"We had woodrot on the lower half of our basement door jamb from moisture from rainstorms. We had to purchase some of the materials from the local hardware store" such as the parging cement and drywall piece. It added $8.50 to the job. The service was prompt, courteous and quality work.
brought the door jamb replacement wood and the serviceman had all the tools to cut. It took two non-consecutive days due to the cement dry time and doing both sides of door. A foot of bricks behind the wood were wet and had no mortar so all that had to be restacked, cleaned, cemented and then covered with the new wood jamb piece (about three feet up of wood repair on each side). After the repair, the wood was painted. Rent A Pro parged the bottom of the outside brick wall with a slight slope to prevent water from settling on the wood again. Inside a small section of drywall behind the back door was cut and replaced. We also had them remove the drainpipe to parge brick behind it. Rent A Pro did an excellent job. The owner came by to see the job in progress and called to confirm each charge and explain the charges after the job was complete. We are very pleased to have the repair done so efficiently.

started the work in April, but we unfortunately had to put a hold on things when the basement turned out to need additional water-proofing." We told him up front when that work would be complete and when he'd be able to re-start. Since then (approximately June 3), someone has been out to our house maybe a total of 5 times. He is OK at responding to text messages, but it seems like we've heard excuse after excuse about why our job is not complete (even though, according to him, it's a very
is a nice person, and he might do good work (not that I'd know - nothing is done!), but at this point I feel as though I'm never going to see my $7000 ($5k for the remodel and $2k for the pump unit) again.

Finish carpenters can design, build and install woodwork structures in your house to enhance the quality and adorn the attractive appearance of your home. There carpenters can complete several different jobs for new homes or remodeling of an existing house.

Baseboards and molding

Baseboards and molding serve a practical function -- covering up the space where walls and floors join, as well as protecting the wall from scuffs and dents. But they also provide a decorating opportunity.

You need a general contractor - prefereably one who specializes in additions, because you have excavation, waterproofing, concrete, concrete cutting, carpentry, door and window, etc trades to coordinate.

The cost will depend a great deal on your topography around the house - if the base of the window will be above ground level at least 6 inches, then could run about $500 for a legal egress window purchase and about $1000-2000 for installation, depending on how deep into the concrete you have to cut.

If the bottom of the window will be below ground level, then to call it a bedroom (which mandates legal sized second egress and usauully at least one window)  then you will have two choices - bring it out into a solid watertight concrete storm cellar with collar to keep water out, stairs, and and weather and bug-tight cellar door that is inward-opening, which means a lot of space for stairs and landings top and bottom, or bring it out into an oversized window well at least 36 inches in diameter, and with steps to ground level, with adequate drainage and waterproofing to keep it dry. Either way, sometimes about as easy to put in an outside door as a window, and might raise property value more. Cost from $2-5,000 depending on how deep into concrete wall you have to dig, whether concrete wsall needs reinforcing with steel frame because of the depth of cut, how easy the digging is, and what your water conditions are near the foundation. The last thing you want to do is create an easy water or vermin ingress with your egress.

Dictated by Federal LAW , you will need a Licensed and EPA Certified HVAC Contractor

to make such repairs . In fact , by law , ONLY A licenesed HVAC contractor can buy or install

said eguipment , NOT A handyman nor general contractor !

YES , You should have an A.C. sleeve surrounding the through the wall unit . These sleeves will usually accompany NEW products , either as a package or an add on equipment purchase.

Contact a Licenesed PROFFESSIONAL at once !

It depends on what type of ramp you need. If it is built out of wood you could look for a carpenter or a deck company. If you are looking for a concrete ramp a mason would be what you are looking for. There are also metal ramps and I believe some medical supply companies may carry them or be able to steer you in the right direction. As for insurance coverage I am not sure. You may have coverage and would be best talking to your agent. Depending on why you need this ramp there may even be programs through your local government or even some of the local charities might help. It might be a project a local Scout Troop might help out on.

Woodworking reviews in Counce

Great! The 3 installers were very professional and the entire job was completed in 6 hours. The results are fantastic! Would hire them again.

