Durran responded quickly and gave a free estimate. The other contractors who gave estimates said that simply taping the joint between the new ceiling and wall would be OK. Durran explained why just taping might not work as well as adding molding. He and his helper were extremely conscientious about cleaning up after every phase of the job. I would not hesitate to recommend him. I will certainly contact him if I er need additional work.

We are extremely pleased with our experience with
and plan to use their services again in the very near future as we continue to update and improve our townhouse. We set ourselves a budget for this project, and
and our contractor
really listened to our priorities and concerns, and worked with us to meet our budgetary goals and other requirements. In one very small bathroom, we wanted to add some storage capacity but thought we might not be able to do so because of some plumbing peculiarities and space limitations.
was able to provide a creative, attractive, and economical solution to this problem. The work was completed on time, and
and his workers were attentive, courteous, and very easy to work with, including
and his assistant who did electrical work in our attic crawl space on a day when the temperatures were close to 95 degrees. During the course of the project,
called a number of times to see if there were any problems and it was a pleasure to be able to say no. The bottom line is that our new bathrooms not only met our expectations, but actually look better than we would have thought possible for the money that we were willing to spend, and we would certainly recommend
to other prospective customers.

had done some major work on the house before I listed it, so I had no problem calling him about this project. As usual,

came through in the clutch and found a licensed plumber to do the work, on time and up to code.

has been my go-to guy twice in the last 6 months, and he got the job done on time and at the quoted price. Although I live 1,000 miles away, he was great at keeping me up-to-date with phone calls and e-mails. He is an A+ contractor that I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone who asks.

There were pro's and con's the pros were they did special order and nice four piece surround bathtub they were very accommodating with changes, I did add some things to the contract which they had no problem doing. With all the drywall work they did a decent job with containing the dust. Now for the con's when we first tried using the new tub we found the one back panel is not secure and has movement with little pressure I called
Reading Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and still have not heard back from them reading the reviews on other websites I

?t think I will hear back from them again. I just found out yesterday when I was suppose to have my ceramic tile installed
Reading Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
Constuction did not install the rockboard properly they did not mud the plywood to the rockboard which caused it to flex. So I had to have all the rockboard removed and installed correctly. I found some sloppy drywall work while they were still here they did fix it unfortunately I found some more bad drywall work downstairs after they left that needs to be fixed a main tape joint wasnt sanded they cant tell me no one saw it and light wasnt an issue they came in with two spot lights I paid these people two thousand dollars to re drywall my ceiling and they did a half a** job. I had the same problem in the bathroom they fixed the spacal but when they repainted they did not reapply even coats and there are light spots in the paint which I now have to fix. My biggest problem with them is that you have to go over EVERYTHING they do or they will half a** slap it together. If you hire them babysit them or you will be sorry.

We had used their services before. They are cautious and efficient and do the work in a timely manner. Their prices are good and the estimate was right on. We are pleased with the quality of work that they do.

On day one I met with the contractor at the job site on May 21 and discussed what needed to be done. The contract stated that 1/2 of the contract price was to be paid at the start and the balance to be paid upon completion. I gave Mr
Reading Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
$800.00, he did the demolition work, put all of the trash on the patio, disconnected the water and drains from the bathroom and left. That was the last time I saw him. Repeated calls resulted in him returning my call and telling me he took a job for a friend and would get back to my project when he was finished in about 2 weeks. All this time I have no bathroom! It is now June 6. I fired him and got a new contractor.

I am pleased that my bath rooms are much nicer than before the project. I was disappointed with the way it was completed. I asked as the onset the approximate time frame and I was told two weeks. There were a few change orders but by their own time estimates it would have been a 3 week project. It took 6 weeks and it ended because I just could not take it anymore. You start with

who I do believe would like things to go well but he subcontracts and then really loses control. The contractor works usually 9-12 or 9-2p. In the six weeks, there were only a couple of days that were complete 8 hour days. Beware of the term contractor grade in the bid. I was told that this was a better grade of product but it was not. I ended up purchasing the majority of the products used and was told that I used very high grade products. My products were just purchased from Lowes and Home depot and were not the "top of the line". Also, there was very little concern over respecting my house. The project was extremely messy--not just construction dirt. I fully expected plenty of dust and dirt but there splattered paint. It is obvious when I clean my "high grade" floor tile, which I do by hand, that a lot of paint was spilled and not completely cleaned up not totally noticeable until I cleaned it the first time. In addition, the tub has two chips, again not noticeable until I cleaned up the mess left behind. My hardwood floors are scratched. The excuse for this was being passed on to a sub-subcontractor plumber. I don't know who did it I just know that it is done. The offer to fix it was to "try" to cover it up. I live in the country and trash removal was a mess. They did not provide the dumpster that they said would happen. The trash was piled up outside the doors and I am still picking up pieces of dry wall, pipe, broken fixes, etc. Be sure to demand the dumpster. I was told it could not be delivered to my house this is not true because I have had large dumpsters in the past. I believe this was a cost cutting on the part of the contractor.
I grade them an overall C based on how bad my bath rooms were and the fact that they are now better. I am just warning you that you need to be aware of the process concerns that I have listed above. The 6 weeks cost me additionally, paying a
Reading Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
to sit with the house the majority of the time since I have limited vacation time and not expecting 6 weeks. It is difficult to take vacation time from work and have them work just 4 hours. I began thinking that this became a money pit. The cost above is not inclusive of all the expenses of this project.
I have waited to write this review to make sure that I am fair in my response. I have given it time and all of the above is a fair "nutshell' evaluation of the project.

An estimator was sent to the house to talk to us about the process and give an overall estimate. Unfortunately he was new, and told us several things that were not correct. So that set the stage for a job that was not done as promised.
The estimator also measured the tub while here. He showed us samples so we could choose our color.
He told us the existing wall would be removed first, and a new wall installed. That right there was a selling point. We wanted new walls. Unfortunately, this was not true. He went over the contract and told us to get the tub at a reduced cost, to initial for the area that said "no slide resistant surface"....because he said that was a moot point....that by law all new tubs must be made slip resistant..
So work began a few days later.
No walls were removed. We asked about this and were told they do not remove the old walls, but simply cover them with new material. Hmmmmm. Disappointed, we said OK, and let them proceed. The tub arrived and did not fit. It could not be cut to size, so we had to wait a few weeks for a new tub to be cast.
The new tub arrived WITHOUT ANY SLID PROOF SURFACE. We did not know this till we got in the tub the next day. A day later the job was done and it looked very professional. So we at that point talked about what to do about the errors. The contractor called and asked if we were happy with the results and we told him it was very pretty, but the job was "not as promised". We also informed Home Depot, who recommended them, to no longer recommend them to people with old bathrooms with "mud walls".
The contractor was very generous with a discount for us, but made us sign an agreement that we would never be able to go back to him with any kind of problem pertaining to the job they did on our bathroom.
All in all it was bitter sweet. Although the bathroom looks nice, it was not done in the way it had been promised...which would have lasted much longer, and we could have learned to remove the remaining walls in the area. But we hired someone else to do that for us.

Another great job by
Reading Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
. We remodeled our entire basement, and although we did some of the work ourselves, he did the major drywall, plumbing, kitchenette installation, and electrical work. He's done a number of jobs for us and always have done a good job at a good price. Would highly recommend him and would be happy to show anyone the jobs he's done at our house. From the basement to the deck, windows, and fencing. The only problem with highly recommending is that now he's so busy I sometime have to wait a few weeks for him to clear his schedule for jobs we have for him.
