Plumbing Reviews in Rock Hill

Called on Saturday afternoon around 3 pm, they put me in contact with he technician. he showed up promptly and offer me a solution for the problem. They were very responsive and did the job right by eliminating all the roots in the sewage line.

Fantastic is the best way to describe it. I requested service via their website later in the evening (probably around midnight this morning) and had a call at 7:00 AM to setup a 10:00 AM visit. I got a call at around 8:30 from an individual at around 8:30 who said they were in the area, and if I could get to the house, they could stop by early if I would like.
They arrived on time and were extremely well mannered. They helped me find the issue and had solved it in literally 10 minutes. After that, they were more than helpful wanting to deal with any issues I was still having such as a non-related outdoor spigot issue.
Fantastic service. Definitely will re-use

Plumbing reviews in Rock Hill

It went very well. They were punctual, quiet, patient and considerate. One leaky valve was hard to fix and continued to have a tiny leak.

returned to the house without charge to replace the valve with one of a different design which has solved the issue.

Showed up precisely when he said he would. Found where sink was leaking and repaired. Since this job took only a short time to complete, the service charge was reduced at the plumber"s suggestion. I found service and professionalism to be excellent.

Called in the late morning and they were able to be there by late afternoon on a Sunday. It took less than an hour to diagnose, set up, and do the job. Friendly and capable service.

Last year my well pump stopped working, I called
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
Plumbing and they came out a couple days later at 9 a.m. on 9/25/2012 and told me the well pump needed to be replaced. After a very long day where the plumber stomped around repeatedly unable get the new pump to work, submerging the pump, pulling it up, re-submerging the pump, shocking himself with electrical wires, running to the store for parts on 2 separate occasions, stomping some more, and repeating this process several more times, the gentleman thought he finally had the pump working 11 hours later that evening. At the time it seemed very clear to me that the man did not know what he was doing but unfortunately as they say "I was already dirty" so I let him finish. Afterwards I learned that a knowledgeable plumber usually does the job in about 2 hours. I did not give them a bad review at that time because although I was leery about the quality of the work done, we all have bad days and the pump seemed to be working.

I now jump forward to late on September 21, 2013 when my lights flicker briefly and shortly after I go to turn on water and nothing comes out. Now it is early Sunday morning. I call
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
and speak to
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
explaining about what happened and that my pump is still under warranty for 4 more days.
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
asks me if I had lightening that evening. I replied no, it rained but no lightening.
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
tells me that I need an electrician to come out and that he would not come out until an electrician looks at it because "well pumps don't go bad after only a year." I tell
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
that I
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
’t think it is electrical because (1) there was no lightening (2) because the water pressure had been fluctuating for the past couple of days, and (3) there was no evidence to needlessly pay an electrician on top of paying for a plumber, since if the pump went out it could have caused the flickering lights.
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
says, “ With a well pump the water pressure always fluctuates, and that doesn't mean anything is wrong with the pump, and if it’s not electrical I’ll definitely pay for the electrician charges.”
So, the next day an electrician comes out and finds that the electric is fine and it must be the pump. However, he does find
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
attached the pump to an un-grounded wire, and although it did not cause any damage it was not very good practice, and a good plumber would never have done that without notifying the homeowner. Supposedly that ground wire should go back to the circuit breaker, which enables the breaker to flip off if there was a surge/problem (and not having this may be the reason for the flickering lights). The electrician speaks to
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
on the phone to discuss this, and
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
once again tries to push this lightening issue. The electrician (while I’m standing next to him) states that he did not think it was lightening, and that the pump is getting electric so it’s not an electrical issue. The electrician tells me that it seems pretty clear that it’s a pump failure and that he thinks they should honor it. After the electrician leaves I call
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
, and
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
once again talks about lightening and how my homeowners insurance would cover it. I again tell
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
that there was NO lightening.
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
then decides that it was the pressure/bladder tank that must have gone bad which caused the pump to fail and that “I should have known when the water pressure was fluctuating (the same pressure he said was "normal" the night before) and that I should have called someone, and he was not going to honor the warranty.” Never did he come out to see if the pressure tank was functioning or if “lighting” had damaged the pump and in fact refused to do so. He just told me he was not going to honor the warranty, and actually laughed about it. I told
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
that I was surely going to write about this on Angie’s List, and
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
laughed and said, “Go ahead! It won’t make a difference in my rating. I
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
’t really care.”
As a side note, I have since learned that plumbers will not back another plumber’s manufacturer’s warranties. So I have a $1200 well pump that lasted me less 1 year and a plumber who will not even BOTHER to come out to see if it is the pump that failed. So, as I write this
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
I was however referred to a plumber by the electrician (who was wonderful and took a great deal of his time to explain what he thought was going on, on top of referring me to a reputable plumber). This plumber also took his own unpaid time on the phone with me tonight to explain things, and he referred me to a reputable gentlemen who just does well service. This well service owner explained to me over the phone that even if the pressure tank was bad, it should not destroy a less than 1-year-old pump, but rather it may burn out a wire on the well pump which could be replaced. I am hoping that this is the case. He also was amazed that
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
would say that it was the pressure tank without even coming out to look at it and not stand by their own work (as the electrician and the plumber had said previously) I plan to write future reviews about these very kind people who took their unpaid time to explain how well pumps work and what the STANDARD OF PRACTICE is in this case which
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
did not honor.
So as it stands now, I will have to pay for another plumber to come out, but I plan to call the manufacturer, the Better Business Bureau and anybody else I can think of, and tell everyone and their brother about what has occurred with
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
. I may have to eat that $1200, plus the $175 for the electrician to come out (because
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
“shockingly” would not pay it) but it will be my mission to make sure this does not happen to any other homeowner. So a warning to those reading,
Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
DOES NOT STAND BY THEIR WORK nor will they even “BOTHER” to come back out to check on their work once they have your money. I have also learned that they charged me about $400 over standard price for the original pump and also that a good plumber would have at LEAST checked the bladder/pressure tank when putting in a new well pump, which this plumber did not do.
So I hope this at least helps to prevent someone else from having to go through this nonsense.

Rock Hill Plumbers Provider Name Locked
responded within 30 minutes and coordinated with the mitigation crew to solve the problem quickly. Plumber removed a toilet and brought in a very large power snake that found the clog in the drain line well outside the house and cleared the blockage. He hung around while the clean up crew removed the excess water and restored the bathroom back to a point he could reset the toilet..

To be on a weekend and respond so fast and perform the repair efficiently - these guys made a very bad situation much better. I was pleasantly surprised that the fee they charged for a Saturday call was very reasonable.

The job went well. I've always liked their promptness and their work. They always ask for feedback to make sure everything is done just right. They come out twice a year to check things out. Everything has been great. They might be expensive but they offer a guarantee. I get what I pay for with them. Their quality is great. They do great work and I’ve never had a problem with it. They are always professional. I will continue to use them.
