I'm a fairly tough critic and have a hard time accepting anything less than an ideal outcome, but what was delivered is what was promised and my wife and I both are supremely impressed with the technology, the service, the responsiveness of the company and the overall level of comfort and satisfaction that they left us with.
I would recommend them to family and friends every day of the week, and they're more than deserving of the 'A' rating that I've given them.

Salesman,
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
, was prompt and thorough. I raised a number of questions and he answered them thoroughly and quickly.
The installer,
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
, arrived promptly. He obviously had a good grasp of what needed to be done to update our system and add the new features. He thoroughly cleaned the work area before leaving and provided detailed instructions on how to use the system.

Installing it myself was not hard, but it was also not as easy as I would have liked. The instructions were mostly helpful, but there were details - such as lining arrows up together, activating the chimes, etc - that were not as visible as one would like. Rather than being a "10 minute" project it was a 30 minute one (so not bad). I then called the company and got everything activated and was walked through how to use the system. The phone support was great.
One sensor was faulty so they walked me through fixing it, and my panel needed to be replaced due to a bug (literally). All of the replacement equipment was sent quickly, and the set up of the new pieces was easy. Annoying to have to get new parts, but easy. And, again, very knowledgeable staff on the phone.
My biggest frustration is that customer service is not available on the weekends. Security support is, but not customer service.
The online and App is great. Seems worth the extra money to have the ability to arm the system remotely. Thus far all the alerts and the rest have worked as advertised. Monthly fee is $42 for 36 months (step up from basic level), beyond the equipment package.

This service was purchased through a Big Deal on a weekend. The next day, the company called me to schedule the installation. They were able to schedule it the very next day. The next day, they called me an hour in advance to let me know they would be there at 2pm, our scheduled appointment time. They were on time and very polite. Installation did not take very long and they were very through on teaching me how to use the new system. I was very impressed with their professionalism and overall experience with the transaction.

System installation and implementation was painless and is easy to use. Technician showed up on time and performed installation quickly and talked me through system use until clear I understood how to work it. Also, it works! My son entered home a few days after services initiated while we were away and was challenged immediately over the intercom. I then received a call from the dispatcher. I am very pleased with the system/services provided.

I acted on an option offered to me at the time of installing my alarm service. I called Alert and they walked me through the feature to set up text notifications and it's been great - a relief to know who is coming and going from the home at all times. This adds even more to the safe feeling of having the alarm system which was installed by Alert 3 years ago -it has been amazing and given us peace of mind. Now I can see the alarm opening and closing functions on my cell phone and it is as easy to use as always, just as I was told it would be. Totally worth the $$!

I was scheduled to meet the sales consultant on Friday afternoon at three pm but he called me Thursday night to say he was double booked. That was nice of him to call me the day before. I went ahead and altered my plans. We rescheduled his visit for Saturday morning at 9:00 am but he showed up at 9:30 am. I had called the toll-free at about 9:25 am to make sure I was not mistaken but they had no record of a reschedule. I am glad he did show up at 9:30 but he did not offer an apology. He was courteous and took off his shoes when he came in. He appeared unprepared though, no equipment display like the reps from other companies and did not provide much of an explanation of the service offerings. To his credit he did not try to up-sell us and explained that we should only need a basic package. After thinking about it over the weekend, we decided to ask him for a more comprehensive set of sensors and the cost associated; and followed up with a few more questions. I emailed him Monday morning those questions. I had not received any acknowledgement or response to my email throughout the day so at about 4:30 pm that afternoon, I decided to call him. He answered his phone and said he just arrived at the office and saw my email. I asked him to respond to it so my wife and I could make an informed decision. He said he would look at the email and get back to us. It is now Tuesday afternoon at about 2:30 pm and no response. I should have requested a date and time from him to respond. My experience with sales reps is that they are eager and go over board to follow-up. I am inclined to drop
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
as an option. How will I be treated once I am a customer if there is little interest in trying to get me to be a customer?

I have been a very satisfied
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
customer since 1999, when they installed the original security system on my new home.
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
met with me and my family and was a pleasure to work with. Have had several contacts with them since then and have always been impressed with their professionalism, promptness and courtesy. My recent contact was due to a keypad prompt that there was a "communication failure" on my system. Called
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
and problem was resolved over the phone in just a few minutes. A year ago, I contacted
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
as I was replacing all windows/sliding glass patio door in my home. They worked to coordinate with my contractor.
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
had to come and "disconnect" my system before the old windows were removed; they then came back to "reconnect" the system when new windows were installed. That service is the $395 charge referenced above. On another occasion, I had a plumber working in my home to solder a leaking pipe....he was concerned that the heat from the soldering would set off smoke alarm/security alarm. I promptly called
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
....they disconnected my alarm while the plumber was working.....called them back when plumber was finished and they connected my system again. This was all done very quickly and efficiently over the phone.....no wait involved; and there was no charge for this service. In short, I am very pleased with
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
and the service they provide; I have recommended them to neighbors and friends. Such prompt and personal service is rare today, which is why I highly recommend
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked

