"I was charged a "fee" that was not billed to my insurance company because the
representative said it wasn't covered. The "fee"" I was told was for a torics lens (astigmatism lens) which I had implanted. However, as it turned out the fee was several fees grouped into one and not just the torics lens. I asked
to provide me with an evidence of consent for the breakdown of these fees but they could not. As a result I filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office and the are now handling it.

"My right eye had a cataract and I was very nervous about having the procedure. Due to my fear of the surgery I had put it off until I could no longer see out of" that eye; I had stopped wearing my contacts in that eye because I could not tell the difference. I researched the procedure on many many sites, and then researched cataract surgeons on Angies List, google, kudzu, and several medical sites. My ophthalmologist referred me to a large practice (they advertise on the radio) but my research lead me to believe I would not get the attention and individual caring I needed (being I was nervous). Everything I researched about Dr.
and the
Eye Center told me I would get the personal attention and the expertise I needed to have a successful surgery. I made an appointment with Dr.
at the
office, and I have to tell you, my research proved to be correct. I am so glad I decided to go with the
Eye Center to have have my surgery. The technician that did the initial workup and preliminary exams did a fantastic job of explaining everything and putting me at ease. I wish I had made a note of her name because I would mention her in this review because she was excellent. Then when I saw Dr
to examine my eyes ( I saw him that same day and a subsequent time for a pre-op exam) he did a great job of thoroughly checking my eyes and he took the time to explain in as much detail as I wanted about the procedure. I was very happy with my choice and the outcome. I put this procedure off for so long because I was afraid, and there was really no reason to; especially having used the
eye center and Dr
. I waited 2 months to write this review because I wanted to make sure everything worked out and if I had any concerns after the surgery I wanted to see how they dealt with it. It turns out I did not have any complications after the surgery, and I am very happy with the results. I had two follow up visits one the day after the surgery and one a month later to just check on the surgery. I'm very happy with Dr
, the technicians, and the facilities. Dr
is “in-network” for my insurance (United Health Care) but their surgical center is out-of-network, which gave me some concern; but the facility is top notch. They worked up a fee schedule for the facility charges so my out-of-pocket was the same as if the facility was in-network, so there was no extra cost to me for the out-of-network costs. I did have the option to not use their facilities and use Northside Hospitals facility (that would have been in-network), but I didn't see the need. However, after seeing the bills submitted to the insurance company and how much the insurance company paid (compared to the estimate I got using United Health Care website tools for in-network costs), I feel I should have used Northside (our insurance premiums are directly related to the costs the insurance company pays). That is the only negative I can say about the whole thing. I would recommend
Eye Center and Dr
to everyone... and I do.

Quite literally meaning "the science of the eyes." ophthalmology studies the way the eye works. Ophthalmologists care for this incredibly complex and delicate part of the body and the factors that affect its health.

Cataract removal is one of the most common surgeries in the U.S., and technology is creating a wider array of choices to consider.

Blurred or lost vision may be signs of a potential eye ailment, but some rare diseases that can cause blindness can only be detected with an examination.

Absolutely you have rights to your own medical records. You may have to put it in writing and go through the offices records department. Call and ask to speak with the records department and ask their protocol.

Ophthalmology reviews in Manchester

All went very well. I learned that my eyes are healthy and that the difference in my current glasses prescription is miniscule and to get new glasses at this time would be a waste of money. I appreciated the doctors honesty and the experience was as pleasant as such an experience can be.

Over a period of a few months, Dr.

and his crew prepared my wife for surgery by rehydrating her eyes for best surgical results. My wife has had surgery inn both eyes and is extremely satisfied with the outcome!! Now I'm preparing to go through the same process and I wouldn't trust my eye to anyone else but Dr.

Surgery and care was excellent. Good follow-up. Absolutely no problems. The office staff was very supportive. I arrived about ten minutes early for the surgery. They started the pre-op. There was a small delay while they waited for my blood pressure to drop. The surgery went off without a hitch. My vision is now corrected to 20/20. I have not seen this well in 47 years. I had no discomfort at all.

1st one about 2-24-15 was good, only negative is a remaining "lens

We are new to this area, and delayed getting our eyes checked until after our move. when I called, we were given an appointment for the next day. We were treated very courteously at the reception desk, by the folks who checked our vision, by the optometrist, and at the exit desk. Everyone we dealt with was willing to answer our questions (I have a lot of them) forthrightly and expansively. They do not have an internal optical department, so we had the rx's filled at Walmart, and are pleased with our glasses.

Simply put,
Manchester Ophthalmologists Provider Name Locked
Woo is the best ophthalmologist I have ever had. She certainly gave me the most thorough eye exam I have ever experienced. Because she is so good and popular, getting an initial appointment to see her will take a while for a new patient, and the actual appointment wait time will be longer than average since she will spend whatever time she needs with each patient. This is a doctor who truly cares about her patients.
- Michael T.

Great interaction and the doctor was very friendly and described my issues effectively. The appointment time was punctual (one of my pet peeves). I will certainly use him again and encourage other to use his office. That said you need to get past some of the staff that was not quite as amiable.
- Roy B.

Waited 30 min before being called in. Dr was very thorough and discussed everything he found. He is mild mannered and very kind. Technician was chewing gum while doing visual tests for glasses. I find this crude, but it is happening more and more with nurses and receptionists.
