Contact: Garland, Amy
Business Description: Amy Garland has been a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) since January 2004 (although at that time, they were called Registered Massage Therapists - RMT). A native of San Antonio, she attended The Academy for Massage Therapy Training (AMTT). There she learned the basics of Swedish Massage along with the more advanced modalities such as prenatal massage, deep tissue, and trigger point therapies. AMTT also taught her valuable spa techniques, such as salt glows, mud wraps, herbal wraps, and mini facials, just to name a few. During her years of practice, she has also learned popular techniques such as hot stone massage, and is currently seeking a class in which to learn how to help those who suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome. Having suffered with migraine headaches from an early age, she loves helping others learn how to relieve headaches with a few simple techniques and one amazing household item. Be sure to ask about it at your first appointment. Amy escaped city life with her husband and two daughters in late 2007 and loves living out in the beautiful Canyon Lake area. In addition to being a wife, mother, and massage therapist, she has worked for Comal ISD since the 2007-08 school year. In the summer, she also enjoys working outside with the Guadalupe Canoe Livery team, transporting water recreation aficionados. Other miscellaneous factoids: Amy proudly served her country for over 6 years in the United States Army Reserves while her husband served over 21 years in the United States Navy. They were married in 1992. They purchased their land in 2001 and were able to build their dream house in 2008. Both look forward to the day when the daughters will be self-sufficient, and retirement will be a reality. Amy looks forward to continuing to serve the residents and visitors of her new Canyon Lake community. Call today to schedule your appointment!
