"His staff is incompetent. I saw the doctor for no more than 5 minutes, then waited 1 hour for a packet of information and a phone number to set up surgery. That office refused to speak with me and told me they'd get back to me in a week or two. it's now been 3 1/2 weeks and I haven't heard from them. His new process might be wonderful, but my knee hurts now...."

" I attended the second appointment with Dr
Knoxville Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
for the back conditions that my daughter was diagnosed with. At the first he recommended physical therapy to strengthen her core, which we did for approximately 8 weeks. The physical therapist also said that her hips were weak, which could impact the core movement and back pain, so he worked on that too. Her back improved slightly, but that was the prediction from Dr
Knoxville Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
. When I informed him of what the physical therapist had said and what he was working on, Dr
Knoxville Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
actually laughed audibly at me and said, "Okaaayy?" The student working with him actually got wide eyed and seemed to acknowledge that his behavior was out of line. I was stunned silent and did not know what to say. He proceeded with the appointment and left the room to return after x-rays were taken. When he left the room, my daughter asked me why he laughed at me, to which I responded, "I'm not sure but it certainly was not very respectful." Upon his return, I decided I would bypass the disrespect and get as much information about my daughter's back as possible, knowing that I would not be returning. He gave us big words and details that obviously mean nothing to the average person, and then asked me if I had questions. My response was, "No, not at this time." When he asked my daughter if she had questions, she responded, "Yeah. Why did you laugh at my mom?" He kind of smirked and said, "I didn't laugh at your mom," and discounted what she had asked. I just put my hand on my daughter's knee signaling her to let it go, which she did. We left the appointment knowing that we would not be returning, despite his vast knowledge of orthopedics. This was unfortunately not the only experience like this with Dr
Knoxville Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
, however. My oldest daughter was also under his care for scoliosis years back and he was the same brief, egotistical self at that time. We only returned to him on the recommendation of our primary care physician and the fact that he is knowledgeable. I actually put his 'importance' ahead of my daughter's instinct about him - I will not make that mistake again. He was sure to list off all of the 'well-known' people he had fixed over the years and said he could put us in touch with one of them to ask questions, which we declined. I have no doubt that Dr
Knoxville Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
is a competent and knowledgeable doctor and that his technical skills are probably good, but his 'bedside' manner in this case left very much to be desired. I cannot have faith in a doctor who audibly laughs at a parent and belittles them, especially in front of their daughter. Although I left without any type of anger or incident, I thought I needed to make people aware of what had happened. My daughter's back issues are probably on the 'mild' side (as he put it) of things that he 'normally' deals with, but she is a person whom I love dearly and want the best for despite what he sees in his office. Maybe if your orthopedic issues are extreme or 'less mild' he might seem like a savior, but in this case, all it turned out to be was a high priced consultation which left me feeling stunned. If you are looking for a competent doctor whom will belittle you in front of your child, and one whom will be sure to point out that you are not an orthopedic doctor, he is the one for you. My family, however, will be searching for other competent doctors whom actually respect people.

"Dr.
Knoxville Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
seems extremely knowledgeable and helped identify my ankle and knee issues. I have received a cortisone shot in my knee and Dr.
Knoxville Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
was extremely competent and careful when administering the injection. I am about to complete physical therapy with wonderful results. I would also recommend their physical therapy clinic. He also referred me to
Knoxville Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
at Running Rx for orthopedic inserts. I have had this done in the past, but
Knoxville Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
is extremely skillful and is open to "tweaking" when necessary.
Knoxville Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
can effectively analyze your walk and how much change you can tolerate.

"Dr.
Knoxville Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
does an excellent job of diagnosing painful knees and developing strategies for controlling the pain. He orders a knee brace and crutches, gives you pain medication, and determines what additional treatment is needed by means of x-rays and MRIs.

"Pleasant. Prompt. Provided options. Injection that was expensive. Insurance did not cover. Billing personel was rude and approached me in harrassing manner without taking time to explain to me that the procedure would put me into major medical with the deductible to be met."

"Received knee replacement in 2006 from Dr.
Knoxville Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
. He continues to provide me follow up appointments to determine success of implant and provide opinion on possible hip replacement. Received appointment in reasonable time period and Dr. provided thoughtful and professional advice with good eye contact and explanations, as needed. I'm currently under the care of another doctor for steroid injections for hip, but will only let Dr.
Knoxville Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
do surgery, if and when needed.

"Dr.
Knoxville Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
is very professional. He explained in detail how the surgery should go. He understands that I am an active person, who wants to continue running, cycling and disc golfing after the repair. I did have to wait quite a while from pre-op to the actual surgery. The surgery seemingly went fine. I had little or no post op pain. I walked out of the surgery center. I would have liked a more thorough explanation of exactly what he did during the procedure, but I was still a little groggy when he visited and wasn't totally clear. I assume I will find out more in the follow up visit. The success of the procedure remains to be seen. My follow up visit is next week. I will report more later."

"I would recommend him highly. Another doctor recommended me to go to him because he was one of the two in New Orleans to replace my knee. He was a highly respected sports medicine doctor. He specialized in knees and I was very pleased with his work and that is what I want in a surgeon. I had to wait nearly six months to get an appointment with him because it was just after the hurricane
Knoxville Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
. He was very punctual. The treatment was effective and I am back to riding horses. I didn’t have any problems with the billing.

"Went to see Dr.
Knoxville Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
for sciatic pain and nerve pain in my arm. He took a nice amount of time answering my questions and helping me with my issues. I haven't been back to Dr.
Knoxville Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
for my issues because I no longer have them. I would highly recommend Dr.
Knoxville Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
but, keep in mind he will be a little behind on his appointments due to the time he spends with his patients."
