We contacted a few electricians in the area to see if they were available to do this work. We contacted
Sweetwater Electricians Provider Name Locked
and explained what we needed and provided him with a copy of the inspection report.
Sweetwater Electricians Provider Name Locked
came out the very next day to look at first-hand what needed to be done. He came out when he said he would and called us to say that it would take a half-day to make all of the repairs. He also said that he could complete the work that day if we wanted. The quote that he gave us was very fair. Based on some other work that we had done recently by another electrician, his quote was about half what we had expected the repairs to cost. When we got home that day, the work was finished and he had even left us an itemized invoice without us needing to ask for one. Overall,
Sweetwater Electricians Provider Name Locked
was professional, competent, prompt, and provided a high level of service.
Sweetwater Electricians Provider Name Locked
actually came out and had already completed the work before one of the other electricians we contacted had even returned our call. If the need ever arose, we would definitely hire
Sweetwater Electricians Provider Name Locked
do other electrical work for us.

KS Contracting was quick to schedule the work and completed it in a very professional manner. They arrived when they said they would, and they didn't leave until the work was completed to both our satisfaction and theirs. They were very deliberate, and conscientious in everything they did, keeping both their safety and the safety of the public in mind at all times. They always left everything cleaned up, each time they left at the end of the day's work.

My interactions with
Sweetwater Electricians Provider Name Locked
took place over several months. Initially, I was very pleased with the company. Unlike a previous electrical company that didn't do much to troubleshoot the problem, they took me seriously when I told them that one of my arc fault breakers kept tripping and leaving me in the dark. They did a good job of troubleshooting and found that the problem was with the wiring in my bedroom lamp. At the time, they also told me that the previous company had left a hot wire in my attic during a rewiring job, and that they had also failed to ground the outlets that had been rewired. They fixed these problems, also.
Before leaving, they suggested that some existing circuits should be split and additional circuits installed. I told them to send me an estimate and, after waiting a few weeks, finally received one for $685. I decided to schedule the work, but each time the service was scheduled, I was told they could not make it. The last time service was scheduled, I called the day before to see if they were still coming, and was again told they could not make it.
In January, I decided to contact the company again, and was told that the electrician who had been to my house was no longer employed there and that they apologized for the inconvenience. I decided to hold off moving forward, but in April, I emailed them asking them to reevaluate the situation and to let me know if I truly needed additional circuits. In answer to my email, I was told to call the office and make an appointment. I called, but no one got back to me, so about a week later I emailed them again. They apologized for the delay and said that they were going through some staff changes and wanted a phone number to contact me (which they should have had already). With all the ongoing difficulties, I was not feeling good about hiring this company, so I contacted another electrician rated high on Angie's List. He came to my house promptly and checked out the situation. He did not see any reason to split any circuits or add new ones.

Job went very well, and was accomplished very quickly and professionally. Company always responsive via phone or email. And while prices can ALWAYS be lower (at least from the homeowner's perspective!), it was far less that the highest bid I received for the same job.
Timeline (4 days flat, from 1st phone call to complete job!) is shown below. NOTE: In advance of "Install Day," I secured the EV Charger which the contractor would be installing, and also secured the necessary building permit from the LADBS. Both steps may have helped accelerate the job, so -- as they say -- "Your mileage may vary.")
TIMELINE:
8/18 @ 2 PM: Initial contact by phone. Representative listened to my needs and asked that I send a quick email -- to serve as a reminder.
8/18 @ 2:45 PM: Sent email.
8/18 @ 10:30 PM: Date set for estimate.
8/19 @ 12:30 PM: Estimator arrives. Price is acceptable. Commitments made.
8/19 @ 9:00 PM: Company confirms 7:30 - 8:00 AM start time, on 8/22.
8/22 @ 7:45 AM: I called company to reconfirm. Owner himself answers, confirms installer is enroute, with parts he's just picked up.
8/22 @ 8:15 AM: Installer arrives, begins work.
8/22 @ 1:30 PM: Work completed and successfully tested.
8/28 @ 1:00 PM: Inspector from LA Dept of Building and Safety examines work, gives final "OK"

I purchased this Big Deal for $89 dollars for two hours of labor at the end of June. I received one email from the company and never heard from them again. I emailed and called with no response until finally
Sweetwater Electricians Provider Name Locked
answered his phone on 8/22. He apologized for the lack of response and stated he would call me back early next week to set up an appointment. I waited until Thursday and finally called again and had an appointment scheduled for the next day.

arrived early, changed out the outlets and switches in my kitchen without any issue. I had 2 very old outlets in my living room that were very loose and needed new outlets.
Sweetwater Electricians Provider Name Locked
, went to the living room and immediately stated one of the outlets had burned and there was black on the top outlet. As
Sweetwater Electricians Provider Name Locked
was removing this outlet suddenly all power in the living room went out.

then went to the electrical panel and I assumed the circuit breaker had tripped and needed to be reset. Instead I was called over to my electrical panel and
Sweetwater Electricians Provider Name Locked
had opened my electrical panel to show me all the wires and the fact that I had a dead circuit. He then told me for $2000 he could provide me with a new electrical panel. I asked if he could not just get some parts to fix the circuit or just get it to work for now and that I would think about it. He then dropped his price to $1500, I continued to tell him I needed to think about it and he dropped the price to $1200. I finally agreed to have the panel replaced and he told me he would get the parts and return the next morning. Before
Sweetwater Electricians Provider Name Locked
left, he put caps on the wires to the 2 outlets in the living room and he left the room with no power. I felt uneasy about this situation so I contacted my regular electrician, who agreed to come out and take a look. He came out, put in the two new electrical outlets and told me I now have power in my living room, which I did. The cost $75.00. He also checked the electrical panel and told me it did not need to be replaced. I realize companies need to upsell to make money but I feel

, who is the owner tried to scam me.

Poorly. I couldn't get him to respond to my numerous (6) attempts to contact him over the course of a month and a half. Within a few days of me purchasing a Big Deal, he responded and told me that he didn't service my address, claiming that he couldn't work in Indiana due to "Legal red tape" and that Angie's List would refund it for me. I responded and pointed out that we recently moved and the address actually requested in the Big Deal information sent to the provider included our new address in Louisville. He never responded. After many more attempts to contact the provider, he refused to respond to anything. I'm not sure if he doesn't want to honor the original deal because he isn't making enough money on it or what. I'd still like him to honor my deal, but I can't get him to contact me back.

After just moving in to a new house we experienced several electrical issues including the failure of our hot water heater. I called to see if I could get some assistance over the weekend due to the loss of hot water and it is Labor Day weekend but was informed when I called that they don't offer emergency service on the weekend. Both Angie's list and their website (in multiple places) state they offer 24/7 emergency service.

Mr
Sweetwater Electricians Provider Name Locked
listened to what we warned done and explained how he would do it. We read about the whole house surge protector on the internet but were unsure what was involved. He explained why it would be a good idea since we live in a high electrical storm state. To install the protector was not expensive so we decided to have it done. Mr
Sweetwater Electricians Provider Name Locked
came with his two man crew to perform the job. He showed them what needed to be done and left. They worked all day and completed the job. Mr
Sweetwater Electricians Provider Name Locked
called later that night to make sure everything was done the way we wanted it. We assured him we were happy with the results. His workers were very professional.

It went great!
Sweetwater Electricians Provider Name Locked
was very professional, courteous and responsive. The electrician did a really good job of bending the conduit and the end result looked very nice. All nice ... level and straight runs of conduit. I will definitely hire them again as they have reasonable prices and do a fantastic job.
