"I completed request form and details of what I wanted. I received one message promising I would be contacted within 24 hours. I still have not received any follow" up. i wanted to have a quote for engineered hardwood approximately 1000 square feet.

"We had a great experience with Empire. It was as good as their commercials promise. We had an appointment with their salesman on Friday afternoon and had new carpet" on our stairs before noon on Saturday. Both the salesman and the installer were prompt and professional. We appreciated the fact that the salesman assured us that we would be perfectly happy with the less expensive of the two carpets we were considering. Their price was within the range quoted to us by another company that would have taken 2 to 3 weeks to install it. I will happily use Empire again the next time we need carpet.

How to Choose the Right Carpet for Your Home

One highly rated provider shares important considerations homeowners should make when choosing the carpet for various rooms in their home.

Carpet and rugs

Wood or tile floors are good in some rooms, but most homeowners prefer to install carpeting in living rooms and family rooms, especially when children are small. Here are tips on the types of carpeting available and how to pick the right one for your home.

Most  reputable carpet stores should be able to help you, they know what is available. and should be able to find a good carpet for a good price. sometlmes they will buy overruns that are a good value. Also,   make sure they do use a power-streacher when they install the carpet! Pat All Carpet Repair

Carpet with pad purchase cost $10-20 for really economy cheap stuff, $20-30 for normal brands, and $30-50/SY (square yard) for high-end carpet, to $100 or more for custom or gold thread and such.

Installation cost does not change much depending on what varpet is installed - generally about $10-20/SY.

So, for normal medium-range carpet I would assume $30-50/SY.

Carpet Installation reviews in Wilkes Barre

The person we actually had contact with gave me the name of the contact person who was to arrange to see the property, but he never called. I called again, and received no call back from the person who was supposed to call. The third time, I was told that they were very busy and that the contact person probably wouldn't call right away because there was some sort of "tax free" purchase day in
Wilkes Barre Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
. He might call after the 26th, if we were still interested. The person we spoke with said he couldn't help because he was going on vacation. The day that "

"? was to call, maybe, he didn't call. The third time I received no call from the supposed estimator for

's. Very disappointing.

We worked with
Wilkes Barre Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
Wilkes Barre Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
and he was very prompt and responsive with helping us pick out the flooring, coming to the house and taking measurements, and providing a quote.
Wilkes Barre Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
subs out all their work and his subcontractors did very good work. We had Alterna tile installed in the kitchen and prefinished hardwood through out the rest of the main level. Ultimately we were happy with the work and the final product, but a couple things occurred that will have me at least consider alternative places to take my business in the future:
Wilkes Barre Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
came to our house on a Saturday to take measurements. He told me that he was leaving the next day for a 1 week cruise, but he would get me a quote the very next day before he left. I told him not to worry about it and just get me the quote when he came back from vacation, but he insisted he would get me the quote, which he did. We agreed on the price and all of the details were included in the quote, as we discussed. A few weeks later when we were scheduling the work to be done,
Wilkes Barre Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
mentioned that he had messed up and although we agreed the foyer would be included in the work, he forgot to include the quantity in his quote. He then went on to make a big deal about how it was a $1,600 mistake, but he would honor the price, etc. The whole conversation bothered me a bit and struck me as unprofessional as I felt he was expecting me to offer to compensate him for his mistake. 2. His hardwood contractor did the work over a 2 day period. After they installed the portion on the first day me and my wife noted that at least two of the new boards had gouges (not scratched, but gouges) in them. When he showed up at the house the next day I pointed them out and he apologized and was actually upset at himself for not seeing them himself. He replaced those boards without a problem and apparently then looked over the rest of the work as well. Later in the day I got a text from
Wilkes Barre Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
which basically told me that we had to be careful and that his guy had to swap out 14 boards. I immediately called
Wilkes Barre Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
to talk to him and again he told me that they had found 14 boards that were muffed and accused us of causing the damage. I informed him we had in fact moved no furniture and had not even spent time in the rooms where the work was done that night. When it came time to make the final payment he made a big deal to me about how his guy charged him an extra $350 because of having to swap the boards out and how I needed to help him absorb that cost because between that, and the estimating mistake, he was not going to make any money on this job. I again told him that I was not prepared to give him any additional compensation as the work was not done to our satisfaction initially and had to be made right. He grumbled some more about it and then that was the end of it. Again, this whole exchange really bothered me. At the end of the day, as I said, the work was done well, and on time, and the price was good (apparently part of that is because he had misquoted me, in my favor.) The somewhat unprofessional exchanges noted above though leave me very hesitant to use
Wilkes Barre Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
for any future flooring work.

Wilkes Barre Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
showed up promptly at my home at the specified time. He was friendly. He took a look at the damaged carpet area and gave me a free quote on the work. The price was reasonable for the size of the damage. He was also able to remove some carpet far back in one of my closets in order to replace the damaged area, since I did not have any extra loose carpet, which worked out great. I was shocked at how seamless the repaired area looked! It blended right in with the carpet around it, and I don't know if I would be able to even tell if I didn't know there was a repair done. I am very happy with the repair and price, and will hire
Wilkes Barre Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
again for any carpet repair needs.

I have a small 1000 sq ft house and wanted whole house carpet. The price was fine, the installer came on time. Since then I have seams showing, The installer left something underneath the bedroom carpet. I will not use
Wilkes Barre Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
for carpeting again.

This was my first review-

I talked with the main guy at headquarters. Scheduling was very easy and I was optimistic. The day of the appointment the repairman called and said he needed to reschedule to the following week. I was frustrated because I had readied the area (my toddler's room) ahead of time but rescheduled for the following week, same time. He called again, day of appointment 3.5 hrs ahead of time saying he was in the area and ready. I explained that my appointment was made at a specific time because my daughter sleeps in there. And she was asleep. He cancelled the appointment. Entirely. I called headquarters and they basically said there was nothing they could do and didn't seem to care. So, two weeks in a row, no showing while I rearrange my day and furniture. Would NOT Reccomend.

Soon after I posted that review (and before anyone saw it), I was contacted by another member of the main office. She was extremely apologetic and professional and let me know that the installer could be there within an hour, which worked for me (only an hour earlier than the original appt time). He was very professional and friendly (despite having very recently been raked over the coals on my behalf).
It took him far longer than his original estimate of 1-2 hours- a total of four hours. But he was willing to retrieve my remnants from garage storage himself, replace a chest of drawers rant had been moved for the job and remarkably tidy. Without the prior snafu they would have received an A.

The installers were friendly, professional and cleaned up after themselves.
Wilkes Barre Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
was the best choice for our project.

The entire process from purchase to install was our best experience ever when dealing with the purchase and installation of carpets. The owner,
Wilkes Barre Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
, has been in the business for a long time and was able to provide us with excellent materials and workmanship. The installers,
Wilkes Barre Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
Wilkes Barre Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
were unbelievable. They moved our furniture, of which we paid a nominal fee for but they were extremely professional, quick and gentle with the large items. There were very bad animal smells on the old carpet, pad and floor that required extreme measures to insure they would not be there when the new carpet was laid. They told us the best material that would take away the smell, We purchased the
Wilkes Barre Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
of Kilz and they painted the floor and after it dried the smell was completely gone.
The installers insured everything was exactly the way it was before they started.
Their efficiency, professionalism and helpfulness is not often seen in small businesses but they were the best. When we purchase more carpets for the other rooms in our condo we will go back to
Wilkes Barre Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
in a heart beat.