- elisa P.

The provider arrived promptly at the time agreed upon and completed the service the same day. We were very pleased with all aspects of the experience.
- Cynthia P.

The guy who came to do the baseboard and trim did not have the tools to do the job and when he finished it was done very poorly. The worker was fired and the other man who came to do the work fixed some of it but there was a piece still missing. The terrace worked looked fine at first but now it is falling apart and looks awful.

was great! I sent him a photos of the closet and of the doors I wanted installed. He gave us the estimate for his work and told us how to order the doors. Although
Counce Carpenters Provider Name Locked
did offer to pick up the doors himself, we were able to fit them in our station wagon, so we bought them at Lowe's, ourselves.

arrived on time and completed the work as promised. He installed track for top and bottom of sliding doors and had to adjust tile and molding to do so. He patched a spot on our wall, too. The doors look great, and just as the other reviewers mentioned,

really is a super nice guy! This was a small job, but even so,

treated us like it was very important to him. I appreciated his attitude, as well as his skill set! His work was excellent, and soon we hope to use him to remodel our kitchen! Thanks,

We narrowed our

to 3 perspective companies.

and company were the only ones who both returned our queries promptly and had the throughput capacity to accommodate us in a timely manner. We went with Habitat for the design and Stratagem for the construction and have no regrets.
The designers were both helpful and patient, which was very appreciated since we had never done any kind of a house project. We felt confident it would go smoothly once we moved on to the construction phase which was seamless due to the pairing of Habitat and Stratagem. Once the work started it proceeded until completed. The workers were clean and respectful and
Counce Carpenters Provider Name Locked
checked in nearly every day to be sure we were happy with the progress. We change course a few times and our wishes were readily accommodated. They came in right on target with the estimate and any deviations from the estimate were due to changes we requested.
We couldn't be happier with out new bathroom and will be using Habitat and Stratagem for the design and remodeling of other bathroom.

I do want to say we are very happy with

's work. The winter of 2015 proved problematic, but after rescheduling due to weather-related and the Easter holiday issues, it was nice to have the job done...and it was a nice job too!
Originally, we had scheduling delays to start the job due to snow. We began with a day of labor, but for various honest reasons we required a second day to complete. Then due to snow and a mistake scheduling workers over Easter, that pushed out that second day a couple weeks.
Our Preparation
We purchased and provided two coats of paint to a pair of crown molding pieces that would overlap and run on three walls, about twenty feet up in our family room. I also obtained and set up the scaffolding, which I used to clean windows and get measurements.
Specifics - We contracted with
Counce Carpenters Provider Name Locked
1. Install crown molding, caulk, patch nail holes and provide final paint
2. Install drapery holders about 17 feet up. Mind you, our idea was to secure finial balls into the wall (not a typical set up), where ties on each curtain would be tied and hang. Some creative thinking went into that. And, we got it all just right thanks to using a videophone to my wife at work. So, the workers were patient with us while they continued to work and collaboratively we came up with a solution to secure those draperies according to my wife's vision.
3. To paint an accent wall
Note: I want to be clear, you have to be patient and have some flexibility with this company and with life. Coordination is not their strength. To be fair, we had a lot of snow and they're coming from out west (where most of the snow fell). However, I'm hiring craftsmen not meeting planners. So, by giving them some leeway in that area, they did a great job at a great price. I think they enjoyed being in our home, as much as we enjoyed having them...once they got here. (Ha!). Yes, I and my wife would hire them again.
- Gregory S.

Phenomenal. The work was perfect and the communication pristine. Never have we had a provider with such excellent communication. Always keeping us informed and listening deeply and responding well to all our concerns. I can't recommend
Counce Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and Vertex highly enough.
- Thomas G.

For some odd reason, they did not cut-in parts of the ceiling in one bedroom, but after calling the owner, they came back out the next day and finished the job.
The price was very reasonable so the minor hiccup was something I could accept.
I would use them again for future paint jobs (especially if they have more coupons).