I purchased an alarm systen and entered into a 3 year contract with
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
for my retirement property located in
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
, TN in January 2013. This property is located approx. 517 miles from my primamry residence in Missouri. In January 2013 I began receiving "system error" alarms which the
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
sercice desk could not correct over the phone so they scheduled an
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
technician to come to my TN property in February 2014. The technician noted the emergency light/siren components of my alarm system were not wired AC with DC back-up as required and was powered solely by battery and the battery was dead. The tech ordered a replacement battery which took two days to arrive and for which I had to schedule another maintenance appointment. The tech told me the battery would only last a year and I would have to schedule it to be replaced every year in January. I told him this was unacceptable as I requested and was paying for an AC powered system with battery back-up because my property was located in a remote area off the main road and the only way the police would be able to find it was by locating the light/siren. The tech told me to contact
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
which I did through my on-line "My
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
" account. I filed an official compliant with
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
concerning this issue in March 2014 via their on-line customer service. To date I have never received a response to this written complaint. I was visiting my property again in May 2014 (I usually only visit the property two or three times a year, but this year I made additional trips because we were moving some valuable items in the building located there - which is why we have it alarmed). In May 2014 I notied another "system error" message and called the
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
service desk. They scheduled another tehcnician to come to my property June 5, 2014 to repair the malfunctioning light/siren. The technician could not fix the light/siren so he told me he was going to order a new light/siren and this one would be AC powered with battery back-up as required. He also indciated that
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
sometimes subcontracted projects and apparently a subcontractor installed my original light/siren as the equipment was "non-standard". The
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
service desk contcated me on June 9, 2014 and attempted to schedule the equipment replacement appointment for June 16th. I told them I could not be there that day as I had to drive 517 miles one way from my MO residence. I asked if the appointment could be scheduled for the afternoon of
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
3, 2014 as we intended to be in TN for the 4th of
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
weekend. The service desk rep said this would be fine and scheduled me for 12 - 5 PM,
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
3, 2014. I received a "reminder email" from
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
on
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
2, 2014 reminding me of my
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
3rd, 12 - 5 PM appointment. I worked
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
2nd and then got up at 1 AM
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
3rd in order to drive to my TN property to meet the
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
technician between 12 - 5 PM. I arrived at approx. 1045 AM
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
3rd and received a voice mail from
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
at approx.1145 informing me my 12 - 5 PM appointment was canceled because the parts to my system did not come in and were not projected to be available until
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
9, 2014 and that my appointment would have to be rescheduled!!! I was of course furious and immediately attempted to call the
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
service desk at the 1-800 number they left and I was put on hold "due to an unsually high volume of calls" for approx. 45 minutes until the battery on my cell phone died. To add insult to injury I received another voice mail from the
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
service desk at approx. 830 AM
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
5, 2014 infroming me that the parts to my alarm system "miraculously" (my word) came in and to please give them a call at their 1-800 number and the technician would come out that day to install the part. I attempted to call the
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
1-800 number provided 3 times that morning and each time I was placed on hold yet again "due to an unusually high volume of calls" for anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes each time. I was only able to speak to a human being once and after I explained the situation she was going to transfer me to "the correct department" and when she did of course the connection was cut! I mentioned my property is located in a remote area and the cell phone service is spotty at best and the phone signal is very weak, plus there are no telephone or internet lines/service to this property. I returned to my MO residence on
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
6th and immediately filed another written compliant to
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
through the "My
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
" on-line system and in this compliant I asked for a "senior manager to contact me immediately concerning this issue". On
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
8, 2014 the
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
service desk called me in an attempt to schedule another appointment to have my equipment repaired. I told the service desk representative I could not schedule an appointment now because the property was located 517 miles from my residence and that I filed an official complaint with
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
over this issue and was waiting to be contacted by a senior manager. The service desk rep stated she would
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
oforward my complaint to her manager. On
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
11, 2014 I received an email from a
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
Gard,
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
Corporate Customer Service Rep and he provided a phone number to contact him. I immediately called him on
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
11th at the number provided and was sent straight to his voice mail. I left him a voice mail and asked him to contact me at either my home phone or cell phone and provided those numbers. I also sent him a written complaint via email outlining the issue. I recieved no reply from him and on
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
16th I emailed him again. He apologized for not contacting me because he "suddenly fell ill and was not at work." He promised to have a senior manager contact me within 24 hours and to date (
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
30, 2014) no one from
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
has contacted me concerning this issue. NOTE: The
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
technician in TN who originally cancelled the
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
3rd appointment (I believe fraudently so he could go on 4th of
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
holiday early) has called me directly several times at my home to reschedule the appointment he cancelled, but I refuse to take his calls and will only speak to someone in authority at
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
. The bottom-line is my alarm system system, which I paid $1400 for and am making $45.42 monthly payments is defective and customer service at
Yankton Home Security Companies Provider Name Locked
is "non-existent"!!
