"He was very reasonable. I had a dining room set that was bought about 1931, and he redid it magnificently, and it's gorgeous. He also did a hutch from that" time period, as well as bedroom furniture, and various other pieces. He's a perfect gentlemen and a lovely man to deal with. He's refinished almost all of the furniture in my house, including reupholstering the couch, recliner, and two desk chairs.

"
, the company's owner, was prompt and detailed in creating a plan of sales that would maximize our opportunity to sell an extremely" large inventory of prints without flooding the
. He was patient in explaining his strategy which made sense to us. The auctions are still ongoing. When we expressed concerns about the overall pace as well as the storage conditions for our prints, he personally intervened with the auctioneer in charge and was able to assure us that our inventory was being properly stored in the interim and that it would continue to receive priority attention. This entire process has been difficult for us as we are long-distance and have had to rely on others in our absence over an extended period of time. So far we have been dealing with Mr.
for more than a year. We appreciate his attention to detail and the way he has been responsive to all of our questions, as our situation is certainly out of the norm for both ourselves and his general business practice. He came highly recommended by a longtime friend in the area.

Antique collecting is one of the most popular leisure activities in the United States. Due to their intrinsic value, antiquated items are either collected for investment and profit-making purposes or as display pieces, prized as heirlooms.

A key to enjoy your art or antique collecting hobby is to find items that excite you as opposed to collecting for strictly financial upside, says Buxton. (Photo courtesy of Angie's List member Carol V. of Orlando, Fla.)

Hi, benterrific.

Keep checking around at the auction houses and antique dealers. There are a few in your area that are highly rated. The bigger auction houses should have qualified appraisers. You might also check with your local art museum or fine art gallery. Just like we recommend for big home repair projects, shop around to get the best price.

I found out the hard way in the military that it depends on the product. Some silver polishes will turn brass and copper black with instant tarnish and etch them, so check the label. Some types can be used for any soft metal, some not. I suspect it depends on the pH of the product, or whether it has aommonia in it. And of course if you do decide to try it, do the center bottom (where it sits on the table) first so you can see if it is causing problems.

Brasso is probably the top name in the industry - they make both liquid and treated cloth polishing products both for specific metals, and general polishing ones.

?
I would ask local antique shops and art stores (ones selling art and frames, not galleries) if they repair antiques, AND for references, so the repair does not decrease its value unecessarily. In many cases the old frame is worth more than the painting !

You could also ask local art museums who they use to repair/rehab frames, if they do not do it themselves.

We will NEVER return to this store again. This was my third time in there and each time there, the owners were very rude to not only us, but other customers in the store waiting to be helped.
This last time, both the owners were informed that we did not appreciate being treated so rudely just because we came in an hour before closing. They rudely informed us of the fact and bluntly asked us if we intended to buy anything or just browse!! Then they rudely told us they do not want anyone using a credit card unless they intend on spending more than $15 dollars. I was stunned and disgusted by all of this within 10 minutes of entering this establishment.
I was trying to purchase a silver dollar coin to which after I asked why we were being treated so terribly, the owner refused to complete my transaction after wasting our time lecturing to us all of the above out of the blue for no reason. She smiled nastily refusing my purchase after agreeing to make an exception earlier, when I told her I did not have cash on hand.
I informed her that I recognized her from the last two times in years prior I had come to this store. That she had also been rude back then and to other customers. An elderly couple had left after being snapped at for asking assistance in having a display case opened.
There are also other reviews about these owners and their establishment describing similar treatment and attitudes like we experienced. It was shocking to say the least, and I only had returned after a long time because my friend had never been to an antique store.
It is apparent both these women dislike working with the public and their people skills are horrific. As well, the younger but older looking woman behind the counter who was the worst out of the two, was eating a messy pizza with her mouth full while informing us all of her stringent rules and such. Also, she had a white pit bull behind the counter who jumped up towards me onto the counter which was unseen on the floor behind the counter. A very scary and unprofessional situation overall.
We left quickly after the other much older owner began to rant at us for asking who managed the store. We were boldly informed that they both owned it which was just unbelievable.
After we left, I called to get their names to report them to the Better Business Bureau and make a report about the dog being allowed to jump up at us behind the counter. They hung up on me. I was not surprised by them.
no longer one day in business giving the community negative interactions and experiences for no reason other than to get off from it.
Please read other reviews that confirm other people have had mistreatment by this establishment as well. Its a shame because the store itself was really neat.
Thank you for reading this. I hope it spares you from the upheaval and stress we endured and experienced by these two women.

As I was not going to be in Florida to pick up a check if the items sold, I provided self addressed, stamped envelopes for them to mail the check to me as they requested. They lost the envelopes, then voided my check when I didn't pick up in 30 days. I had called several times to see if they had a check for me and got a different story every time. I had to retain an attorney to get my money out of them. The attorney cost me more than the money due me, but I made my point. I think they do this often as they know most people won't spend the money for legal fees. Well SURPRISE - I did! I will never step foot in their store again. Very unethical business in my opinion.

The provider took all the materials for sale and either auctioned them or took them to local providers to sell. She then brought me back about 12,000 after all was said and done. This is after her 30% . She does have a minimum but I don't remember what the minimum payout was at this time. She is very knowledgeable and professional.

He was wonderful. I stopped into his shop for the chair repair. I had to have it done in a certain time frame and he was able to squeeze me in and have it back before we thought it would be done. It was absolutely perfect and we had no issues.

Warrington Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
did a wonderful job with helping us with window treatments and transforming our house. We got several quotes for shutters and choose to go with
Warrington Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
because she had the best price for locally made wood shutters and we liked her punctuality and follow up she provided at every step. Shutters took about four weeks to get made and they looked great. At the installation she mentioned about her interior design services and offered to schedule a complimentary consultation to improve our living and dining rooms. We have never worked with a designer before and were not ready to work on the rest of the space at that time, but promised to touch base with her closer to the Holidays. We contacted her again in October and scheduled the design consultation for Saturday morning when both of us were home. Since she had already seen our space she had a lot of great ideas: repainting both rooms, adding accessories, new rug and reupholstering the dining room cushions.

took some pictures and asked questions about the look we wanted to create. We really didn't know how to answer that question since all we cared about was updated and inviting space for our friends. She showed us some images of different styles and we settled on more "transitional" style. On our next appointment she presented the paint colors for both rooms and images of lamps, rugs, artwork, fabric for the chairs. I loved the rug she presented, everything looked very nice and was within our budget. Ordering process was easy and fast, we painted our rooms while waiting for accessories to arrive. Chairs were reupholstered by the workroom

uses for her projects. Overall the experience was very pleasant and both projects went without any hiccups. We love our living and dining rooms, our friends were impressed by the transformation too. Both rooms look inviting, comfortable and complete.

Wow, wow, wow! This company is the best! The chairs are beautifully sewn and the patterns perfectly centered and the chairs are meticulously matched. I can't believe the precision and the workmanship. The work was completed two weeks ahead of the estimate. What company does that? Check these people out when you need something reupholstered. They completely reworked the batting, the straps, the lining underneath, and even restained the legs.
