Alvin Remodeling Contractors Reviews
I left a final phone message on voicemail at 9:00 a.m. stating that the job will go to another contractor and this company if fired for non-communication with the customer. Still no word from them."
necessary tools to carry out all aspects of the job. They cannot cut tile that
requires anything other than a straight
in the master bath and a crack in the tile for the hall bath faucet). They will
also use the tools in your garage without asking (maybe I should have charged
them a rental fee!). Several times I knocked down broken tiles that were
installed (all but the one they broke on a $300 mural for behind the
this couldn’t be replaced) because they were broken. The kitchen
tile has stains all over because they never sealed the tile. The tile on the
floor in the hall bath is the same color as the shower tile even though we
picked out a different color. They broke the first whirlpool tub and then told
us to find the parts needed to fix it and then told us that they can’t make a
frame because the new tub was oval ( we also had to show the guys how to make
an access panel for the tub. Why they were trying to figure out how to get one
to open towards the motor is beyond me.) We had to buy 90% of the accent tiles
for the shower, tub, and floor in the master because
knew about it for 3 weeks. We were never reimbursed for these. We had to clean
up joint compound from the floor, windows and blinds because they hadn’t. Their
contract states that, “After completion the house will be thoroughly cleaned.”
This was never done.
the customer’s responsibility. After they started the work and I asked about
what permits I needed to get, I was told that we didn’t have to get them by
would help us obtain permits if we needed him to, but we would need to pay
additional fees for a licensed electrician and plumber to come out to the site at
the time the city did the inspections. After reading up on the permit process,
I learned that any work they did prior to an inspection would have to be
redone. Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place!
I would not recommend this company to anyone. They are
dishonest, take short-cuts on the work and
correcting things that they messed-up and finishing jobs that weren’t completed
(caulking, patching, etc.).
