"Each time we were told to show up a half hour before the Dr appt to have xrays done. The xrays took 10 minutes. The doctor consistently runs behind. Not a little behind, a lot behind." As in 2 hours behind. For a 3:15pm appointment you are expected to show up at 2:45 pm yet the doctor won't see you until 5:15-5:30. He then
a total of 5 minutes with you. Go to this doctor if you feel like waiting for hours on end for a 5 minute appointment. At the end he looks at my son's wrist and says, "Well its not perfect but it's better than it was".

"The receptionist was terrible. She litterally called my husband a liar. She talked to him in a very demeaning manner. She would repeat back what he said word for word very slowly and" with a condensending
. My husband was just looking for someone to help him. He may have been confused on the phone with her. I would understand that she was not understanding but to actually call him a liar was a step too far. He was not lying about anything. The following week, I called the office and asked to speak to the office manager to complain about this incident and it was the same woman! I'd write the Doctor a letter but I figure she probably opens his mail.

"From the get go Dr
staff at the Irmo office was polite. They explained every step of the process. Dr
reviewed my MRI with me as well" as my efforts to treat the injury. Together we decided staying the course with conservative treatment was the best answer for now. I felt fully informed when I left.

Sounds like you should be pursuing a disability claim.  Also, you could speak to your previous doctor frankly about your concerns.
Have they made orthotics for your shoes that distribute your weight better?

Whoops - I just realized that you may have been looking for Angie's List information on providers outside your home market. To see information on providers that aren't in your home Angie's List chapter, you can elect to pay a small addditional fee (generally about $15 to $20) to add another city's Angie's List to your existing memember.

Hi,

This is James W. with Member Care. Thanks for posting your question.

It looks like when you signed up online on 8/5/2014, that you accidentally joined our greater Portland chapter instead of our Salem/Corvallis chapter that your zip code falls under. I have transferred your subscription to that chapter, so you will now have access to the correct area.

I hope this information helps! Please let me know if I can assist further. You can respond to this thread or submit a new Answers post. You can also reach us at 1-866-783-2980. We're open weekdays from 8:00 am - 9:00 pm and Saturdays 8:00 am - 5:00 pm ET.

Thanks again!

Outstanding, given the circumstances. First of all, the facility has free valet parking, and ample disabled parking. Check-in was EZ, the only wrinkle was that I was charged a co-pay that I should have not been charged and am still waiting, two weeks later, for a credit back. But Dr.

was smart, funny and direct. He ordered more x-rays (I had brought mine from Urgent Care), and then gave me a shot. He also ordered an MRI. Within 24 hours I had some noteworthy relief, and within 72 hours, I was near-normal. My MRI showed exactly what Dr.

suspected, a torn meniscus and a kneecap issue as well. I have PT coming up and do not anticipate surgery! Grand...

Excellent prognosis ahead of schedule 17 days out walking climbing stairs riding a bike in PT. Back driving and returned to work. Still moderate stiffness in knee area but no pain as per prior visits prior to surgery. The surgery was quick and I was in and out and home from surgery in 3 hours. Left hospital on own power assisted by a walker only. Three days after surgery was in a cane negotiating stairs. Spent 1 week home working with PT helping me get back. Very satisfied with results and prognosis.

PA, because the dr doesn't do wrists or hands. She was polite, friendly, and appeared to be competent. I was referred for test to an outside dr then to come back for the results. Other dr can't get me inn for a month so sometime around thanksgiving I'll be back to see

and fingers crossed they will have the test results. So to sum up, I'm still in pain, without any treatment other than some cream, and I have no prognosis. I am gonna follow thru with this course only because I don't want to start over. I'm not sure if that is considered normal around here because I'm new to the area , but I am gonna find a different office when I get a second opinion. I would have preferred to see a dr, not a PA on my first visit, and that dr to have the equipment nessecary to test and treat In house or at least a faster way than this.

The nurse practitioner gave me all of the options available and for me I just wanted to get it done sooner so that the recovery time for both knees would be about the same in the long run. It was scheduled far enough out to give me time to schedule it with the HR dept. at my place of employment. The Admin who did scheduling was very friendly as well as the girl that she was training. Overall I was very happy with the appointment on this day.

Dr.
Woodbury Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
was awesome! She understood my concerns and frustration and spent ample time explaining my options for treating my arthritic knees. She provided me with detailed explanations of the surgical options and advised a procedure that she believed was a good option for my age and wasn't necessarily the "popular" surgical option. She followed up with me to answer my questions by email and personal phone call. I was very impressed.

He was very good. He is very personable and it was very easy to get to see him. He answered all my questions and said to come back if in future I was having any problems with it. He is very professional and explained everything very carefully. I had a lot of questions and called him back. He always answered or had me come in. He was very accessible and had very good bedside manner. Exactly what you wanted in a doctor - you want your questions answered, you want them to listen to you and take their time with you.

I was only in the hospital one day and I did have to walk up and down stairs and hallway before I left. I was also in physical therapy for 6 weeks with each knee. It did take me 3 months to get in to see him, since he was so busy. They offered a seminar a couple hours before the surgery. They helped me get out of pain and the surgery went flawless. The nurses and everyone else was top of the line.
