"Because of too much weight in the closet, clothes rack pulled about 6 feet of sheet rock from wall.
repaired the sheetrock, mudded and fixed" it so it looks new. I had him forgo sand and painting because another portion of the closet still had clothes hanging up. Being a closet with clothes this was a nonissue. He installed about six feet of horizontal 2 x 4 to existing structure. He then mounted an additional 2 brackets (3 total) to ensure stability. All done professionally. His price was extremely modest and reasonable for the service performed. He works in the northwest Florida area. I was so impressed with his work and cost I have lined up two more projects for him to do as he has time to fit them in. I highly recommend this personable and professional handyman.

"First let me say that the guy that gave him a F rating is either a competitor or just a miserable bitter person. Does it really matter that he is German? How can" you trust a review when they have to bring nationality into it. This is about the quality and professionalism of the man and his work. Have you seen the quality of German Craftsmanship? Mercedes Benz, BMW, Porsche. Shall I go on. And to say his English is not good is a complete and utter lie! His English is far superior to 90% of the workmen in the Miami area. There was ABSOLUTELY no communication problems at all. Let me start by saying that I got a price from a local Kitchen located in Pinecrest on US1. They quoted a new kitchen for about double the price. I made an appointment with Rasin for a Saturday at a given time. I don't recall the time but he was there. In fact, he was there for every appointment scheduled over the next 3 or so months. That in itself is worth noting because he came from Ft.
and my location is in Pinecrest. NOT having to dealing with the mentality of Miami workers/companies was well worth my investment with Rasin. He is by far the most professional of all the workmen/companies that we have used for the last 6 months "rebuilding" the house. He made a proposal, sent drawings and set a date to come discuss the installation and process. Because this was my first or second company from Angie's List and this was a big job, investment and commitment I wanted to visit his shop. We agreed on a date and time and i drove to Ft.
. He greeted us very professionally and showed us around the shop and what he was building. He even dropped everything he was doing and locked up the shop to take us to a wood supplier to show us different possibilities. When it came time for installation he was there with the cabinets as we expected. He installed them and made the appropriate adjustments to accommodate the
top, hood, oven etc. We decided to add some additional drawers which he built and delivered and installed the following week. Everyone that has seen the new kitchen has expressed only good comments and trust me, I have friends that don't hold back on giving their opinion asked for or not! In fact I think we provided his name and number to a couple people in our community. We had a new stair railing installed and the company that did the installation did not complete the job. SHAME on us for not reading the contract more closely. Rasin looked at the incomplete work and said he could do the finishing work. We agreed to give him the job and he came through with flying colors. I would most definitely hire Wood & Design German Quality and Carpentry. I hope I don't need to but if I have carpentry work to be done he will be my first call. Hopefully he will still be willing to drive to Pinecrest from Ft.
. Give him a
. He is polite, professional and a gentleman to work with.

Baseboards and molding

Baseboards and molding serve a practical function -- covering up the space where walls and floors join, as well as protecting the wall from scuffs and dents. But they also provide a decorating opportunity.

Angie's Answers

You need a general contractor - prefereably one who specializes in additions, because you have excavation, waterproofing, concrete, concrete cutting, carpentry, door and window, etc trades to coordinate.

The cost will depend a great deal on your topography around the house - if the base of the window will be above ground level at least 6 inches, then could run about $500 for a legal egress window purchase and about $1000-2000 for installation, depending on how deep into the concrete you have to cut.

If the bottom of the window will be below ground level, then to call it a bedroom (which mandates legal sized second egress and usauully at least one window)  then you will have two choices - bring it out into a solid watertight concrete storm cellar with collar to keep water out, stairs, and and weather and bug-tight cellar door that is inward-opening, which means a lot of space for stairs and landings top and bottom, or bring it out into an oversized window well at least 36 inches in diameter, and with steps to ground level, with adequate drainage and waterproofing to keep it dry. Either way, sometimes about as easy to put in an outside door as a window, and might raise property value more. Cost from $2-5,000 depending on how deep into concrete wall you have to dig, whether concrete wsall needs reinforcing with steel frame because of the depth of cut, how easy the digging is, and what your water conditions are near the foundation. The last thing you want to do is create an easy water or vermin ingress with your egress.

