"I had a complicated bankruptcy, but not so complicated that an attorney in this field would have trouble with. My discharge went well, but after that it was insanity." Bottom line was that I felt as though

"I received several emails from
showing a $0.00 balance on my account and, four months later, received a letter stating that I owed over $53." After investigating, I learned that
sends out email statements on its credit line (which I didn't want and have never used) via email and I (quite reasonably) believed I owed nothing on my payment account when I received them. I'm unsure whether
's use of confusing email statements is due to incompetence or designed to mislead customers and generate late fees. I also discovered that
had not accessed either my bank or credit card account to obtain payment. I'm partially at fault, but the confusing series of emails (including others I won't get into) detract from what should be an easy-to-use service.

We checked NFCU web site for mortgage rates and read the detail terms and conditions, so we decided to use them for my son's first mortgage application. Web site did NOT indicate rate based on downpayment. We got pre-approval, rates were provided, knowing that we will be putting 20% down. We got a contract for a condo. We submitted ratified contract to get the loan processed. 1st shock was that the rates on web site are for people with 30% downpayment, so our rate went up; the 2nd shock was that we have to pay 0.75% to 1.5% more points for the loan (in addition to the origination and discount points), depending on the condo questionnaire they need from the condo association! You think with the honor of being a Navy Credit Union, they wouldn't to such tactics to get you to apply for loan. I am going somewhere else! I am very disturbed by such loan practice. I would not advise anyone to apply thru NFCU. I am in the process of using them to sell one of my properties, I am going to cancel it! I don't trust them!

I think they have poor customer service. They told me that I would have to pay a $15.00 fee in order for them to replace my damaged money order. The person I spoke with gave very poor customer service. I will never use

again for a money order and I told him that. I also told him that I would tell other people about their poor customer service. I had also explained that I would be reporting them to Angie's List with bad scores for their poor customer service and it did not change a thing. The store I bought it from had called

on my behalf to explain the issue in the hopes that they would replace my money order. They explained to the lady that they would be contacting me immediately to assist with the issue and that there would be no issue in giving me another money order. In the end there clearly was an issue.

I've been with

for over ten years and over time I have noticed that they frequently move debits and credits around from moment to moment. They did it again to me for the last time. They posted a debit and credit in such a way so that an overdraft occurred and charged me $35.00. They do this all the time. I'm sick of it and I'm pulling my money out and finding a new bank. They were sued at one point for the same thing but apparently have not changed their business practices.

after asking about banking services in the area. Well, what a mistake that was. After a mix up with ADP payroll with my change of address, and a stop payment on a payroll check by mistake,

immediately froze ALL the money in my account(not just the check in question). They explained to me that it is standard policy while they "investigate" what happened. They assured me that it would not take more than 7 days. Well, 2 weeks later, after 2 additional $5000.00+ deposits(which were frozen as well), they were still bouncing my bill pay to creditor's and mortgages. After several attempts to resolve this over the phone and it person, they finally, after a personal visit to the branch manager, lifted the freeze. I have to add that the telephone customer service reps that I spoke with were NOT helpful. They were rude, unprofessional and VERY unsympathetic. I had planned to use them for my business accounts, investment accounts but NO WAY. They get the minimum amount every month to cover my bills since I pay my bills online and that's it!! It was 2 weeks of pure stress and after several emails to the branch manager to recover my fees, no response. I would take your money and go elsewhere. don't trust it with this bank!!!

The people are very friendly, professional, helpful, and accommodating.

Inside, it's a very clean facility, modern, up-to-date. Staff is really nice. It's really convenient to my house. They have up-to-date equipment so I don't ever have to go in the bank. They have several offices in town. It's a national system. They're a full service bank where they have investments and insurance and all that kind of stuff. It's convenient.

Their rates were good; that is why I went with them. The bad thing is they pulled my credit three times so that hurt my credit score. Everything was going smoothly until when the appraisal came in. It came in like $40,000 less than what it should have been. I ended up giving them comps of houses of my area, showed it to them, and kind of prove to them that the appraisal was wrong. I ended up going with Home State and I got the appraisal that was $20,000 above where it should have been. It was $50,000 to $60,000 swing. What I believe happened is their appraiser was just lazy. That appraiser went by comps like from a year ago, but what he did not realize or was too lazy to look up was that this year, the

They come to find out once I switched over to the other bank then they call me up and told me that they were going to send another appraiser because they believe the other one made a mistake. It was too late.

I had a run in with them and they are clueless. I went in to do a transaction that is a little bit more complicated than they are used to and I was told that due to a scheduling error there was no one there to do the transaction. The bank manager was there for 35 years and the manager who wanted to leave left me with two newbies who did not know what to do.
