Once again we hired
because of the excellent job he did in the past for us. This time around we had him paint our exterior entry doors, basement windows and power washed our home. Our home is 2 levels and white and was very very dirty and had stains that we never thought would come out.
power washed the entire home's vinyl and our porch and my home looks like its brand new!!! He has done unbeleivealbe work for us in the past and now once again he has done a great job!!

My next-door neighbor had her house painted a few years ago, and not only did they do a great job, but it still looks as good as it did the day they finished. When I found out that she used Residential, I didn't get any other estimates because I was so impressed with their work.
warned me that he wasn't the cheapest guy around, but his original estimate was lower than what we'd budgeted. In the end, with all the extra work that needed to be done, we spent around what we had planned to in the first place.

and his team did an amazing job. The house was in pretty bad shape, apparently because the previous owner had another painter spray paint over already mildewy wood, and after the icy winter, you could peel big chunks of paint off with your hands. As they went along they found out that the damage was much more extensive that
had originally thought, but he kept us informed of what he was finding and how much fixing it would increase his original estimate. He even did his best to keep the costs low by using colors he had on hand for the deck and door (after getting our approval), and using our own supplies, like drywall screws, whenever possible.
's carpenter is incredible. We have pillars on our front porch that had been rotting away for years, and birds had nested in the vent holes until we covered them up after we bought the house in 2007.
, the carpenter, managed to completely rebuild one of the pillars and fix the others better than we thought anyone could.

's crew was very professional and respectful of us and our neighbors. Aside from a few tiny paint chips here and there, you'd never even know a paint crew spent a week working on our house. They were there by 7 each morning (sometimes earlier) and done by 3.

As I already told
, he's the only painter we'll ever use, and the only one we'll ever recommend.

The entire crew was great. Polite, prompt, helpful, friendly. Our puppy chewed through an extension cord(luckily unplugged)and they were understanding about it. They went well beyond the agreed upon scope of the job to fix several problems they discovered. They only considered the job done when we were fully satisfied. The cost of the job was considerably lower than other estimates and they were very fair when pricing some extra work that needed to be done.

I called Herb on a Tuesday, he came around the next day to assess the work. The following day he returned with a list of the work to be done and a price. He started work the next Monday and completed most of it by Tuesday. We had to wait until the following week for the new shed doors to arrive. Herb returned on Wednesday and completed the job. Herb and his partner are very courteous and professional. They always call before they arrive to do any work. They clean up after themselves and take away unwanted debris. A very good experience all round. We had asked Herb to quote us on another project.

The quote process was pleasant and free. The rep came to the house, listened to our concerns, walked around the house with us and wrote up the quote for $7500 on the spot. We decided to go with
Cumberland Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
because they are a nation wide company and we figured that we would have a at least some recourse if something went wrong. This was the single best thing we did, because we sure needed them to honor their one year warranty on the workmanship. Scraping was horrible. They finished scraping and priming my entire house in one day. They did not do the butts of the shingles at all and the scrapings ended up sticking under the prime coat. This was fixed with an additional 2 days of scraping. Painting was sloppy and incomplete. My 40-year old light fixtures had paint on them. They charged an extra $800 for a second coat of paint on the trim because they did not prime (dark blue to white and no primer?). They did not caulk as agreed. Smoking on the job. There is a lot more too but no space left.

went over the job with his painters who showed up ready to work. After the job was complete, we went over a couple trouble spots and he sent a couple guys back to address my concerns. We were under some construction at the time, so a second trip to finish up was to be expected. The cost of the job was the same as the quote which is always a good thing. I have had many compliments on the finished paint job since it was done.

We were looking for quotes on both painting and siding for our house, which, after years of neglect by the previous owner was in desperate need of a paint job or vinyl.
Cumberland Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
was very professional and knowledgeable, and explained some of the problems associated with our particular situation, which included massive peeling and potential lead paint issues (house was built in the 50s). He clearly told us what was required, and given the labor involved we felt his quote was fair. We eventually decided painting again wasn't the way to go given the expense, but that was no reflection on this company.

After a bad start from our original choice of painter, our house had only been power washed.

Walker was referred to us by a neighbor who had recently used him. From estimate to completion, the whole process to just six days.

had been in the area for our neighbor and had a

to take a look at our house. He provided a reasonable estimate and was able to schedule us in. He had originally estimated about 3 days to complete the job, but worked so hard to beat a storm (Sandy) that was threatening the area. The whole project took 2 days to complete.
When the starting day arrived, he arrived with an armada of crew members who were very dedicated in their work. We had recently had a new garden planted, and they were sure to be careful of the new shrubs. Other than a couple splashes of paint on the lawn, they were immaculate.
Our color choice was perfectly matched.

was able to use his brand of paint with a color choice from a home improvement store by just giving him the numbers of the color.
Upon final inspection, nothing was missed. The house had a fresh crisp look to it. The texture of the wood siding was still nicely visible.

After contacting
Cumberland Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
on approximately 7/1. He promptly visited us and provided an estimate. Approximately 7/15 we agreed to use him. Then followed several delays coupled with the assurance he would squeeze us in before the end of the year.
He did schedule us for the power wash and showed up to do it. By this time it was mid October.
Shortly after that, he apparently had hurt his ankle and notified us would not be able to fit us in this year.
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on the injury, but there were so many repeated delays prior to this. His emails would be very confident that we were only a few days from starting. I would therefore NOT recommend his services.
