"This was the second time I've taken laundry to
. The first visit, I took a VERY large amount that was ready for pickup the next day" as promised. Each piece, no matter the size and/or condition, was beautifully done. The second time, when I picked up, it was exactly the same, with one exception. My youngest of two children, age 4, asked ME if the silly putty was going to come out of her blanket this time. I gave up on trying to get it out two yrs ago. I never even mention it, paid, got my ticket, and left. The putty is gone! I can't imagine how much time it took. What a wonderfully personal touch from them. My daughters reaction was priceless!

"The window cleaners were on time for a walk-through and estimate; and on the day they did the actual work. They are professional and friendly. Everything was" done to our satisfaction, and windows that hadn't been cleaned in 35 years shined like new!

Dry Cleaning

Dry cleaning is a service that treats clothing and other items with a chemical solvent instead of soap and water. A dry cleaner also provides such services as repairing and ironing clothing.

One of the common complaints we see on Angie’s List in the alterations category is that clothes are not altered in time. Don’t wait until a week before school starts to get those clothes fitted properly because they might have a back to school rush. Keep in mind shops may also be busy this time of year with wedding alterations.

Dry Cleaning reviews in Lexington

I have been using 1 Less Chore Dry Cleaning for about 5 years and
Lexington Dry Cleaners Provider Name Locked
has always been prompt and professional. I have to say that the fact that they pick up and drop off is absolutely the best thing as you do not have to worry about getting to the store in order to drop off or pick up your clothes within a specific time frame. Otherwise the pricing is comparable to other dry cleaners that I used prior to started with 1 Less Chore and the quality is terrific and the alteration services and repairs are also mostly very good. I usually do about 9-11 items every month with the cost reflected above. Definitely would recommend to anyone who has a busy schedule and needs to have dry cleaning done on a regular basis.

I had a difficult time finding good reviews about cleaners in this area. We specifically wanted our comforter cleaned with soap and water (not dry cleaned), and we wanted it done for an affordable price (not $70 to $90 like some dry cleaners wanted).
I called a couple of local laundromats that sent me straight to voicemail. I called another, which was closer to my home, but the lady who answered the phone spoke very broken English and had no idea what they charged for cleaning comforters (I don't think that she understood what a "comforter" is), she apologized and said that it was her first day at work there. (I decided that it might be worth driving a little further.)
Without much to go on, except for one good review that I found elsewhere online, I decided to give
Lexington Dry Cleaners Provider Name Locked
a shot.
I was very pleasantly surprised!
When I called, someone actually answered the phone, spoke English, and promptly answered my questions, offering the best price that I could find in the area. They have a very nice, updated, professional looking website. The attendant was prompt and courteous, and they had my comforter cleaned, folded, and bagged, smelling nice and fresh again, within a matter of just a FEW HOURS!
$35 with a THREE HOUR turn-around time, for cleaning a KING SIZE COMFORTER, and it turned-out WONDERFULLY!
I'm very happy that I stumbled onto this little gem in the rough! I know that they'll be washing my comforters for years to come!

This was a 5 x 8 area rug that I brought into the store. The rug was about 5 years old, and originally cost upwards of $500. They assured me that they were experts at cleaning such rugs. When I picked it up a week later, the rug was streaked and the backing, which used to be firm, was now very soft. The rug would not

We bought 8 man-hours of cleaning services for $225 as an Angie's List Special. It could have been 2 people for 4 hours or 3 people for 2 hours and 40 minutes. They chose to send 3 people which was fine with me. It had been several months since our apartment was thoroughly cleaned and we had priorities. They implemented our requests and devoted more time to areas where we wanted more thorough cleaning. For example, we wanted the bathroom floors washed with bleach and the bathroom walls wiped down. They followed our instructions. We intend to hire them again. I can not think of anything they did that they could improve upon.

HORRIBLE! I have just experienced the least competent customer service of my life.
A little background: I've lived in this neighborhood off and on for well more than a decade and, while I have not been a constant customer here I have used them for shirts and dry cleaning a fair bit through the years. I always thought they were basically okay, with more frequent, yet benign, screw-ups than I would like. Twice in the past couple months, for example, I returned shirts that had not been pressed properly. Annoying but not terrible.
All of that just changed.
I recently noticed they have a sign in the window saying they clean rugs. I've always trusted my rugs only to

(a practice to which I will be returning), but I decided to give the neighborhood store a

with the runner in my foyer. Eco explained to me that they clean some rugs themselves and others they take to other cleaners in the area. The woman who took my rug didn't know who would clean this one. She said that rugs can take 2 weeks.
About 9 or 10 days later I was in the store to drop off some shirts and I asked about my rug on the off-off-
Lexington Dry Cleaners Provider Name Locked
it got done early. The guy behind the counter came out and started looking through some rugs rolled up and laying on the floor - and there was my rug, laying on the bare floor - uncleaned, unwrapped, looking dirtier than when I'd dropped it off some 10 days earlier. If it was even tagged I didn't see it. Mine was the ONLY rugs not wrapped in paper, as though they wanted anyone coming in from outside to step on it. I guess I wasn't clear that I want the rug cleaner, not dirtier.
The guy helping me said he was the manager (he wasn't), and he had ZERO information about what was going on. Just then another gentleman drove up who represented himself as the owner (he wasn't) drove up and said he is responsible for carpets. He had plenty of excuses. For one of them, he threatened to
Lexington Dry Cleaners Provider Name Locked
me if I wrote online what he said.
Lexington Dry Cleaners Provider Name Locked
The thing that seems to be true is that he was out of the office for a personal reason and he says none of his employees took over some of his responsibilities. We all have personal issues, but a good manager has systems in place for other people to take over. You don't just let stuff pile up!
So, now they're scrambling to get my rug done on time, and the wanna-be-owner-guy pledges it will be. He initially said he would do that by drying it in an extremely hot room - something a leading rug company says could ruin it. And this is Eco's leading rug guy. Why not just throw it in the dryer??
Would my rug have gotten cleaned if I hadn't stumbled across it? Are they now taking shortcuts? Why the #$@#($* was it laying on a bare floor for people to step on it 10 days after I dropped it off? I've asked these and many other questions and gotten scant, sometimes conflicting, answers.
The best cleaner in

I brought to dress the matching jacket in and was told there was no problem with making the alterations. I had several fittings each time something additional was done. I asked several times for an estimate, but none was given. I was told it won't be too bad. When I went to pick up the dress nothing was done to the jacket. Jacket was altered in time for the wedding.

Seamstress was often late for our appt. Shop was very hot and changing room was extremely small.

This dry cleaners to say the least is not a dry cleaner at all!! Even when requesting Dry Clean they machine washed my bedding and complete ruined the filling as it shrunk I am sure it was not washed in cold water not that would have changed the results but lessened them. When taking it back to the
Lexington Dry Cleaners Provider Name Locked
store to see what could be done
Lexington Dry Cleaners Provider Name Locked
the Store Manager she was unapologetic and stated it was a manufacturers issue "this happens all the time" and would not do anything about it - not return my money NOTHING!!! While I understand the tag indicated it should be machine washed when a customer asked for Dry Cleaning you should tell them you can not dry clean it only machine was it and I would not have paid $35 for a machine washing and the ruining of my expensive bedding. Anyone who knows about fabric or linen materials which I would have assumed of a cleaners would know this is what would happen if machine washed. I highly recommend you understand what your cleaner will do even when requested by you so don't waste your money. NOTE: if this happens all the time shouldn't you let the customer know it is possible.
