Columbia Door Installers Reviews

A
"Things went smoothly. I was pretty relaxed about exactly when the work needed to be done, so we kept pushing back the timing (partly to coordinate the people involved.) Once we had a meeting or workday scheduled,
Columbia Door Installers Provider Name Locked
was always there at the planned time. I plan to have future work done by them."

"-Had only 1 man to paint entire exterior of house- nice fellow, but of course it took him a long time. Hope he got to everything! It worries me that he did not put on enough paint in some areas because he was being rushed to another job.
-steps are really sloppy. They are falling off of the house because they are not attached to the wall well - really looks like I built them - RUN!!
-exterior doors are in place & are working fine
-replaced custom molding looks good and seems to be holding up well so far
-basement access door looks & works well
-Ah! the columns! They were to match the columns that have custom molding around the bottom.

& I agreed that he could use prefab models, because they are relatively far from the other columns & really closely resemble them. He had given me a cost for 2 custom made - t hen, there were no adjustments down in the price for using the prefab. I have 1 support left that is just a rusty pole. He was originally suppposed to at least paint it in the price. It looks horrible.
-Not sure "entire house" was pressure washed, but the windows were & they look nice.
-Just an addendum:

is always very nice & helpful ! She's very good at her job.
-This Co.'s estimate was not the cheapest , but I picked them. Somehow, the money just kept slipping through my hands on this one. Tuned out to be VERY expensive. I'm a woman, so maybe that had something to do with it!

"His name is
Columbia Door Installers Provider Name Locked
. He was very good. I don't know if he is good with everything but he was definitely very good with the toilet. The price was very reasonable. About a week after they cleaned under the refrigerator my hardwood floors started buckling under the refrigerator and out in front of it. I called them immediately and they came back. They said that when they pushed the refrigerator back the tubing that connects the water to the refrigerator broke. They were shoddy parts that the builder had done. They replaced my floor for free. They could have charged me for it because it was purely an accident. Somehow when they pushed the refrigerator back, that piece of plastic snapped. They didn’t push it too far because I could still see behind it. There was a slow leak out of that little water pipe and it buckled underneath the floorboard. About a third of my kitchen hardwood floor was ruined. I found where the flooring came from and they bought it and did it for free. It took a whole day. I felt so bad."

"They just did a great job. The installer took the time to explain everything to us. He was on time, and when I had an issue with one of the doors, they came back fixed it immediately. They even gave me their cell phone number."

"The estimate was low, but largely because the company ignored some of my more expensive requirements. The ultimate cost, calculating the more expensive work I didn't have done, was on par with other estimates I got. Communication was a substantial issue--requirements had to be repeated even after signing the contract. The carpenter was excellent. The siding installer was adequate, but there were shortcomings in his work. The drywall installers were mediocre, and I would not be pleased to use them again. Their work was especially uneven and they left an enormous mess. Ultimately, the work was fine, which is why I gave the company a C. However, I would not do business with the company again because hiring a professional should mean a hassle-free transaction. He got paid to do the work, but I didn't get any money for babysitting him, and I shouldn't have to repeat myself that many times."
A
"The quality of workmanship was excellent; the crew(s) were on time every day and work was completed in a timely manner."

A
"He gave me an estimate, then took a while, but after a few calls, he came and did the work. He did a good job and came in within the amount he estimated. His prices are really competitive."
