Blythewood Electricians Reviews

"requested installation of surround sound audio and video with TV mounted on wall and cabling run. did not respond promptly; finally came for estimate but then ignored calls for setting up service, very unprofessional, actually thought he was casing the house for later robbery or something. very shady and would not recommend this provider.

came on short notice and not only fixed the issue we had, but explained why the issue was occurring.
We would definitely use Mr.

again and we recommend him to anyone who needs quality electrical and a reasonable price.
"Initial contact was delayed due to overwhelming response to Angie's List deal, but he did get with us and schedule an appointment. That appointment got cancelled because he was sick. He was hard to reach for a whole week due to phone issues, but did reschedule. Once he got here, he was very accommodating. He did everything we asked and did a good job. He didn't charge extra for looking at our gate opener. He was careful to ask if everything was done to my satisfaction which it certainly was."
"They did a good and thorough job. Some emergency calls took priority
over our scheduled appointment. But once they arrived they did an
excellent job. I would use them again based on this experience
"I am a very handy person around the house and know how to install additional electrical outlets either tied to another circuit or run as a home run back to a new breaker in the panel box. My wife had wanted two additonal electrical outlets installed in our "porch" area. The porch room was a screened in porch with the main house roof covering the space when built allowing for two GFCI outlets. The porch was recently enclosed allowing for conditioned air and year around use. With the new use of the room there was the need for more elecrical outlets. My work schedule was busy and I could never seem to get around to installing the outlets. My wife got the ad for 2 hours of electrical services at a very reasonable (to good to be true) price and I agreed to sign up for it. I then called

and described in great detail of what I wanted accomplished. I explained that I wanted two electrical outlets installed into the brick and not surfaced mounted with metal conduit on the wall. I explained that the outlets could be tied into an existing circuit under the house. I also explained that the wires could come up from under the house crawl space in order to be installed in an electrical box placed in to the wall. I asked if this was reasonable and could it be done with the 2 hour limit and the answer was, "yes sir, no problem". We agreed on the install date.
The scheduled start time was 9:00 AM. At 9:00 AM I get a call explaining he was having car trouble and would be late. By the way,
Blythewood Electricians Provider Name Locked
is a one man show, he answered the initial call and was the electrician who showed up to do the work. At 9:45 he arrives. There is a second person in the van but he doesn't get out of the van to come inside as he was talking on the phone. I had bought all the electrical materials needed for the job as that wasn't discussed during the call as I forgot and I didn't want someone leaving to go buy materials. He didn't have the outlet boxes with him when he arrived. The first thing he wanted to do was surface mount the boxes and run metal conduit and I explained we had agreed not to do that. Since he didn't have the tools to cut into brick veneer to install the outlet boxes we used my tools. When we went under the house to run the wire up to the outlet he didn't have the proper drill bit to drill the hole nor did he have the fish tape to fish the wire up to the box, again we used my tools. After about an hour his helper came in from the car but sat in a chair and watched. I'm assuming it was his 17-20 year old son. We finished after about 1.5 hrs and I decided I didn't need to install the second outlet. I also felt like I was the electrician and he was the helper and for the $79 price that was okay as it was better to have a helper for this type of electrical work. I have to assume he is a licensed electrician but he wasn't well prepared for the job. I thought the job was well described prior to his arrival. I didn't think someone would agree to install two outlets in brick veneer and not be surface mounted for $79. Although I don't think he is a great electrician, he was what I needed to get the outlet installed and $79 was a reasonable price for what I got.
