wall where a door was to be placed. He was to replace some paneling on the exterior of the house but did not. He was to install tile on the floor but did not. We paid for him to do the job but he only did a fraction of it. I have since learned that he has done this to a number of people. I am

him for $4,077. I have filed a police report on him. The case number is: 1305250078.

The work was excellant. The job was done exceptionally well. Soft spots and rotted spots were repaired. Daily job performance was excellant. They showed up on time and were extremely competent in their work and work ethics. Mr
Corpus Christi Home Builders Provider Name Locked
, the owner, was on-site daily and stayed in constant contact with me during the whole process. He pointed out problem areas and advised the best way to handle each situation. The previous roofers from 10 years before, had left a great deal to be desired. Shortage of nails, entire plywood sections not nailed down. Holes not repaired etc. etc. Mr
Corpus Christi Home Builders Provider Name Locked
mad e sure that every detail was corrected and repaired. He added an additional 8 roof vents, sealed and calked all vents, used Galvanized nails rather than plated nails. Used 6 nails per shingle rather than the required 4 nails per shingle. He renailed all the plywood sheeting with nails because the previous roofer had used staples instead of nails and had missed the rafters on over 40% of the entire roof. The only thing holding the roof down all these years was the weight of the shingls.

His finished job was beyond my expectations. They cleaned up the entire perimeter of the house each day before leaving work. They spread tarps over all the bushes and plants and were very careful about leaving any nails or trash after each work day. Their final ceanup was exceptional. They used a magnet to catch any stray nails that may have gone into the lawn or drivewar.
Mr.
Corpus Christi Home Builders Provider Name Locked
completed the job at his bid which, I might add, was several thousand dollars less than the 5 other bids I received. He came highly recommended to me by a relative and I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I am certainly glad I did. I would highly recommend

to anyone. Thanks for a fine job Mr.
