Ireally appreciated
's professionalism. He came on time, evaluated my list and got started. My list was overwhelming to me, but things were done and marked off.
After having had our home remodeled a few years ago, there were things that had never been finished. Knowing that I have someone I can call to do what needs to be done, be professional, and trust that I can have him in my home to do quality work, and not leave a mess means alot to me.
We discussed future jobs that I need to have done. He made me feel that my jobs were important to him and they could be done by him.
I look forward to him coming to my house again.

Woodworking reviews in Wakefield

Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
is fantastic to work with. He came by to see what we needed to have done the very same day I called him (a Saturday!!). He was responsive and flexible. Initially we thought we wanted to re-do our back deck with some type of composite decking (like Trex) but as we considered the options (and read lots of reviews of people who weren't happy with composite decking over the long-term) we decided to just use pressure treated wood. Even though this would be a less expensive job,
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
didn't flinch and was happy to provide a quote for the less expensive material. He re-did our entire back deck in 2.5 days. We were very impressed with the quality of his work, his pleasant attitude, his thoroughness, his responsiveness and his fairness. don't hesitate to call him. He's the right choice. We look forward to working with him again very soon. Thank you,

perfect! left everything spotless. two painters were professional and completed the project on time. I look forward to these painters returning to complete the back of the house and interior.

It was an average nuisance while it was being done, but that's what the redecorating process looks like. One ceiling had old calcimine paint, and some bad water damage. It's PERFECT now. The house looks fantastic now.
It took two full weeks, usually he had three or four guys working. The work is not inexpensive, but it's worth every cent. It went very smoothly, and
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
is very easy to work with. Responds to questions via e-mail, text, and voice mail. I'd strongly recommend him and would definitely use him again.

My father had recently died, and my mother whom is in her 60's and has 4 young developmental disabled children in the house hired this company with supposedly

as the owners. They started the job in September, and would not show up till ten am the earliest, and usually leave by 4 pm. They did not call when running late, or not going to show up. They requested half the cost upfront, but would not have the check made out to the company, they had all the checks made out to one of them personally, claiming that they had a problem getting a business bank account. After about a month, they needed more money, when questioned about why they walked off job saying till they got more money not coming back. Finally my mother agreed because her roof was not even done yet. Then they decided to do windows at same time of roof, at that time they also took off all old siding. My mother asked them to keep any of the supplies removed from house so she might possibly recycle or reuse. By now they again asked for more money and we were moving into the really cold weather, which was negative ten to twenty degrees. She again paid more money, because they were walking out. when they finally showed up they finished roof, the windows they put in were not sealed,y mother was trying to seal. Even with her running heater full blast, she could not get the house any warmer then 50degrees at most, because no siding on house and windows not sealed. They took the gutters, and down spouts off the house because they said needed to take somewhere to paint.
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
refused to come back and work on my mothers house unless he got more money.
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
agreed to continue but would only show back up sporadically claiming all kinds of family issues, or issues finding someone whom is not a drug addict to help him finish the job. He started working on one side of the house and then after a few days said need gas money, so she would give gas money then a few more days before he would show up. Then he would come around 10am, leave for lunch around 11 come back from lunch around 1, and leave about 4. he would ask for supplies. He never finished more then one quarter of one side of a house. never finished fence that he started, got even got out. My mother went and saw an attorney, and because they did not put an end date on their contract, and they had other loop holes, my mother cannot get her money back. The attorney tried to get them to finish by a certain time and they would not. Essentially, the only way my mother had out of this is to ask them to cancel their contract, so that she might have someone else work on it. So essentially these men stole almost 6 months of my mother time, tore up her
house, left her and the children with things in worse condition, and took all my fathers life insurance money. I say beware of these people, for they say experts at helping elderly, the disadvantage that others take advantage of so everything will be ok. So if this is what ok is, the people they helped are probably helped right out of their money and into an economic problem. Please do not trust them.

He did a great job. Showed up on time, was very attentive to the details of the work. The house is old so his space in the attic was small but he got the wires all set up for the security cameras like we wanted. The shed was built to the exact specifications and matched the house remodel. He was very professional easy to work with, even our dogs liked him. We will use him again for our addition to home next year, there is no job he can't do. This guy is great!

