Hook and
did an AMAZING job. My ceilings look fabulous and I can't believe how removing the swirls completely changes the look of the rooms I was impressed when I initially spoke with
. He called me back within 24 hours of my first call. When he came for the estimate, he took the time to explain everything thoroughly and was a true professional. I was not here when the job was done and anticipated coming home to a house full of dust. The exact opposite happened. The house was SO clean and I truly didn't need to vacuum or clean up one bit! Also his quote was extremely competitive. I'd HIGHLY recommend

"He arrived as promised....he is a very nice man. He was curtious and left the job sight clean....the repair looked great for about a week then hair line cracks formed around the perimeter....I called he said he would come back....never did called several more times with no return of my calls......

Sample Plastering Contractors Reviews

"We are having our kitchen cabinets replaced. That will be another review. Some time ago we put up a suspended ceiling to cover the damage from a serious water leak and repair. Since the cabinets were down we decided it was a good time to up up a new plaster ceiling. I spoke with the kitchen contractor and for them to replace the 12 by 14 ceiling they wanted around $2000.00. This seemed too high so I did some searching around. I found Highlander here on Angies List and called

on a Thursday morning. He said he'd come by that afternoon after he finished the job on which he was working.
He call that afternoon to confirm he was coming and showed up right on time. Very nice guy. He looked things over, took some measurements and gave me a quote on the spot. $600.00 labor and material for the ceiling and a small back splash behind the new cabinets.
We agreed on the price. I gave him a down payment, check, he does not take credit card, and scheduled the work for Monday morning. He called Sunday night to confirm things. On Monday at 0800 he and

showed up. They covered everything with plastic, closed off the kitchen doors with plastic and got to work. They were done in about 4 hours.
I had expected they would tape and plaster the joints and was pleasantly surprised when they did a skim coat of plaster over the entire ceiling. It is a quality job.
I am very pleased with the entire experience
They did what they said they'd do. It is quality work at a fair price. They were neat and cleaned up when they were done. I have them scheduled to do work in a rental property I own.
I recommend them highly.

did an excellent job. He was extremely tidy. The final product was perfectly smooth plaster, which was perfectly integrated into our historic home.

was punctual, a great communicator, and easy to work with. We would hire him again in a second.
" We had a great experience working with
Plymouth Meeting Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
right from the moment we got in touch with him. He was communicative and responsive even when trying to figure out a time to come out and do the estimate of the work (note: at the time he provided the estimate, the wall insulation had not been installed yet, so he was giving us an estimate on the work based on what we believed the extent of the job to be). He promptly returned phone calls and if he said he'd call on a particular date to follow up, he always followed through. Our living room and dining room both have very uniquely textured walls, and

was only one of a couple of folks who would even consider trying to match the texture for the patches. He gave us a great price for the work and, knowing that we were needing to get the work done quickly, was able to fit us into his schedule. He came by on Tues., (16th), prepped the job by putting down paper to protect the floors and plastic to cover the windows, and then came back on the 17th to do the plastering.

did a great job with the plastering and with matching the patched parts of the wall to the existing texture of the wall, and for the walls that were smooth, those plastered patches looked great as well. They arrived early, finished the job on time, cleaned everything up, and even took care of a couple of cracks and patches on our walls that hadn't been part of the initial scope of work. And even though there were probably more holes made by the wall insulation company that we initially anticipated,

still stuck to the original price estimate. They did a great job and we will look forward to hiring him again for some additional work that we will need done in our basement and garage.
"I had several large cracks running through an original plaster ceiling in my apartment, in a building that dates back to the early 1900s: mostly stress fractures from age but also one 5-ft.-long crack that was beginning to leak from the building roof directly
above and was on the verge of falling down.
The two repair solutions proposed by the building owner were either to tear out the whole ceiling and replace it with sheetrock (creating both an extreme dust situation in a small living space and the release of potentially harmful substances, like asbestos and lead, in the original plaster and underlying paint coats) or to install a drop ceiling over the original damaged one, which was also something I did not want, again for safety reasons.
I contacted Kieran based on other member reviews. He came out for an initial consultation and proposed to “pin” the existing plaster into the joists above using special screws and washers roughly every 10 inches on both sides of the cracks, then apply a two-coat veneer plaster with a fiberglass fabric mesh embedded between the two layers across the whole ceiling (116 sq. ft.). He and his two-man team came out a few weeks later and made the repair. They arrived promptly at the scheduled time. They protected whatever pieces of furniture couldn’t be moved with plastic sheeting and dropcloths on the floor, and sealed off the doorway so no
dust would come into other rooms of the apartment. The whole job was done in roughly five hours. They cleaned up as best they could afterward, but since they themselves were covered in plaster dust, there was only so much they could do, and I still had some cleanup after they left with their tools and equipment. Kieran and his two workmen were friendly, courteous and professional. I felt immediately that I could trust them to do the job correctly and with very little hassle, which turned out to be the case. came out to review the job - a 1970's swirled, sparkly ceiling that was sagging quite a bit.

diagnosed it as a structural issue and recommended I have the ceiling removed. He recommended someone (
