"Estimate was competitive, and owner was very responsive and easy to work with. He dealt with multiple updates to the design and other decisions," and was flexible right up to the date of installation. Crew was on site right on time every day - and start to finish, was done in three and a half days. I added elements to the original bid, and the upcharges were reasonable, and reviewed with me prior to installation. also offered advice that saved me money, and added to the value of the job. I pointed out a cosmetic issue on the stamped concrete, and sent back a team member after day was over to fix the issue - and the fix is invisible.

"Unfortunately, when there were problems, was unavailable. At first, within a month of the initial installation in January, 2015, it was" clear that there was insufficient sealant on one quadrant, because the color literally washed away in the rain. This didn't seem like a big problem, because told me on the phone that he was in Mexico, but when he returned, he would come right over and resolve the problem. He never came over and that January was the last time I talked him. In October, we remodeled a bathroom, and unfortunately, there were leaky trucks on our driveway. The oil stains are unsightly and the bathroom contractor wanted to resolve the problem. He asked me to contact the driveway contractor to find out what would take the oil stains out without taking the color out. I called repeatedly and eventually, I contacted him. He was in Mexico; he said he would come over when he got back. He came over and promised to return to power wash the texture coat and apply new sealant. When the work was originally done in January, he said it would be necessary to reseal once a year, so in mid-November, it was actually almost time for new sealant! He water blasted the driveway, which took out most of the stains. Then he came back the next day and put on two coats of sealant. He told me there was no charge, but we insisted in paying him, as he did the work and applied the materials. Once again, the driveway looks beautiful. Would we do this again? No, because it doesn't last, no matter who does the work and how responsive they are. Very very expensive coating that cracks and stains. I've seen it done by other companies; it's the nature of the process. 2015

Generally about $1-3/SF (note - measured by SF, not SY) - $1 range is for a 1 to 1/2-2 inch overlay, $2.50-3.00 range normal for two 2" layers for a new driveway or a rebuild (remove and replace) you really want to last.

Most people pay around $2/SF for a 2-3" thickness.

If the state requires a contractor's license, then he needs to have a license in each state he intends to work in - plus state/local business licenses as applicable.

This does not mean there are not a lot of contractors who cross state lines without proper licensing - the penalties in may cases are not real severe and are just a fine, not criminal, so many take the chance.

As you say - argh  - many contractors are not really businessmen and have zero legal education, so many people get burned.

Concrete Driveway Installation reviews in Central Falls

I booked in September. They told me they would call the night before they were going to come. I called them about 4 times, each time was assured that they would get the job done before winter. They did offer one date, the day before Halloween, but I could not have them come then because there would be hudreds of children to keep ...More off the driveway the next day! On Friday, November 13 they called me and said the season is over and they weren't coming. Now my driveway will be in terrible disrepair from the winter, and I cannot find another company as it is too late. When I posted this experience on a Mom's board in my town two people told em they did the same thing to them. It seems that they are purposely over booking and then leaving people in the lurch when it is too late to hire another company.

This company came in mid August 2015 to do my asphalt driveway. My husband had done a lot of the work already by digging down over 1 foot of dirt. The person we spoke to promised that it would be a 1 day job. He claimed that he was a relative (I believe he said ) of the owner. The son of ...More (Rich) came and started the job. Apparently, this guy Rich also owns a company called R . First thing in the morning there were issues. The company got fined by my town because they dumped a truck of dirt in the street blocking traffic. Police had to come and handle the situation. They DID NOT finish the job as promised that same day. We only paid part of the money and agreed that the remaining balance would be paid when they finish the job. However, they said that they were not able to schedule a date for them to return and that they would contact us to schedule. My husband waited and finally decided to start calling them in mid September. At first, they kept saying that they would call us back but they never did so my husband kept calling and then eventually NO ONE EVER PICKED UP AGAIN. They DO NOT return calls or voicemails. The owner called one time after my husband left a voicemail threatening to call our lawyer and promised that someone would call in a week and to contact him directly if they didn't. Well, guess what? No one called and never answered or called back. I went to the address on their contract. There is no one there and the building is locked. It looked like it was just a place to park their trucks. I looked through some windows and the place looked abandoned on the inside. My husband called the numbers on the trucks that were parked in the lot. One of tehm is R which is owned by Rich teh son who came to our house. The other is WB paving and when we called we found out that it is owned by 's brother. But of course, he said he has nothing to do with anything because he is a separate company. BEWARE of these 3 companies, They are are unprofessional and fraudulent. My husband has already contacted our lawyer but I want everyone to stay away from them!

I purchased the deal, but was unable to use it. The owner was a tremendous help. He was able to guide me in a better direction on how to go about getting the type of work I needed done and he was very knowledgeable.
- Louise J.

They were not able to level the driveway as what they quoted. In the process of trying to do so they cracked the driveway in a few places. They also leaked hydraulic fluid all over my driveway. When I brought up my concern, the owner was supposed to call me back and never did so.
- Heather W.

Crew arrived on time on the assigned date. Work was performed quickly and with no delays. 4 days total of work. Minimal inconvenience. I was surprised at how quickly they got the work done and how organized the team was.

I met with 6 different concrete companies before I decided to go with
. was one of the better prices, but not the lowest.
I felt I paid a great price for the work they did. I decided to go
with them because they seemed to have thorough knowledge of how to do
concrete properly. ...More The scope of my job was to remove existing patio
slab, new slab in place of, extend my deck on both sides and
deck entire deck. Some contractors didn't want to use rebar because
it's not required by code. But put the bid together without
me having to ask for them to use rebar. Ulises is one of the owners.
He is the one that originally met with me to go over work, he provided
the bid and he was part of his crew doing the actual work.
Look at
my pictures to see the process. They removed the cracked slab,
compacted the subsurface, put in a 2" Type 2 substrate, hydrated the
substrate, put in #4 rebar, poured new slab, and after a month of curing
they did a deck to the entire area. I had existing concrete that
they did not remove. When it came time to Deck the concrete, they
power washed the entire concrete and applied the deck, and painted
the entire deck, including the existing deck. The pictures I have
really don't do it justice. They did an excellent job.
brothers really understand the proper way of doing concrete. If you are
getting bids, meet with them. Make sure whomever you go with puts
rebar in your slab, regardless of the size of the slab. They're crew
did a good job of cleaning up after themselves. I didn't notice anyone
smoking or drinking alcohol on the job. A very professional operation.

I also deal with customers for the living and demanding ones has patients knows how job best done right the first time ...More I Am very happy thank you for th great job and I'll see you after the winter for the pawer job Please use this guy great job done right for the right price
