"I took all the materials and the pattern in to the store the end of September, I took an example of my grandsons cart cover to show what the finished product should look like. Because" it was Homecoming time, they were not able to get to it until the first week of October. I told them it was fine. They were not able to give me a quote till they looked at the pattern, the next thing I knew it was done. I thought it was a fair price for the amount of work that had to be done. It is was a reversible double cart cover, so it was huge and bulky. I had requested to have pockets put inside the pink side, but they must have forgot, so I added a pocket when I got home. Overall the craftsmanship was excellent.

"Never had anything but good results using this shop, excellent workmanship, additionally the atmosphere is always pleasant and welcoming. Having frequented this business over a period" of years, I have been impressed with the quality of the employees which despite the normal turnover are consistently personable as well as competent, making you feel valued and well cared for even if the owner is out of the shop. I appreciate that staff phones you when items are completed. The variety of items that are worked on is astonishing, from men's suits to wedding dresses with complicated structure and beading and everything in between. They even do custom men's suits and shirts, with beautiful fabric choices that do not cost an arm and a leg. I recommend
frequently to friends and acquaintances.

"She used exactly the same thread. When her husband pressed the pants, they have a permanent crease in them now. They have a real state of the art technology -- you give your phone number" and your information comes right up. They work hard & do beautiful work. Their prices are consistent with other businesses in the area. They are conveniently located, too.

Many people are unfamiliar with hiring someone to do custom sewing or tailoring. It’s important to have a clear idea of what type of garment you want and to understand the process of ordering custom apparel.

Because clothing for formal occasions is rarely worn, alterations may be necessary. If alterations are needed, allow yourself plenty of time to have them completed. (Photo courtesy of Angie’s List member Barbara S.)

Clothing alterations can make a big difference in your overall appearance. Minor alterations will make the most major impact. Knowing what to look for in a tailor and what can and can't be fixed is the first step.

You would have to have a shoe repair shop evaluate them - some heels are hollow except at the tip so you might not be able to shorten them and retain the necessary strength - others are solid, so he would have to look at them. Might be able to just remove heel cap, cut down, and put heel cap back on.

Bear in mind that cutting the heels down will rock the shoe "backwards", so you will be walking on sole further back on the shoe - if the unthickened sole part betweenthe heel and the ball of the foot would be walked on because of this, you might have to pay him to add leather there to, which might mean resoling the entire shoe - could get pricey, if these are not worth hundreds of $.

As for evaluating a shoe repai place - only thing I can think is if these are pricey shoes, call store and see if they recommend a particular place. Otherwise Search Angies List for sheo repair places and reviews.

Clothing Alterations reviews in Woonsocket

Both pair of pants were professionally repaired within a week at a reasonable cost. Certainly a lot cheaper than replacing the suits. The back pocket repair is hardly noticeable and the side pockets look like brand new. I couldn't have asked for a better, more cost effective repair. Service was very good and there were no

Beautiful work, highly reasonable, and very fast.
Woonsocket Tailors Provider Name Locked
is an expert and highly versatile tailor--an astute eye and superb skills. I saw some of the custom clothing she was making for others, Wow.

I have been using
Woonsocket Tailors Provider Name Locked
for several years for all my alterations needs. The proprietor really knows how to alter a garment to make it fit in a flattering way. I have used
Woonsocket Tailors Provider Name Locked
to alter dresses that cost in the $500 range and the alterations have been flawless. The turn around time is usually a week or 10 days depending on her schedule. The prices are very fair. I would highly recommend
Woonsocket Tailors Provider Name Locked
for all your alterations needs.

I had high hopes for this tailor based on all of the good reviews, but sadly, that didn't happen.
I took several items that needed altered, they pinned everything and gave me a pick up date. I didn't think anything of it taking 5-6 weeks, after all, she gets great reviews. When I returned on the promise date for pick, the counter help couldn't find my garments and

(or someone whom I assumed was

When I questioned as to why I wasn't called regarding the delay, I was told that they we going to call but hadn't gotten to it yet. Well, it was 1:30pm and they close at 4:00pm. This tells me they have no regard for the customer.
So beware. If you need something in a hurry, I would look elsewhere. If the wait is not a problem, just be prepared to wait even longer. It's one thing for any establishment to be busy based on great reviews, but if they can't deliver when promised, well, that's just bad business and I took my business elsewhere.

We had a dryer fire and before I knew it we had laundry everywhere before the new one could be delivered. I called and they could not have been nicer. They turned my laundry over in ONE day. Totally incredible. They also made no judgements about cat hair and stinky damp towels. They also helped me load and unload my car. Excellent service.

They look good and were done on time. I ran a test with another seamstress and

's work was better by far and at a better price. You couldn't even tell that the pants had been altered when she was done. I am happy with how they turned.

Brought in several articles needing alterations. Got a text notice they were ready for pick up. When I picked them up the were sitting on a shelf in a heap and not returned ironed or in a bag for transport. I was also unpleasantly surprised by the price and the woman subbing at the counter informed me of what work had been done but not a price breakdown. I went to wear one of the pairs of pants the next day to find out the requested work I paid for was not even completed. She was very apologetic and told me to bring them back to have the work done but the hour drive there and back from my home does not make sense to do for that price. I will look for somewhere closer. ****The work that was done was good and in a timely manner.