Dictated by Federal LAW , you will need a Licensed and EPA Certified HVAC Contractor

to make such repairs . In fact , by law , ONLY A licenesed HVAC contractor can buy or install

said eguipment , NOT A handyman nor general contractor !

YES , You should have an A.C. sleeve surrounding the through the wall unit . These sleeves will usually accompany NEW products , either as a package or an add on equipment purchase.

Contact a Licenesed PROFFESSIONAL at once !

It depends on what type of ramp you need. If it is built out of wood you could look for a carpenter or a deck company. If you are looking for a concrete ramp a mason would be what you are looking for. There are also metal ramps and I believe some medical supply companies may carry them or be able to steer you in the right direction. As for insurance coverage I am not sure. You may have coverage and would be best talking to your agent. Depending on why you need this ramp there may even be programs through your local government or even some of the local charities might help. It might be a project a local Scout Troop might help out on.

The damage happened the day I burried my Wife. When I came home my Son-in-law went up in the attic and somehow stopped the water from running. I went to bed and cried for a week. I called my insurance company, they understood my plight and had an adjuster here in 2 days. I had a check in 3 more days
n, but with any home repair, there can be
Counce Carpenters Provider Name Locked
problems that could lengthen the job, but, it would not increase his price. I, ..
Counce Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was recommended by a family friend so I called them. Mr.
Counce Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was at my door right on time the next day. I explained what had happened, the loss of my Wife, the fact that I have a yellow lab, just 18 months old, my state of mind, everything. He examined the damage, asked me when did I want the job started, I said, ASAP, he told me he was sorry for my loss, and said he would call me
Counce Carpenters Provider Name Locked
.er that day. He also encouraged me to call at least 2 other companies, so I would be able to feel comfortable with whom ever I picked. That impressed me quite a bit. Mr.
Counce Carpenters Provider Name Locked
called about 6 hours later with his quote. He gave me his total price, and asked for an appt. to go over the quote. We arranged to meet the following day. In the mean time, I tried in vain to get another builder/contractor to my home to quote the job. The answers ranged from, I'm 2 months out, to, how much did you get from your insurance company, and everything else you can imagine. The next day Mr.
Counce Carpenters Provider Name Locked
showed up right on time. We went through the quote line by line and He answered all my questions without hesitation. He asked me when I thought I would pick a contracor as he was leaving and I told him I already had, I shook his hand and told him he was my pick. He was very gracious, came back in and wrote down when I wanted work to start and end. He explained that the start date was no problem, and the finish date was within reason, but, in any home repair project, there may be
Counce Carpenters Provider Name Locked
problems that could delay completion, but would not change his price, again, I was impressed. The following Monday my house was full of very professional men and women and they did everything. Took down pictures, moved furniture, covered everything, and then ripped out the drywall, wet carpet, etc. They set up huge fans to dry inside the walls and left. The next day Mr.
Counce Carpenters Provider Name Locked
returned, examined the work and the site, asked me if I was o.k. He told me he wanted the fans to run another day, I said fine and he left. The following day the
Counce Carpenters Provider Name Locked
returned and they worked until well after 6 pm. The job was done in 10 days, including hanging the pictures and placing the furniture where I wanted it. This is the most professional contractor I have ever dealt with, and my Wife and I had built 5 homes during our 45 years together. The end !

Counce Carpenters Provider Name Locked
continues to be my contractor of choice. The have always remained true to their written price and schedule estimates and provide unparalleled quality and craftsmanship. For example, I am still impressed with the quality of the interior window trim that was free handed with a small router that even nature couldn’t make any smoother or tighter.
Counce Carpenters Provider Name Locked
leaves the house at days end clean and unobstructed and removes all evidence of any construction when the job is complete.
Counce Carpenters Provider Name Locked
is sensitive to working around my dogs and operates equipment only after ensuring their safety.
Counce Carpenters Provider Name Locked
has an eye for color and design and isn’t bashful about sharing his opinion regarding color and wood choices.

In summary, after 21 years, every job

performed for me or my referrals was completed to my satisfaction, on time and at the agreed upon price. Absolutely went well!
- David B.

It came out great and looks really good. Every time I have contacted him he has responded right away. He is very busy so I am still waiting to have a few other things done which is fine with me at this time. I am in no hurry to have the work done. The price seemed reasonable.
