"He did an fantastic job. Work was done on timely and in a professional manner. While he wasn't the cheapest, he was competitive. What made the difference in" using
was his responsiveness, professionalism, timeliness, and quality of work. We had him do the sauna slab first and then a couple of month later the house foundation. He also came recommended from both our builder and friends (one of whom is also in the construction business). We were very pleased him and his team's work. The foundation was just how we wanted it and he made great suggestions in how to do it. Our lot is a bit odd shaped and is on a environmental designated lake with 150" setback. Getting the house raised enough for a view was important as is was to get the logs off the ground (log home), yet not to much so extra depth for the footings were not needed. Also we needed access windows in the lower level for future bedrooms. He did all of this with great expertise and guidance.

and his crew of Ecuadorians were fantastic. I have never seen such a hard-working crew. These guys could have finished the Panama Canal" in half the time it took.
is a true professional. When the job proved to be significantly more difficult than initially expected and require more concrete
never flinched and he never increased the agreed-upon fee.
also noticed a structural deficiency and brought in a bracing contractor (additional fee) who did a great job in concert with
' efforts. Also, when
determined that the original plan for the footings would not provide enough structural stability he expanded the footers at no additional cost. The finished job looks great. It's a night and day change from my crumbling wall to a smooth finish with the peace of mind of a job well done and structurally sound. I highly recommend

Masonry exteriors

Generally considered the highest quality choice for home exteriors, brick and stone are also almost maintenance free and will last as long as the house, though some repairs may be needed from time to time.

Become familiar with these key masonry conditions and terms before hiring for brick or stone exterior repairs.

As with any contractor, it is best to get multiple bids from different mason contractors to discuss the job and gather references, says Rodvoid. (Photo courtesy of Angie's List member Krista L. of Twinsburg, Ohio)

Selecting the right masonry contractor should involve multiple bids and references from the contractors you interview. One provider shares five helpful steps.

Detergent soaking and low-pressure pressure washing (to avoid etching or swirling the surface) about $0.50-1.00/SF - ditto for the sealing. Minimum charge probably about $150. This is something you can easily do yourself if you are just a bit yard handy - rent a pressure washer (or use this job as excuse to buy one) - 1000-1500 psi one is all you want for this, a gallon of concrete/driveway washing detergent, a large paint brush for the sealer, and as much brick/stone/concrete sealer as you need for your area - could probably do yourself for about $0.50/SF. View a few online videos on how to pressure wash without leaving swirl or etch marks in brick/concrete.

Masonry reviews in Dayton

I'm not longwinded, so I will just say that the team that did the work was highly skilled and did an outstanding job. I give an A on price because while not necessarily cheap, you get what you pay for, and the quality of both the workmanship and the stone provided was very high. The price was thus very reasonable given the product delivered. You only need this done one time, so you might as well have it done right. I can recommend without reservation.

Called to tried to schedule an appointment at 2:20 pm on Sunday. I was told, "It's Sunday, can you call back tomorrow? I'll be out in the field all day." Rude and unprofessional. Lost my business.

They were difficult to get in touch with, as it seemed many people bought the deal. They finally contacted me via email and then I called once or twice to find out when they could come. They did come on the date they said they would. The guys put the bricks back together. It was done okay, a little lopsided, but I know the deal was only for I believe 4 hours of work, so they did not have a lot of time. It is fixed, not falling down and hopefully will last.

was extremely communicative and responsive from start to finish. Very easy to get in touch with by phone, text and email.
The first day he came, he and his assistant patched up the wall and then put 3 coats of stain on the wall. It came out looking bright yellow, which was not what I wanted (I thought it would be a light brown, much more subtle). When
Dayton Masons Provider Name Locked
came back to finish the job I asked him what we could do to correct the color and he said we could paint over it with a gray stain, which was a color I was considering initially anyway.
Dayton Masons Provider Name Locked
then redid the entire wall with 3 coats of a new color and I was really happy with the result. He worked just as hard the second time around as the first and did not upcharge me for the additional work.
He was a pleasure to work with and did a great job working until it was done right.

This provider gave the lowest estimate and was very responsive. The only issue was with the sitting wall repair which was not completed per my expectations at first, but
Dayton Masons Provider Name Locked
quickly made sure the additional work needed was completed per my expectations. I found
Dayton Masons Provider Name Locked
very accommodating to my needs which is an extremely important factor for me.

they were just perfect workers, got the job done, and cleaned up beautifully
and just did a great job.

Dayton Masons Provider Name Locked
, the mason, did a great job. Previous work of someone else (~20 years ago before we owned the house) had created a mesh on the north side, especially the chimney. The mortar was falling out in areas, but some of the mortar was rock hard and there was a coating of something that made the brick look like it was oxidizing.
Dayton Masons Provider Name Locked
chipped/scrubbed all the discoloration off and now it looks beautiful! It was a lot of work, and I am sure some others would have given up, but
Dayton Masons Provider Name Locked
just kept working at it.
Also, we had trouble matching the old mortar, which was probably mixed on site, but
Dayton Masons Provider Name Locked
was patient and we found an excellent compromise.
When you own an almost 100 year old home, finding someone willing to put in the extra effort to match the previous craftsmanship can be tough. We looked around for a while without finding a fit, but
Dayton Masons Provider Name Locked
was convincing from the start. I highly recommend

Dayton Masons Provider Name Locked
is one of the most knowledgable people I've ever met. We're new homeowners, and when we had water seeping into a room from a chimney, we weren't sure who to call.
Dayton Masons Provider Name Locked
was able to address the problem immediately, and he set the job out in stages. I learned a lot about our house through his explanations of how and why the problems we had were happening. And then they did a fantastic job making the repairs. He was very responsive through texts. He charges a fair price for his work. The work is completed with high quality, and he has an interest in making sure his work lasts for a long time. I would definitely recommend giving him a call.
