1. Have been in contact with provider since purchasing the Deal on 28 May. 2. Had delayed the start of service due some scheduling issues on my part. 3. When contacted today to start service next week as was our initial agreement, I got a message indicating that due to staffing issues, he could not perform either this deal or a deal provided by another organization. 4. Contacted Angies List and due to their 30 day refund policy, they would only provide another Deal of equivalent value. I consider this totally unacceptable if the vendor is the one that reneges on the Deal. I will be cancelling my membership with Angies List in the near future.

For example, we called him on a Thursday to check his availability to come out. He said he was busy all weekend but he could come out on Monday. Rather than agreeing on a time, he told us to call him after 3 PM on Monday to see if he was available. We thought this was odd, but we did as instructed and called him at 3 PM on Monday. He said he was planning on coming out at 3 PM; we were both at work so we told him the earliest we could do was 5 PM. He got upset, gave us his gruff attitude and told my wife he was "through with us" and then abruptly hung up on her. After that experience, I called him a week in advance to come out at 4 PM on a Friday. I marked it in my calendar (I live by my calendar). On Friday, he called us up at 3 PM and said he was coming over. We reminded him that our appointment was at 4 PM and once again, he got upset and said "I'm through with you guys" and abruptly hung up on us.
I don't doubt that

HOw did it go, not very well. We should have done this review 2 years ago, but I am reminded to do it today as our pool heater is being replaced by another pool service company. I hate to do negative reviews, but the facts are the facts. We hired

Pools to do a pool inspection prior to purchasing our house in 2012. 3 complaints:
1 They never even looked at the diving board. Turns out upon having our pool cleaned after the purcdhase, the diving board was completely cracked and warped, unusable and dangerous. We called Angies Pools, their response was giving us a minute disount on a new board. We ended up buying the diving board online.
2 Our pool pump never even made it through the next summer and had to be replaced, $575 dollars.
3 Our heater is being replaced, lasted one summer, $2000.
In fairness, when doing the inspection the service man told us heaters and pool pumps are difficult to project longevity. To us, the diving board is inexcusable and the lack of owning up to completely missing it and taking care of us was very disappointing.

a long time ago. This spring through no fault of theirs it sprouted a significant leak. The first guy to come out explained that it can be hard to tell where leaks are from, but that there was one obvious one and he would replace that part and see what happened. That made sense to me so we went ahead. Not surprisingly, after he left and we filled spa, there was another leak. This time they came out, looked at it, went home, ordered another part, came out, replaced it, and left (on this visit they didn't have the tools they needed, my boyfriend was home and got them for him from his own toolkit).
When I filled it...a leak. They hadn't even stuck around to check.
So at the 6th visit (because there was a visit after the 2nd guy left, to determine the source of the leak--oh yeah, I forgot, at that call they left and said they would come back the same day with the part...only they never called and never came...when I finally called at 8 at night they said they had to order the part. Would have been nice to let me know. ..I'm mad about that one, I on't think I should have had to have another service call, I don't feel he should have left without checknig for leaks), the guy promised me that he had checked thoroughly and there was no leak.
I went upstairs, turned on jets...and a fine spray emitted through two of the connecting parts.
I called, they said they would send some one out the next day, I waited and waited and called twice, and when I finally got through...oh, sorry, can't make it today, but we will definitely come tomorrow.
So I totally get that a leak is hard to fix, and I totally get that it is much more satisfying to sell a new spa then fix an old one. And I will say that everyone who came out was very pleasant, and they always call me 20 minutes before arrival so I can either run home or be sure some one is home. The scheduling folks at the office are pleasant and efficient.
My issue is that not one person has been professional enough to actually fix the problem. In my world if there is a leak, when you are finished you stop and check to see if it has been fixed. EVery time they leave and leave me with a leak I have to pay for another service call to come see what the problem is (that'll be three so far this year) and I have to wait two weeks for ordered parts and then a new appointment.
They aren't terrible. They just don't care. .
I'll use them again because they are what is available. If they read this review and fire me as a customer, I'll use some one else.
If you do read it, guys, really, a little professionalism would go a long way. It was kind of a last straw that no one could be bothered to call and tell me that you were a no show for today, after two different people promised that you would be back. To look at the leak. That was clearly present when you left last night, only you didn't look for it.
