"Overbooked. Over priced. Uneven haircuts. No where to sit when waiting for your dog. The shaved my friends dogs butt so bad she had to give him oatmeal baths for days on end. Overall horrible experience

"
is an amazing dog groomer. We have been using her since she started her business in 2011 and she is simply the best. Not only is she a great groomer but she" makes homemade all natural dog treats for her "clients", handmade bows for them and special doggy Holiday presents. She listens to the owners and does exactly what is asked of her. if she does not agree with the details she will explain her thought process about how and why she would do it differently but the final decision is always up to me.
( my dog) is a little skittish when it comes to new people touching her but
has always managed to put
at ease and now
welcomes
with the joy and excited tail wags. I recently moved to Connecticut and am so upset that
doesn't service this area ( we are simply too far away for it to make any sense). I am seriously considering do a "doggy date" at a friends house in
's service area so that I can schedule
to groom

"The staff is excellent. Our dog was well cared for by people who have great compassion for the animals that they care for. When we picked up our dog he as very relaxed and gave the" appearance that he enjoyed his boarding experience. He had been given a bath and his fur was fluffier than when we dropped him off for boarding.

Animal Grooming

Animal grooming is a regular part of pet ownership that you should budget for before adopting a pet. You can do this yourself at home or hire professional animal groomers in your area with storefront locations or mobile grooming services. Groomers typically base their fees on the breed, hair length and size of your pet. Mobile services may cost more, but take less time.

The staff is very professional and extremely friendly. After a few visits for my puppy's first shots and check ups I decided to have my pup spayed and chipped. The staff walked me thru the process and kept me informed of her condition throughout the day.The doctors and staff make you feel like your dog is their only concern when you're there and I like that.Their prices are fair and they even went as far as to explain shots that I requested were not necessary..I like honesty. If you love your pet they are the vet for you.

Extremely disappointed with this groomer. I was looking for someone to help me with my english mastiff.

was placed in a cage that was way too small for her size. She is approximately 170lbs & the largest cage on site is only big enough to hold a medium size dog comfortably. I was assured she would be placed in a larger cage, but when returning to pick her up she was still in a cage way too small that she could not move in. Also when picking her up she did not look any different from when I dropped her off hours before other than a cute bow around her neck. She was shedding all over the place like she had not even been touched with a brush after her bath & her undercoat was not touched. This was the main reason I sought out a dog groomer & when speaking to the groomer informed her of this.

, owner of

, asked me to bring my two golden retrievers to his kennel for a behavior assessment before their scheduled boarding. He told me to first obtain fecal samples and kennel cough vaccines from my vet, and have the dogs' records (tick treatments, rabies shots, etc.) faxed over. Only then could we set up a behavior assessment appointment.
My dogs had the mandatory vet visit that I paid $107 for, and my vet faxed the requested papers over to

promptly called my vet and said he'd never heard of my dogs, and why were they using up all his fax

on pets he'd never heard of? My vet called me about this, so I called

. Without apology, he said he'd forgotten all about me and my dogs' reservation. After jogging his memory, he assured me that it was all coming back to him, and we scheduled the mandatory behavior assessment.

is 45 minutes from my home.
A few days later, when I brought my dogs in, he brought us to the indoor playroom first. Immediately, he suspected my male was going to pee on the floor. I told him it wouldn't happen as they'd just gotten their morning walk. He responded, "If I had a dollar for every time someone told me that..." I said nothing more and he told me to go back to the office while he assessed my dogs. He told me the dogs were on camera, and I could watch them from the office. One by one, several other boarded dogs were invited into the room to meet mine. I watched my dogs respond with the obligatory sniffs and a little apprehension, but lots of wagging tails. There were no signs of aggression anywhere. I was very pleased to see this.
Then he took them outside. I watched from the window while my dogs seemingly got along with a good dozen other dogs in his care. They watched my dogs carefully as my female tried to fit in, and my male barked a few times and retreated once or twice in response to the great barrage of dogs. Note: During this time, a pit bull grabbed and held firmly the neck of another dog while playing. The workers seemed to ignore this act. Although it was not aggressive, I wondered if things could be different with my dogs, or other people's dogs for that matter..
Although I was certain that my golden retrievers had passed the required behavior test,

brought them back to me within ten minutes. Too my great surprise, he said that my male was too anxious, and had not passed the assessment. I told him that I didn't think that ten minutes was enough time to truly assess. He dismissed this, his mind clearly made up, and said I could bring them back another day for another try. Since I hadn't witnessed my dog acting overly anxious, I didn't see the point in trying to change

's mind. I took my paperwork and left.
I should feel relief that I won't be leaving my dogs in his care, but I was looking for cage-free boarding, and it's hard to come by. Folks should think twice before jumping through
Portland Pet Groomers Provider Name Locked
's pre-visit hoops. There are no guarantees that even your gentlest family dog will pass muster in this kennel. For the $50 per night that

charges for two dogs, you might as well get a sitter to come stay at your home. You'll save yourself the added vet expenses....and lots of aggravation.

They did a good job. We had planned to have our two dogs kenneled together, but our female was not handling it very well. They contacted us immediately and followed as they said they would do. We ended up having them separated and everything worked out well.

This place is amazing! Every person that I spoke with was so nice and genuinely seemed to love animals. My 10 year old lab mix has a ton of hair and can be hard to handle sometimes, and
Portland Pet Groomers Provider Name Locked
did a fantastic job. He looks like a new dog and seemed to really like being there. We will be back!

Upon bringing my dog in for the appointment, I explained to the groomer that she was a rescue dog, and was easily frightened by new experiences. The groomer hardly spoke to me at all. She had me complete and sign the necessary paperwork, then took my dogs leash and told me she would call me in a few hours when the service was completed. After several hours, my wife had some errands, and stopped into the store to check on the progress. She was told that the dog was too excitable and kept urinating on the floor, so the bath could not be completed. She charged us the full fee, and released the dog to my wife. This dog has received bath and grooms from other individuals. With gentleness and compassion, she tolerates the procedure well. I can only assume that this young lady did not care about doing her job professionally, and thus traumatized my dog. I filed a complaint with
Portland Pet Groomers Provider Name Locked
's Customer Service Department, and received an e-mail stating that my complaint was being forwarded to the local store manager, who would then follow up directly with me. Nearly a month has passed since that complaint, and I have not received any followup from
