Complaint ResolutionIf a project goes badly, Angie’s List has a complaint resolution team standing by to help you.
They recommended putting new finish just on the top and the shelf-top, and restoring the original finish on the legs and the other areas of the table, rather than refinishing everything, which was what I had considered necessary.
The advice they gave was knowledgeable and good, the results came out great, and it was done on time, even a bit ahead of the time they had promised it.
The coupon was for $99 for $200 worth of furniture repairs. So for 2 chairs, drawer handle, and cracking lid on an antique
He completely refinished the tabletop better than new (the cherry wood finish was redone slightly darker than new - better, in my opinion). He estimated two weeks to get the job done, but returned the table in one week!
Right on time for both appointments - no problems getting in touch with him. don't know what the other reviewers' problems might have been, but he did right by me. Would definitely use again.
a deposit, and he accepts cash or check. So be prepared if you are ready for him to haul off your items. He took approx. a week to strip the furniture. At that point we arranged for me to meet him at his workshop to decide on color. It was very helpful to see the stains on wood. The full project was complete by week 3 and he delivered to my house for no additional fee. I was very impressed
by his craftsmanship. Be sure to spell check and proof your e-mails, he will call you out on grammatical errors.
He created custom rails for the side of the bed that look great with great use of some vintage hardware with a stain that matches extremely closely. He did charge a little extra for delivery to Philadelphia but it was totally worth it and I have a bed as good as new (I upgraded to a King, but this bed is now in my guest bedroom).
I would highly recommend
