Hardscaping Reviews in Columbia

came out for an estimate. He was very helpful in deciding how to do the landscaping and retaining wall. Initially, we had them landscape just part of the front yard to save money, but it looked so good that we called them back to finish the front. Sod, shrubs, asiatic
, holly tree and japanese maple were artistically installed, along with a beautiful grey stone retaining wall and a small paved area near the front door to hold a bench. It looks great and we are always getting compliments from the neighbors. Plants were chosen for ease of care as well as beauty. This work was done in August. Then in October we had

came out to direct the placement of the trees. His crew were always professional and pleasant and showed up on time. They did an especially nice job on the retaining wall out front which was carefully measured and leveled. Thank you
. We love our yard.

Working with
has been a completely satisfying experience, from the first yard walk-through to the last.
(the owner) and
(the foreman) are focused on customer satisfaction! don't like something, they will change it. New idea, they will incorporate it. Not sure what to do, they will give you an idea. To these two guys the jobs not done until you are a happy customer!

You can see pictures of our project and others on their facebook page:

Our landscape overhaul and revival project had gotten off to a rather bumpy and unsatisfactory start with a different company, so we were cautious when selecting our next vendor. It was important to us that we were able to develop strong communication and a sense of trust.

We started the project with
by doing a yard walkthrough and discussing some ideas we had, things we liked and things we didnt like. He spent over an hour with us in that first meeting, returning on a subsequent occasion to take exact measurements and photographs of the existing landscape.

Our next step was to review the professional landscape design plans that
had created for our project.
brought multiple views/elevations of the landscape design, hardscape design/materials books, example plants, and a portfolio of past work which served as a good reference for our discussion. We couldnt quite visualize the scale of some of the hardscape, so
took us to a previous job where he could demonstrate what it would look like.

Regarding the project scope and pricing model
was fair and understanding. He worked with us to make adjustments to the plan so that it would fit within our budget and we would get a finished product that we would be proud of. The project was estimated to take 3-4 weeks, but due to a very rainy September was extended to 7 weeks for completion.

and his crew really made things happen during the build phase, which has completely transformed our yard! They primarily worked a Monday - Thursday schedule putting in long hours to get the job done. With attention to detail at every step, more than once they made changes proactively to ensure the job result was top grade. These guys take a lot of pride in what they do.

I often travel for work, so on more than one occasion
and I would meet to discuss and review progress on a Friday. He always made time for my feedback, questions, and ideas. If something was uncertain they were able keep me updated with SMS pictures and eMails directly from the job site. I always looked forward to coming home and seeing the great progress made that week.

Having enjoyed both the experience, and project results, of working with
we opened our new patio at jobs end with a celebratory cook-out for the entire crew! I would recommend
to anyone who has landscaping needs!

They did excellent work and I would probably use them again. The main contractor used some sub contractors. I thought that their pricing wasn?t the greatest, but it was good since he provided sort of general contract along with other sub contract work. I needed that at that time and it worked out really well. I was pleased with their work.

We were very pleased with everything he did. He was not only the most reasonable bid for everything, but the finished job was well within what he had estimated. He was very accessible whenever I needed something and when I asked him to do something he would do exactly as he said. Also, his crew was very dependable.

Very efficient and fast. Major work was done in a couple of days about a week or so after initial visit and estimate. Particularly appreciated attention to detail and perfectionism, e.g., making sure possible "wet spot" at house end of drive was not due to underground water or neighbor's sump pump drainage so pavers were removed, ground checked & allowed to dry, then replaced (been perfect ever since), and return visit a couple of months later to redo sidewalk end of walk sank in due to remains / removal of roots from a city Water Oak that had been cut down a couple of years ago. By that time it was late enough in the season to allow for tree planting so we had them put in topsoil, ajuga & Japanese maple - which as since leafed out beautifully - and mulch. We also appreciated care they took in finding the "right" maple and trying to track down the type of ajuga we wanted, which has also since blossomed and begun to spread as predicted. Paving work done late August, flowerbed & walkway repair in late October. They were in constant touch by email and/or phone, prompt in doing what they said they would. Only minor issue was accidental neglect of a dozen or so ajuga plants between purchase and planting and while still in their possession that

to eventual loss of 5 or 6 after planting. But

was very up front about the mishap and was right about just a little extra TLC (watering) that revived them. As I mentioned, all but a half dozen survived the winter and have spread nicely this spring. They were excellent about clean-up & removal of all debris, too.
(Meant to submit this review last fall but am all the happier to be able to do so now that plantings have proven their viability.)

They did a wonderful job. Performed the work in a timely manner and on budget. My parents have used him for several other home repair projects at their house too! His work is excellent, and though it may be a little bit more expensive, you get what you pay for (which is a nice looking home!).

I was very happy with the work and even happier that they fixed the wall immediately, with no additional charge.

stands by their work and fixed the problem without any fuss. I'm very happy with this company.
