THE 1ST DAY (the day of the estimate):
The next day they reported back, completing most of the work, except the vanity handles. They explained to me that they did not find the vanity handles at either place but assured me that they would find them online and be back to fix it in a couple of days. Even though they quoted for a full day of work, they said they were finished (and it only took 3 1/2 hours). They arrived around 9:30 that day and were gone before 1.
A couple of hours later, I found a leak on one of the new toilets and called them. They returned and proclaimed that it was now fixed. By that evening, I found the leak was NOT fixed and called them again. They came back again the following morning and finally got the leak to stop. They also assured me before they left that they were looking for the vanity handles online and when they found them, they'd come back to install them.
Two weeks later, I called
Two weeks after that (now four weeks after the original job), I called again and was told exactly the same as before, that he'd have to talk to his business partner and see if he found them.
Two weeks after that (6 weeks after the original job), I sent him a text on his cell phone, after not getting a reply, I sent another text the following day, asking if he'd gotten the first text. He said "no". So I forwarded the message to him once again...no reply.
One week later (7 weeks after the original job), I called him and explained to him that we really needed the work wrapped up and that it was taking way too long. He apologized and said that he would ask his business partner to look online and he would call me right back to let me know if he found them or not. No response.
One week later (now week 8), I had my husband call and speak with

After this entire experience, I am really shocked at the lack of customer service. No business should keep you hanging for 8 weeks for vanity handles (for any reason) and then to come back and expect you to pay BIG for more work because they can't find the handles that they promised to find in the first place. "THIS INVOICE SATISFIES ALL WARRANTIES". don't worry...we won't be needing your services any longer. You don't need to try to cover yourself for future issues that may arise. We'll get someone in here that cares more about the customer, finishing the job that's promised and you can bet that next time I won't pay it all before the work is done. It's all good though, I've learned an expensive lesson and I'm ready for the next contractor.
