Business Description: Airworx Airbrushing was founded in 1985 to fill a freelance art need, catering to the radio, music & recording industry. It quikly grew and eventually housed a retail on-demand studio & showroom off South Street. As time progressed the needs of those markets became saturated and it shrunk and re-organized to serve niche fine art, family-oriented functions (airbrushing at parties, etc.) and commercial graphics services (mostly expert presentation and design for the sign industry). Airworx Airbrushing now serves those areas where it can meet customers' needs the most effectively and still maintain a competitive and fair price structure, while delivering top-quality artisanship, service & craftsmanship. We realize time is almost the most critical challenge on both the customer's and our end - especially when it comes to creative endeavors... Our Goal: A quality service/product, at a fair price, on time. We are a small company, made up of 3 team members, capable of achieving a great amount of work. We will always be honest in assessing the challenge you present, and providing you with feedback. Art and creative work can be a tricky business... but after 25 years (each one of us has had at least 25+ years of experience) we have learned how to achieve the best practices and goals. Since we specialize in various areas that may have or are part of other trades we are usually not required to obtain trade licensing. However, there may be occasions where a license is required and we obtain such before commencing any work so as to be in compliance with any authorities having jurisdiction, and to set our customer at ease. We do charge for trip charges if there are any great or ongoing travel distances - once we have been hired. we do not charge for any initial contact/visits for estimating in the local area (Philly + 25 mile radius) and most of the time we don't charge for anything outside this territory. Because of the variety of services we offer, we can't list the pricing structure for each one. but the following should give a basic outline: portraits on canvas start at $75.00 f/Blk & White on 18" x 24" color starts at $100.00 for the same size (per one individual - add'l people in the portrait will incur add'l $45/B&W & $65/Color Signs, Murals, Scenics and large scale artwork start at $250.00 and ay be contracted at a flat rate (quoted in advance)(requiring either a purchase order or a contract and deposit To Be Determined) or may be billed at an hourly rate - pre-agreed upon. Design services start at $50.00 initial consult - in person - any preliminary design work (pre-contract) is billed at this minimum, and then credited to the cost of the job once, we are hired. Looking over a job or exploring needs via phoneor email a free until we start producing roughs/submittals for approval and finishing quotations. Face & Body painting (and tshirts/airbrushing live): for events for children usually run about $75.00/hour - (minimum $100 for the first hour) and does not incur a trip charge within a 50 mile radius of our location. All details of further pricing options can be discussed when the project is outlined and negotiated. Face & Body painting for adults starts at $125/hour minimum is $100. no trip charge within 50 miles of our location - temptoos are slightly higher because of the high cost of the ink. for pricing on anything else we look forward to contact by phone or email to discuss the customer's needs. We do not hire sub-contractors, however we do make recommendations where necessary. As project managers we hope to identify outside needs the customer's project may require, and inform them as well as what to expect/look for when pursuing the sources. We offer a 10% discount on all airbrushed portraits, tshirts, license plates and hats. We offer a 20% discount on design services We offer a 15% discount on motorcyles, helmets, autos/boats/jetskis etc... We are way hip to current trends in 'popular designs' especially when it comes to youth trends.. We are equally informed as to classic architecture, design & detailing as well as being pretty good at Art History. Kirk Dupuis, founder is a UNC-Greensboro Fine Art Scholarship Alum who also attended the Governor's School of North Carolina in 1979. We would be more than happy to provide references or testimonials upon request.. we are now teaching our skills to people of all ages - one-on-one and in groups, at our studio or your chosen place of convenience. We teach traditional art courses, personal/coaching style lessons, project-oriented, introductory to new tools and techniques specializing in airbrush and digital software. We also volunteer and give back our time and skills to ur community - from our neighborhood, to local cleanups at the park, time at food shelters and special causes. we always appreciate our customer...
