"Professional, spotless, and friendly service. The gentleman really knew his job and explained fully what was found. He offered suggestions for needed repairs but I did not feel pressured.

"Had called them out for chimney sweep, he stated I did not need one. Instead I had him rearrange the logs/lava rocks in our gas fireplace (my husband and I had originally set it up" ourselves and we had no idea what were doing) Now our fireplace looks like it did on the showroom floor when I bought the logs.

Fireplaces

Most people enjoy sitting in front of a fire on a cold day, but there are disadvantages to traditional, wood-burning fireplaces. They tend to waste energy, require maintenance and pose some risk. Read this guide to discover several alternatives that provide the same ambiance, but with fewer downsides.

He hasn't legally abandoned the job as long as he is still showing up and doing something, even if it is very little, from time to time.  You'll have to fire him first.  Have documentation that the job is not being done in a timely manner, showing when he has and has not worked.  Be ready for a fight and probably a legal battle since he will likely still want more money or won't refund money paid for incomplete work.

Change the locks and inform the contractor their services on your property are terminated.  Tell him if anyone representing his company enters your property they will be considered trespassing and will be prosecuted.  Then hire another company to check the work he has done to make sure it is right.  Somehow I doubt it is given the nature of his work ethic.  Then have the new contractor repair any bad workmanship and finish the job.  Keep records as any documented things that have to be redone will help your case against the first contractor.

I would recommend finding a good hearth retailer in your area and work with them to select a stove that is right for your home. They should also be able to arrange for certified installer to handle the installation. Keep in mind many areas require a city or county permit for the installation, and it may be wise to have the chimney and fireplace inspected by a certified chimney sweep beforehand.

Superior was great! After I placed my order on Angie's list, they called within a day to set up an appointment. Being summer, they were able to schedule me very quickly. The crew that showed up was fantastic! They were on time, courteous, professional, and did a great job. They explained everything to me, took pictures (before and after), and were very thorough! I would definitely recommend them, and use them again myself.

Pottsville Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
(owner of CCG) was great! From the first time my wife and I met him to get a bid he was extremely professional. We could tell just by the questions he asked, and the notes he was taking that he was very detailed oriented and wanted to make sure he did exactly what we were wanting him to do. After all of our bids came back we decided to go with CCG because they were the only one that actually listened to us and gave us a very detailed and thought out bid. The other bids were missing things we wanted done and they were very vague with the scope of work they would be doing. CCG was also very open with other jobs they had done and let us view their work so we could do our due diligence. Once we started construction
Pottsville Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
was at the job site on a very regular basis, he was always available to answer any questions we had regarding the process (I had a TON!) and the next steps that would be taking place. Whenever we ran into an issue (you always will with a project this size), he was wonderful at involving us in the decision making process, he never just did what he wanted too, he always made sure that we made a educated decision on how to proceed. Whenever I felt like the sub contractors did not do what I we wanted them too, all I had to do was call Brain and he was on it! He got it taken care of fixed extremely efficiently. I called

at least ten times a week when we where in the middle of the heaviest construction and if he didn't answer he always call me back that day. We gave CCG a deadline to get the project finished and they busted their tail to get it done and they DID! A good general contractor is worth their weight in gold, and my wife and I could not be happier with how it all turned out and how CCG made it easy through out the entire process, and recommend them to anyone that needs a general contractor I am actually using CCG for a commercial building that I am building out.

He is very good, but does not carry a cell phone. The only number he has is a LAN line. Communication is poor, due to lack of cell phone. I had to cancel an appointment, and did so the day before. I rescheduled...and called to let him know I would be a little late, but because he couldn't get the message he assumed I was a no show. When I called to reschedule, he refused and said he would get to us when he could. We were established clients. Quality of work is excellent, but ability to reach him during the day is impossible.

The service was good.
Pottsville Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
called me promptly to schedule the service and was in touch again before he arrived at the house. He and his son did an excellent job with a chimney that had probably not been cleaned or serviced in a very long time. He gave me good advice going forward, and showed me photos from the inspection so that I could see what he was seeing from the roof. He did make some recommendations for products, which I opted to defer. He pointed out another Big Deal that he is offering that is related to the recommendations he made and noted on my receipt that he would honor that price if I do the work later. While I felt a little bit like I was being "sold up," the fact that he respected my decision and noted the price on the receipt tells me that there really was no pressure and he is very professional. I will definitely call him again for a future cleaning and if we decide to upgrade the chimney cap. He also recommended two masons for the chimney crown work we need and explained the difference between the services each of them offers. At the end of the service, I was left feeling informed, confident, and able to move forward if we decide to do any further improvements.

The service manager at
Pottsville Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
went out of her way to
rectify the situation. They really value their company and the quality
and services they provide. I was very pleased with the solution to our
situation. So much so that I would now recommend them to anyone looking
for these types of services. The techs were very friendly and
professional, and cleaned up after themselves when done.

Arrived a bit later than the expected time, but did a great job when they got here. They were quick and friendly and did a nice job, we are happy we can use our fireplace now! The only negative comment I have is that they didn't wear booties, just walked on our beige carpet with their work boots on as they went in and out and back into our house. They didn't get any charcoal on the carpet though, so all turned out well. They also seemed very knowledgable and offered good answers to any questions we had.