I called
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and left a message - he got back to me the next day. I had to wait a few days for him to actually complete the work because he's busy - not necessarily a bad thing.
I wasn't at the house, but based on text messages, he spent 3-4 hours working - and, as stated, some work was under the house. Because of that, I. couldn't check out 2 items, but the 2 jobs that were above ground looked fine.

We hired
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
because we own an older home, and knew that the Goves had done historical restoration work in Old Wethersfield, plus, friends there had recommended them. After talking to
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
, I became convinced that the Goves were the right ones for the job because they would be meticulous about preserving the period style and materials to the extent possible, and they would also be scrupulous about making sure all the work was up to code.

Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
were extremely conscientious about supervising and doing the work personally, keeping us informed as to what they were doing, and alerting us to any potential problems that might crop up. It was difficult to coordinate the work of all the subcontractors especially since their respective parts of the job had to be done in a certain order. All of the work was done with admirable precision and care. The plumber was especially good, maybe the best I have ever seen. I especially liked that there was no swearing, no foul talk, no loud radios, no barechested sweaty guys. The entire crew was polite and professional. In fact, I had to spend many days at home preparing lessons and correcting papers, and the work never interfered with my own work, though with just about any other contractor, it would have been a major distraction.
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
is "the civilized contractor."
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was ingenious about finding parts and fixtures that would preserve the period style, such as door knobs, handles, or stops, and molding salvaged from what had been dismantled. I was particularly impressed that when the job was done, and I had trouble with the dryer not venting,
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
came over personally to take a look, even though it was unlikely that his part of the work was at fault; rather, it was almost certainly a problem with the appliance itself, which had been modified by service providers from the department store that sold us the dryer so that it would vent out the side instead of the back. Indeed it was the dryer, but
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
found the problem and showed me how to fix it, even though the appliance itself was not his responsibility, and furthermore he charged me nothing for the visit. It is true that
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
costs a bit more, but in the long run, you will probably save money because the work will not have to be done again, as is often the case with mediocre contractors who are, moreover, often careless about making sure their work is up to code, causing problems later on. But
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was great working with the city inspector, and kept him informed the entire time, so that the final inspection went off without a hitch. The new room is so beautifully done, and so much in conformity with the historical style of the house, that I have trouble remembering what it looked like before the renovation. It is true that the work ended up costing more than originally estimated, but that was because we ourselves made changes three times to the original order, asking additional work to be done. That, and some special circumstances such as delays in delivery of the custom-made double doors on which all the other work depended, did cause the job to take longer than anticipated, but I will gladly trade a few delays to get work done as splendidly as they did it. The Goves truly take pride in the quality of the work they do, and are impatient with sloppy craftsmanship. It is not just carpentry, but art!

I put the job out to bid to 3 contractors.
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
’s was the lowest bid. It was not a fixed bid but time and materials.
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
estimated the labor. He did not use allowances for the fixtures in his estimates instead saying that I should select what I wanted and control that cost. (I liked that as the other contractors' allowances were not transparent.)
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
buys the fixtures using his discount. So together we created the final estimate. He asked that I select all the fixtures and the materials all be ready before he started work so that the project could be as short as possible. The final cost was close to original estimate. Most of the increase came from selection of fixtures. The labor increases were all understandable—some from the tile “matching” process and some from the electrical repairs.

I was introduced to
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
by a decorator that had worked with him for many years. One of the reasons I chose them was the decorator and
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
’s references (which were excellent) said that they would complete the job to my satisfaction.

Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
’s subcontractors were excellent and they were very nice folks. The tile installer was very meticulous and “matched” the grain of the pattern in the tile as I asked him. Everyone came as scheduled. The work proceeded straight through until we hit a snag with the granite. The granite guy cut the granite without allowing us to
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
a template.
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
found a new granite supplier within 2 days and we started over on the granite at no extra cost to me. If we had not had this interruption the work would have been completed in about 4 weeks.

All workers came when they were scheduled. Since I work from home they honored my request to be quiet. Dropcloths were put down to cover the floors to the bathroom and each day they were taken up and the path was swept clean. In the entire project I never heard one curse word from anyone.

Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was very likeable and easy to work with. When there were choices or problems he would explain my options and the costs so I could make an informed choice. He is also very kind and honest and said he worked with subs that he could trust to be in your home.

I would highly recommend working with
Wakefield Carpenters Provider Name Locked
’s Carpentry for a renovation. This was my first renovation and the project went very smoothly.
