is a little steep and seems to go up just a little bit quite often. The only problem we have been having lately is all of our HD channels are giving us problems. They will work well for a while and then will flicker on and off and the sound will disappear. We often have to change over to the non HD channels. Since we are paying extra for HD this is quite annoying. We have spoken with
on the phone and thought we had the problem fixed , but then it kept reoccuring. Last week we had a service person come to the house. She could not find any problems, but put in a new wire anyway. However the problem has not been resolved. If we can't get the problem solved, we may have to just cancel our HD channels, so that we at least we are not paying for something that we can't watch.

More consumers are cutting the cord for cable TV services and switching to streaming movies and TV shows from the Internet and content services like Netflix and Hulu. One group estimates that as many as 3.56 million Americans will make the switch in 2012 alone.

The wait time can sometimes be long. Also my calls dropped in process. But the ultimate goal was resolved and now my land phone works and my cell phone calls in the house are not dropping off. She was patient with my lack of confidence in trying to fix the problem myself. She was able to identify the problem, for me a big deal, and then it was done after a few minutes. She was really good at her job, thorough, patient, competent, and cared about resolving my problem. Very pleased and would have given an A if the wait time was shorter.

to cancel my home phone service and was given the complete runaround. I had to speak to six different people before being put in touch with a manager, who then told me to contact ANOTHER 1-888 number to cancel my service. I was told multiple times that I couldn't cancel the home phone service without destroying my "triple play" so-called "promotional rate." Despite the fact that there is a quoted price of $89 on their website for the "double play" (two services package -- TV and internet), they wouldn't honor that price. I was told by a customer service manager that this was the price, AND it was written and posted on their website, and they still told me this was "unavailable" to current customers.
After more than 90 minutes speaking with customer service professionals, I finally got my phone service cancelled, but was still forced to pay a higher rate than I should've had to. This company is outrageous and I can't wait until all TV shows are available online so I don't have to deal with them.

I've been very pleased with their customer service whenever we've had a problem. Their home phone & high speed internet has served us well. We have had a few problems with the new Contour service "freezing" when trying to playback while a show is being recorded, which has usually been resolved by resetting the cable box...a little frustrating & time consuming :)! But, overall we'll continue to use

We moved a box from one bedroom to another and all of a sudden it didn't work. The cable in the bedroom had not been installed properly. The man who did the repair was a nice guy who got right to work and installed everything correctly. My review is because it seems that everytime something goes wrong a complete reinstall is needed and we are stuck at home on a Sat. We must have to call on a problem at least 3 or 4 times a year.

This was a very stressful, time-consuming service. I had an interminable telephone call with a representative whose accent I could barely understand - one of several with the same issue over the next three weeks. We finally got the plan worked out and set a date for service installation. I was out of town when the tech (a conract company) came to install. He hardly spoke a single word and my wife was intimidated. Upon my return, I found that only two of the three TV connections were installed. The Internet and the telephone were not working. I spent about four hours on the phone being transferred from one representative to another, trying reboot and other tests without success.
Finally, they agreed to send a tech out and scheduled that for eight days later. In the meantime, no service except two of the TV connections. When he arrived, the tech acted like it was his first time there and disparaged the first service. Well, my wife said it was the same guy as the first time. Surprise, he had no success.
After repeating the telephone call game, we finally got a tech who corrected the original problems and got everything working - two an done-half weeks after the original visit.
One of teh representatives had told me to call back when the system was working to get a credit. I called and had a terrible time getting teh rep to even consider a credit, even though my seven or eight hours of phone tme must have been documented - right? Well she agreed to credit our account a whopping $24.00 off our $119.00 monthly service. Well, I was so thrilled I told her to forget it.

I received a bill for a raise in the fees, so I called their customer service department, and they kept my bill at the rate of $15.63 per month. I only use the basic news channels, so it would be a waste of money for me to pay for more channels. When my six months was over, they let me continue at the reduced rate for another six months.

I no longer have the service where I live because the customer service over the phone is so bad that I finally decided to change to another carrier. There call offshore call centers are completely incompetent and even when I spoke to a supervisor to rectify a problem, she did not take care of it even though she assured me she would.
