In addition to the roughly $100-200 for the lockset itself, I would expect from $50-100 range (depending on your local labor costs) by a locksmith, ASSUMING you get a lockset that uses the existing door and frame lockset holes - should only take about 15-30 minutes in that case. Could run into maybe $100 more for a carpenter or the locksmith to fill and glue the existing holes and then drill new ones if lock does not fit the existing (probably "standard" hole spacing and setback - or maybe $200-300 more for carpenter to put in entirely new striker side trim and paint to match if you don't like the looks of the filled holes.

Locksmith reviews in Blythewood

Work performed great, installed promptly and answered all questions. Only issue was taking deposit took $740 deposit due to error on receptionist.

Lior was awesome--friendly, savvy, easy to get ahold of, and very helpful. He keyed a lock that others had abandoned and restored an antique brass locking mechanism--making my life a heck of a lot easier. And all for the price of half the job at bigger outfits with less character and amiability. The 15% off or $20 off (whichever greater) for first time angielist customers rocked!

I had a door handle that was loose and needed to be either replaced or repaired. Gentleman rearranged his schedule and came late in the afternoon (after business hours) to be sure that it could be repaired before I left town the next day. He was very accommodating considering that he had to drive for about an hour and half to get there. Turned out it was just a screw that needed to be tightened so while he didn't do much in the way of work, he also repaired something

rather than suggesting that I buy a whole new lock/door handle assembly. I'm not sure most repair folks would be so honest. Very much appreciated the professionalism, honesty and flexibility to accommodate my timing emergency!!

Each time,

responded to my call incredibly quickly -- within minutes -- and scheduled a time to come to our house. For our scheduled appointments,

was prompt, courteous, professional and efficient. All locks work well.
Also, our back door (a french door) has a tricky lock -- a few days after he left the first time, I was leaving the house and had trouble locking it. (He had showed me how to lock it when he first changed the lock... but I had forgotten how.) After struggling a few minutes with it, I called him. He responded immediately, and he patiently talked me through locking the door. I was able to lock up and leave my house promptly. Plus, he didn't make me feel like an idiot for not being able to get the door locked, which I appreciated!!

I put in an online request via Angie's List to the provider on 2/25 and he called me almost immediately (within 5 minutes). He was able to give me an appointment for the next day and gave me a price much lower than I was expecting for a locksmith. He called the next day to ask if he could come early because he finished another job early. I said yes. Good thing, because there were issues with my old panic bars--the screws were completely stripped and it took him nearly 2 hours to get the panic bar opened without breaking the assembly. Because his price was lower than expected, I offered to pay him for the extra time it took him to do the job. He refused to accept any payment above the estimate. Pat Bell did an outstanding job with my assembly, and I would recommend him to anyone who needs a locksmith.
- Devin L.

The service was exceptional. They were on time. i required same day service and they were able to accommodate me. It literally took less than 30 mins to rekey the front and back door. I would definitely recommend them if you require rekeying.

I called the day before and they told me to bring my filing cabinet (which my kids locked and lost the keys) to their place of business. They said they would pick the lock and fashion a new set of keys for me. I asked how much that would cost and they estimated $35.00. I thought that very reasonable and drove the cabinet to them the next day. The gentleman working inside dropped what he was doing and went to my vehicle, picked the lock, and determined that a key could not be cut but that the lock assembly would need to be replaced. I asked how much that would cost and he said 14.99. I assumed that would be in addition to the 35.00 already quoted. The provider had the lock replaced and had me on my way in less than 30 minutes. The total price was rounded up 31.00. I was very pleased with the work provided and the price. The provider was not the most friendly person but was professional.
- Mark M.

It went great. They showed up on time and did a great job. They went around at the end and double checked all the locks and keys. I even got a lesson on how to care for locks. I would recommend!!!!
