Myrtle Beach Auto Repair Reviews

"After I tried to remove a small scratch on the drivers door I left a 3 inch circle with my electric buffer. I had removed the paint buffing the paint. Picked up the car in a few days and it looked great. Took a little longer than they said it would but I was in no hurry.

"You
are not going to believe this. First, how much a rip-off

is and
secondly, how stupid I was. I took my 2006 Scion XB to be painted and
a hole in roof repaired, nothing else. The vehicle worked perfectly
in every way. Later, the drop off day,
Myrtle Beach Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
called me stating that
the rear tailgate latch is broken and for (approx) $100.00 they could
fix it. I found that odd since I opened it every day - often for 7
years and did so that very day to remove stuff that I had in the back
and it operated perfectly every time. I told them this and they said
that they would get back to me later. Later never came. They called a
few days later to have me pick up the car, painted ready to go. Now
here is where I get stupid. I'm having 2 cars painted by them, so I
drive my 2004 Dodge Caravan down to pickup the other. When I arrive,
I was told that they made a mistake and that THEY broke the latch and
that they were mins. away from re-installing new one. I paid for the
XB, about $600.00 and we discussed what was to be done on the
caravan. But first, back to the XB. Now after paying I went to check
the latch to make sure it worked and it was a little loose, it has
the feeling that it will eventually fall off, but it worked and I
wanted to go home. I opened and closed it 2 or three times and left,
hopefully satisfied. When I got home to reload the tailgate area and
opened the gate, guess what happened? The d*** tailgate wouldn't stay
UP!

broke both struts too. I called back to
Myrtle Beach Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
and they
declined damaging the struts. They admit to breaking the latch and
they decline the struts. Now I'm mad. Mad that I left the other car
to be painted by these rip-offs.
The
cost was $400.00 and many hours of my time to get them replaced.
Now
back to the caravan. When I dropped off the mini-van I went over
each door, hatchback and dashboard lights. I proved to the salesman
that all of them worked properly (electronic remote). I then showed
him the dashboard that a Brake light warning had come on.
Acknowledging that it was already something wrong there. He told me
that they would find out what was wrong “FOR FREE” and see if
they could fix it. I said fine. Later they called me back saying it
was a “break sensor” and they would charge me $130.00; I agreed.
I do not know if that is good or bad price. Also, when I dropped car
off, I had them repair a tiny

on the

of a door that was
hardly noticeable, but I wanted it to be “next to perfect”. They
charged me 2 hours labor to fix what I think I could do in 5 mins,
not kidding. But as I said I wanted it perfect for possible resale.
I also told them, if they found any more dents to call me that I
wanted them fixed too.
Well,
of course there was a door

that I didn't see and they never
fixed it. So I have a newly painted car with a quarter size

right in the middle of a door.
Next
thing. I go to pick up the van at
Myrtle Beach Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
and pay about $1000.00 and
as I'm about to drive off, guess what?
I
see a NEW dash light for the engine lit. I'm p*****. 2 cars and
they screw up both of them. I get the salesman back out and he grabs
some device to hook up to my car to find out whats wrong with it. 5
mins later he tells me that is it probably a vacuum hose leak and
that he reset the light and if it came back on, to call them.
2
days later its back on and I call. They said that they would send
out their mobile mechanic to fix the problem. Well, its been 3 weeks
and now the mechanic is saying that they are not going to pay for the
repairs.
And
let me warn you people out there. It is extremely hard to
Myrtle Beach Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
a
company for this sort of thing. Hard to prove that hey did anything
wrong. I know they did and now you know they did too but going to
court in SC isn't that easy. You almost must have a lawyer. Even is
small claims. You know

will.
