Foundation Repair Reviews in Burleson

We signed a contract n the amount of $6,300.00 on September 23, 2008 for this company to install 20 piers under the foundation of our home with a lifetime, transferable warranty. Although we had 2 other bids from local, reputable companies we went with
because their bid was considerably lower and the sales rep assured us we only needed 20 piers. After the work was completed we were told to wait at least 90 days before making any repairs or doing the badly needed kitchen remodel as the house needed time to settle with the new piers in place. After the 90 days was up the foundation continued to shift and the company was out many, many time for warranty repairs and to this day the interior repairs and kitchen remodel have not been done because we never can get much past the waiting period before they have to come back out for more warranty work. Our kitchen floor has numerous missing or crack tiles. and we still have cracks in the walls and doors sticking. At one point early on in this process the company reps said there was probably a leak somewhere causing the foundation to continue moving. We own and operate a local, reputable plumbing company and we knew there was no leak but they insisted on sending out another plumbing company. The plumber they sent did the testing and of course found no leak. He told us he did not know why they sent him as there was nothing to even indicate a water leak.
The warranty work continued and as of January of 2013 the foundation has continued to shift. On June 9, 2011 the original rep who sold us the job came out again and said he could not figure out why it was still moving. He said he thought we needed 14 more piers and feeling we had very little choice we paid him another $5,850.00 for the additional piers and the crew came back out and installed them. We waited another 90 days, still anxious to do our kitchen remodel and make interior wall and door repairs, but the foundation continued to move. On August 22, 2011 we called again to let them know we still had serious shifting going on and the rep came back out and told us they needed to jackhammer the floors in every room and install another 12 piers for an additional $4,000.00. Again, feeling we were in too deep to stop at that point and fearing that another company coming in would cause
. to void our lifetime warranty we paid the money and signed a third contract. They pulled up the carpet and pad and installed the additional piers. The house looked like a war zone. We paid a carpet company several thousand dollars to replace the pad and re-
the carpet. We waited the 90 days hoping the nightmare was over. The foundation continued to move. The most recent re-do was in January of this year. While the crew foreman was inside the house doing his measuring to make sure the floor was level once again he saw the crack in the fireplace. Apparently he reported it to the office manager because we soon received a phone call from her telling us she was sending a repair person out to repair the fireplace crack. We were surprised and grateful because we knew they were not responsible for repairs resulting from the foundation work. We accepted the offer and they sent a fellow out to repair the fireplace and while he was at out home he went ahead and mortared the foundation where the brick meets. There was no mortar at all before he did that. As soon as the mortar began to dry it became apparent he had used a different shade of mortar and the result was a very visible line going up the front of the fireplace with mortar drying over the edges of the brick surrounding the repair. When my husband said something to the worker he too an attitude, finished the exterior and left without saying another word. I called and spoke to the office manager who offered to send Brick Doctor out again. The Brick Doctor representative came out and looked at the work and said whoever did it did not know what they were doing. He stated he saw the unsightly exterior mortar on the foundation when he pulled up to the

did before making the necessary repairs. We did not hear anything from the foundation company for a couple of weeks so we started calling. The office manager was unable to take my calls or was not in. I left messages for call-backs but calls were not returned until my husband drove to the office and met the office manage going into the building and asked her to call me. She did and made excuses (tax time, busy, etc.) and said she had been unable to get the owner to return her calls to approve the work. She finally called on Thursday, April 18, 2013 and said the owner refused to pay Brick Doctor to do the work He would send another foundation man out but we feel that the fireplace in our living room should be done by a professional. The owner said the work was done as a courtesy to begin with so they were not responsible for it. We did not request the work, their foreman did, and in any event even if the work was a courtesy it should have been done properly. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Fort Worth, Texas and received a scathing response from this company today. It looks as though we will have to pay to get the fireplace repaired and the cost for this will be much higher than it would been originally because now they have to undo the damage
's man left behind. We are currently a little past the most recent 90 day waiting period before cosmetic repairs and remodeling can be done and we are very hesitant to start as the cost will be substantial and we have already been out so much money and have endured endless inconvenience over the last almost 5 years.
