"Mr. Meilvaine called ahead of our scheduled appointment to apologize that his previous appointment had taken longer than expected. Since he had to travel in afternoon" traffic from Wisconsin to our home on Chicago's south side, he'd be significantly later than planned but was willing to come if workable for me. We rescheduled for later that afternoon. He arrived at the projected time. Mr. Meilvaine did an outstanding job. That he’d already had a long day and still faced the trip back to
, WI neither compromised the time he invested in our clock nor his very patient, professional manner. He meticulously examined the clock as he removed, cleaned, and oiled the parts. In reassembling the clock, he carefully made adjustments, checked and rechecked to ensure that everything was working properly. Mr. Meilvaine restored our clock to excellent functioning order. In addition, as he worked he showed me how various parts of the clock work, explained basic troubleshooting tips we could employ if needed, and shared fascinating historical information about clocks. I certainly highly recommend Mr. Meilvaine.

"We inherited an older grandfather clock from my mother. The chimes never worked correctly and it eventually stopped running all together. I called to ask about" pickup and delivery costs and decided to take it to the shop myself.
checked it out and estimated $300 to repair it. Two months and 2 or 3 phone calls later he toldl me it would be another $60 and it would be ready next week. Two weeks and another phone message to the shop resulted in a call back that it was ready to pick up. I got it home and was running perfectly but the chimes were still not right. I called the shop and was told that
was out doing house calls and they would let him know. He did come by that same day, made a couple of adjustments and it's now as good as new. It is a two man operation and they are very busy. If you are not in a big hurry, you should be satisfied with the quality of their work.

Clock Repair reviews in Washington

They called the day the day before to confirm the appointment and also called on their way to our home to say they would be arriving earlier than planned. They inspected the clock and were able to fix it in our home.

was very professional and skilled with clock repair. He came to my house the same day I called him to look at a completely broken cuckoo clock. As he looked at it, he realized that the clock had bent sprockets. He could have sold us an expensive sprocket job and told us the clock would only work with new ones. Instead, he restored it to full operations, oiled it, and taught me some maintenance tricks to keep it running properly. His rate was reasonable and he seemed honest. I would call him again to repair clocks again.

came out to examine clock and we paid $95.00 for the service call. He said a more thorough job could be done if he took the clock back to his shop. He could fix it so that second hand would also work. He kept the clock for weeks and finally returned it on

First of all no one wants to come to your house to fix a clock. But Mr.

was of the old-school and came to see what he could he could do on the premises. Unfortunately he had to take the insides of the grandmother's clock and the entire very heavy and ornate Black Forest German clock with him. He fixed them. and hopefully the will run a few more years.

is honest, professional and knowledgeable about old and antique clocks. He responded to my concern over the phone and said he thought it wasn't a spring but would have a look at the clock. He was sure it could be fixed. I was sure the clock had finally broken beyond repair. He had me bring the clock to his home where he did all the repair work and checked it out thoroughly. He is honest and capable and knows his stuff. Said he comes from a long line of clock repairmen.
