I have a 94-year-old row home that had sustained water damage in the front room due to a leaky roof. The plaster had bubbled and was flaking off. I scraped and sanded and pulled the radiator for better access, but plastering is a bit beyond my skill set. So I called
Chattanooga Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
based on his reviews here on Angie's List.
I called on a Tuesday and explained to him that I was going back to school in 2 weeks and I was hoping to get it done beforehand. He was booked, but made arrangements to squeeze me in the following Friday. He came out to give me a quote, called on Thursday to make sure the time still worked for me and was at my door Friday morning right on time. He laid down a bunch of tarps to keep my carpet and furniture clean and got right to work.
The job took him 6 hours and it looks beautiful. On a side note, he was the nicest man! Very personable and chatty, but definitely NOT at the expense of his work. He was extremely professional and, I felt, very reasonably priced for the quality of work. I will be hiring him again for any future plaster work.

did an excellent job. He gave us a reasonable bid and did the first part of the work within a week. Had to let area dry and do work in a different area of the house and he returned a week later to finish. He was prompt, worked hard and covered all the cracks and holes that needed covering neatly and cleanly. He cleaned up when he left. Would definitely call him first if we had any similar work to be done.

The original quote for sandblasting and stucco was $3700. Upon further inspection, and after retrofitting had been performed by another company, the owner informed me that it would cost an additional $1100 to patch the base of the house in certain spots. Before sandblasting, it was noted that a small archway was falling apart and would need to be replaced. After quoting $3500 to reconstruct the arch and coming down to $2800 - which I was later told was worth no more than $1500 - the house was stuccoed. While the stucco was being prepared, I was asked to inspect it to see if I liked it. Since the house is small, and the "swirls" were large - almost like frosting on a cake - I said I preferred just the regular stucco with no swirls. I immediately received a call from the office informing me that this would cost more in labor and supplies. I went down to speak to the laborers and the foreman, and told them to give me a plain, ordinary stucco job and that I was not willing to pay any more than I had agreed. They finished the work in a very timely manner, although they did trash almost all of my landscaping with the sandblasting. I had been informed to remove my plants - but obviously that was something that I could not do, so I hoped for the best - and lost. They will have to be replaced. The foreman,

, was more than efficient, professional, friendly and helpful land all the workers did a great job. After the stucco was complete, four painters showed up. I watched through the window and noticed them lying in the driveway eating and resting, and when they left, there was a lot of litter left. I also noticed a great deal of stucco lying in my plants that had not been cleaned up. A light fixture had been tossed into the bushes and we had to have a hunt to find it. The house numbers were not replaced and upon closer inspection we noticed that stucco had not been scraped off utility boxes or railings, and that only one coat of paint had been applied. I informed the office, and they promptly sent out two painters who finished the job properly and to my satisfaction. I don't think anyone can have a perfect experience when a house is sandblasted because there is so much dust and mess - and I think
Chattanooga Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
did the very best they could to please me and be professional. They responded promptly to every single email or phone call, and I have no complaints EXCEPT for the exhorbitant price of $2800 for the arch and $1500 extra just for painting the exterior of windows. I could have had the entire house painted for that much! All in all I will give
Chattanooga Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
a grade of A-.

I'll give him a pass on the scheduling and canceling problems we had because he's an overwhelmed small business owner. But the quality is just not there; every single ceiling patch can be seen, even now that it's been painted. Our painter even pointed out the bad work. There are still gaping holes visible around almost every switch plate on the walls; where one plate was still on the wall he didn't remove it before he plastered - he just plastered it to the wall. I'll repeat: he plastered it to the wall. So, if we change the plate (or paint?) we have to break the plaster and start over again. There are uneven spots around the switch plates where he should have sanded, but obviously didn't.
But probably the most distressing thing was his lack of respect for our wooden floors, which had gobs of plaster and adhesive all over them once he was done. Our electricians had done an amazing job of keeping the floors scratch less, but after he was finished there were small pea-to-gravel sized blobs of adhesive and plaster that I had to pick off by hand before they were ground into the floor. I literally spent hours doing this, on my hands and knees, trying to find all the plaster before the movers ground them into the floor. I caught some, not all, and now we have gouges in our floor. There were also some massive scratches in rooms that he worked in that I don't recall being there before. There's also adhesive drips on the walls.
I mean, I could go on, but it just starts to feel unnecessary. He thought it would take a day; it took two (problems with product, had a few calls he had to take) and I think he really believes he gave us a good deal. But I have ceilings that have obvious patches in them and holes around my switch plates. I think $350 was too darn much for me to have to basically redo it. I wouldn't hire again, and wouldn't recommend.

This company have worked on my home on two separate occasions. Drywall work is messy, and they left my house in excellent
shape with little for me to clean up. I was so impressed with the price, the quality of the work, and how clean they left everything.
The second time I hired them, they finished the work fast, and it looked perfect and they even did a few extra touch-up's for me. I am so happy I hired them, and I will continue to do so in the future.

Chattanooga Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
was the only company of six called that responded with a professional, detailed quote. Several of the other five companies were highly rated within Angie's List, did not bother to visit the site, simply quoting the resurfacing.
Chattanooga Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
altered the quote several times per my requests to customize the quote. They did not try to "up-sell", and proved a range of options and prices (thanks
Chattanooga Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
!). They were able to start within the contracted start date, and a full team finished the job on time, even during the brutal summer heat. The quality of the work, both the color-flecked quartz surface and tile work, was very good. They made sure the start-up went well, even in my absence.
Without

, I doubt this job would have gone so well, we're very please with the result and the price was a bargain given the size and condition of this pool. My last contractor had walked off the job because of the spa wall re-build -

Best impression was created during the quote process. came out on a saturday and promised to send quote by the next day. Guess what? the quote was in my email ready to be considered! Had multiple reschedules due to other projects that were ongoing at our place but
Chattanooga Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very responsive via email. Clarified the work and changed the scope at my request.
Arrived on time on the start day and did a meticulous job setting up floor covers and working to ensure minimal dust or debris. Work was done to my satisfaction - used a helper who was also polite.
Job well done - highly recommended!!

Mr.

worked with us on scheduling and actually was able to come sooner than he originally anticipated. He made certain everything was either removed or covered in the areas being plastered. Finished the work the same day and left the two rooms very clean. We would definitely use him again. We are very pleased with the repairs.

, the son of

came out to provide the estimate. The two technicians arrived the next day, bright an early to begin work. They were real pros. They worked very quickly to repair the ceiling area in the office and in the garage. It's nice to have the area closed up again after waiting for mold inspections and estimates.
