"I've been using them for the last 8 years. They do a great job and are by far the best price, at least for the size of my lawn. don't expect customized" service beyond addressing a few specific issues, if you request, but otherwise it is a fairly canned service. I've used their pest control services in the past and will be changing that back to
next month.

"All went very well except for the lawn aeration. They came after a long dry spell and the soil was very compacted as it has a very high red clay content. Thus the" plugs were not universally scattered throughout the lawn so the grass seeds only laid on top of the soil. I did call them about this, and they came and did a touch up that did work. Unfortunately, the cold arrived very early this autumn, so I am not sure the new grass will survive the winter. I will not know until spring to say one way or the other. When they called about the renewal, I mentioned the aeration and reseeding did a poor job, and they are providing a spring aeration and seeding at no cost to me. Thus, I believe this company to be reliable and they said behind their "product" very well.

How to Get Rid of Springtails

One of the most effective ways to control springtails is to dry out the infested area. Springtails require a high-moisture environment to breed and thrive, living mostly off of algaes that grow in moist conditions. They will either leave the infested area or die out. If there is an infestation that cannot be controlled by drying out the infested area, use an appropriately labeled insecticide with a residual time These will typically be a liquid concentrate form, a wet-able powder form, or a dust product.  DO NOT APPLY UNTIL AREAS ARE DRY.  If area will not dry naturally, use Corn Starch to soak-up any lingering moisture and otherwise 'steer' any rain water or irrigation away from area.

Also, if there is a noticed springtail infestation around the perimeter of the structure, use the insecticide to do a barrier treatment and apply corn starch to reduce or eliminate moisture. Caulk and seal all cracks and crevices and inspect potted plants before they are brought into the house.

I would talk to your local lawn and garden supply store (or mill and feed) - NOT a box store or hardware store. There are also selective grass control chemicals. YOu can research this by Googling using search string      "Tall Fescue Control" - there are lots of articles by the USDA and individual state cooperative extension services.

There is a treatment called chlorsulfuron TFC (Tall Fescue Control) that will do this - it worked for me in western New York, but took 3 years to finish out all the tall fescue. It may now be limited to use by commercial applicators - pretty potent stuff. Can yellow bluegrass or make it phytosensitive, but our looked OK during treatment because the TFC was applied in the fall for best results, and our lawn was dormant till spring anyway.

Tall fescue can also be controlled by real short mowing, but only in areas where the bluegrass is dominant and really thrives so will eventually crowd out the trimmed fescue, but you may be too far north for that.

Wonderful, professional service. They would contact through email a few days prior to inform when they were coming to treat lawn. They always left a detailed summary report of the treatment done on that particular day. When I had an event planned for the weekend, I contacted them to be sure they did not come out the days prior to treat the lawn. They were very accommodating. All I have to do is mow the lawn and keep the grass watered after some treatments during the summer. Payment was easy. Either in full (they offer a discount) or on account. It could be done online on your personal account with the company. Your personal account retains all your payments, treatment options and details of visits. Communication through email was immediate and courteous. My lawn has not looked this good in four years and I have renewed for another year. I have received many complements and I must admit it is one of the best looking lawns on the street.

I was impressed with
Seymour Lawn Aeration Provider Name Locked
service. They were careful about confirming the appointment and arrived early. They followed up with no charge after the visit, even though the issue I asked them to address wasn't necessarily their issue. I was pleased with their work, and plan on using them again.

After some initial confusion about the start of my service..they arrived promptly and did the job in a very professional manner throughout the summer. Like all lawn companies they offered extra services but there was no pushiness involved. I still hate the "we'll start next summer unless you tell us differently" approach that all lawn services use, but this company appears to do what they say they are going to do and listens when you call them and responds well.

My grass is looking very nice and I have no problems with insects. I have grass only in the front, and it's not very large of an area; it doesn't take them long to do the work -- about 20 minutes total.

They did a great job. They treated my lawn at the time of the year that it needed to be treated and it still looks great.

They are very friendly. They show up when they are supposed to show up. They are reasonably priced. There is a guy that comes in here and makes sure that people doing the work are doing what they are supposed to and he talks to me about other things. So it is an attention to detail too. They were the best priced around for the tree service in January. So, I can go to one company and get things done on the outside without having to deal with three or four different places.

Absolutely outstanding ! Good communication with company. They got up all the leaves and left the place neat and tidy. I was very pleased. The company took great care to ensure everything was placed back neatly if It Had To Be moved. I would definitely hire this company again.
