"We were very impressed with the crew that serviced our Superior DVR5000 gas fireplace. They fixed the unit in ten minutes, and then spent the next forty minutes" cleaning the unit and then spray painted the metal box to make it look new. They also added some type of wool shavings to make it look like real wood embers were glowing at the bottom of the gas logs. They cleaned up and left everything spotless. And they were very professional and informative throughout the whole process. Absolutely, positively will use them again for future repairs or replacements.

"On Wednesday, Feb. 18t, 2015 Hot Springs Spa of
's service department made a house call to my residence to fix a “no heat”" problem with my Hot Springs Jetsetter hot tub. The service personnel were polite but I had the feeling that they were lacking in technical expertise and I discussed this in detail with the store manager,
Long, on the afternoon of the service call. In the course of the service technician's “trouble-shooting” he replaced every component in the tub that was remotely associated with heat. That included the heater relay, board, heater, and both temperature probes. The chances of all those components being faulty is remote if not impossible. In the end the service personnel talked to the Hot Springs factory (for the third time) and were advised that they should check if the heater was drawing current. It was. This amperage check should have been done initially and throughout the trouble-shooting period. On Friday, Feb. 20th I became aware that Hot Springs had charged me over $1000.00 for the service call. I couldn’t believe it. By frame of reference my last
Jetsetter had a heater problem in 2005 and that cost $339.74 to correct. All the parts replaced on Feb. 18th would have cost $498.71 if purchase over the internet. And most likely not all were faulty. I called the service manager again on the 20th and expressed my displeasure. The results of our Feb.20th conversation was that manager accused me of lying and said he would check into the situation further and get back to me. He never did. As of Wednesday, Feb. 25th I had not heard from Mr.
so I left a voice message. It is now Thursday, Feb. 16th and I still haven’t received a return telephone call. I would have liked to reach a mutually agreed upon resolution but it appears that is not going to happen. I have been a customer of this company and have purchased three different hot tubs from them during this time frame. I will no longer do business with Hot Springs Spas.

My order of preference - first choice a jacuzzi/hot tub repairman (from a jacuzzi/hot tub/sauna distributor), second choice a plumber (many do not work on hot tubs, jacuzzi's and sauna because they cnanot afford to stock parts). An electrician might be able to fix it if it is a connection problem, but such motors are seldom repaired if the problem is internal, just replaced - which would be a jacuzzi repairman/plumber type job.
?

You will have to find out what your model costs new - looks like they run from about $400 to 1700 depending on size. IF yours is at the lower end, might be just as cheap to replace it, with parts and labor. If not low end, then repair probably works. Typical pricing of components that might have gone out - switch $80, timer/control unit $130, heating element $100 (probably most likely to have failed) - so if only one of these went out, figuring $100-200 labor, probably cheaper to fix it. I would contact your dealer for a better idea.

BTW - here is a Saunatec instruction on maintenance on the heating element and rocks, failure to follow can shorten heating element life, if that is what went out (and probably the simplest to replace) -

I'm sorry to say there aren't many of us on here with adequate experience working on pools, myself included.  My suggestion would be to contact a few local companies specializing in pool renovation and have them give their recommendations and bids for the work, breaking down order of operations so you know what to expect at which stages.  Check Angie's List for referrals in your area and cross check those with the BBB for any unresolved complaints.

We just moved to
Abilene Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
when we discovered our pool needed a lot more work then we anticipated. We had planned on just resurfacing the pool, but since we had cracked tiles we decided to re-tile and therefore put on new coping as well. We also figured that since we were re-doing our whole pool, we might as well make it look awesome and redo the whole deck. We researched who we would have do the work and got about 4 estimates. We felt the most comfortable with
Abilene Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
and went with our gut. Glad we did. They did a fantastic job and the pool is the highlight of our house. They finished the job quickly
and efficiently. It makes our backyard look like the true FL home I always wanted. Thank you

The leak specialist was on time and did a thorough job. He found a leak in the skimmer and did a temporary patch. He did a great job of explaining everything and was very professional.
The technician who replaced the skimmer was also very professional. He did a excellent job of replacing the skimmer and retiling the area around the skimmer with tile we supplied him. The only problem was punctuality. We were initially told that the job of replacing the skimmer would take around one and a half days, but it actually took about a week. If we were told that he would be at our house at 9:00 am, he would show up in the afternoon or the next day. Since it was work being done to our pool in the wintertime, the amount of time it took and when the work was done was not that important. We were very pleased with the work performed and would use them again.
