Roofing Reviews in Munhall

Wonderful responsiveness when contacted! It took awhile to get the job done. I'm sure that was because our job was a "small" job for them vs. doing a whole roof, however, when they were ready they fit us right in! It was done earlier than the estimated time. The craftsmanship was wonderful! I would definitely recommend this company and would use them again!

The roofer was about 1/2 hour late - my appointment was for 9:00 a.m. I called the office and the owner told me the roofer had to stop for supplies. When the truck arrived at 9:30, two young men were ready to get on the roof and work. One of them told me what services they would provide, and then they got started. My house is small, and therefore the roof is small, too. It only took them about 1/2 hour to perform all the work. When they were finished, they explained what they had done as well as the condition of all the elements of the roof. They did not try to sell me a new roof, even though I know that it will need to be replaced fairly soon. The roofers were polite, very neat, and extremely careful. They cleaned up the area and thanked me for my business. All in all a really good experience, and I feel comfortable knowing that the roof will most likely last until I am ready to replace it.
Thank you.

Roofing reviews in Munhall

I have dealt with many different contractors for my house, and
Munhall Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
Baptie is by far the worst person that I have ever had to deal with. When I met
Munhall Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
Baptie with
Munhall Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
, I asked him if he had scaffolding to do the job, as it is approximately 4 stories high. I made sure to address this with him, and I told him that the last person I tried to hire to do this job couldn't do it because he didn't have scaffolding. He assured me that he did have the scaffolding, and we signed a contract on 12/3/2010. He quoted me $3,700 for the job, and required that I pay half ($1,850) of it up front, which I did. As it was the winter of 2010, I asked him when he would be able to get the job done. He said that it wouldn't be too long, since he only needed "one good day of weather." The winter passed, and when spring of 2011 arrived, I gave him a call back. He told me that he was on a big job, and that he would get to my house soon. Several more months passed by, with frequent calls by me, all met with various excuses - another big job (which meant that he was repeatedly putting other jobs in front of mine), bad weather (even though we had numerous warm, rain-free weeks), etc. He kept assuring me that he was going to do the job, and since I had already paid for half of the job, I wanted him to do it. Eventually, this continued until August of 2011 arrived, 8 months after I had hired him to do the job. I was beyond fed up with him at this point, and I told him that I wanted my money back. He clearly did not want to give me my money back, but assured me that he would get to my house within the next week. I told him that I could not have this stretch through another winter, and he promised me that it would not. He did show up the next week, but did not have any scaffolding and instead tried to do this WITH LADDERS, even though we had already established that this job could not be safely done this way. He gives up on the ladders, and tells me that he can't do it on that day because he needs to rent a boom lift. I am very upset, but I agree as I really need this job done, and it appears that he is now serious about doing this job. Again, two more months pass by with repeated calls, but

does not show up, and neither did he ever make arrangements to rent the lift. Now it is November of 2011, and I again tell him that I want my money back, but he again promises that he will do the job very soon. This time, his excuse is that he doesn't want to use the boom lift, but needs to rent out scaffolding. He tells me that this will cost more money, but that he will "split the cost with me" (as if he is doing me a favor!). I reluctantly pay $300 more to have someone else erect the scaffolding (which he promised me that he had when we signed the contract). I am very upset, but now feel that there is no reason why he can't do this job. Four more months pass by, and now the person that I rented the scaffolding from comes to take it away, as

has not done any work during this time. I call up
Munhall Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
and tell him that I don't want any more excuses, and that I just want my money back. He actually gets mad at me, and starts yelling at me on the phone! I give him 10 days to pay me back, which would have been April 9th, 2012. It is now May 29th, almost 2 months later, and he has not paid me back, nor has he contacted me at all.
This man is extremely unprofessional, unethical, unreliable, and even worse - he is a thief, as he took my money and did not do any of the work, even though he had 1 year and 4 months to do it. You will find that at the Better Business Bureau his business is listed under multiple addresses, but that they all have the lowest possible rating of F. Do not rely on Angie's List alone, as unfortunately, these ratings can still be manipulated if you pay for a subscription. I write this in hopes of sparing someone else from becoming a victim of this man.

They are expensive, but they are good. For an old slate roof, walking on it the wrong way can crack, so I wanted to get someone who knew what they were doing. They've fixed it before, too. They also replaced a small shingle roof over a porch and replaced flashing.

We had water damage and he tore out some walls. He was also to do electrical, roofing, and painting, but he abandoned me. The work started in Feb and I am stuck with a unfinished home and I can not get a hold of

He came out and assessed the problem, and said that all I needed was some tar where the

met the roof. Then after he applied the tar, he said that I needed some shingles and told me that it would cost $250. His ad says $20 for any roof repair, and when I asked him about that, he laughed at me. The repairs didn't work the 1st time, so I called him to come out again, and he came out and didn't charge me and actually repaired the leak that time. I feel like I was taken advantage of with his pricing, and wouldn't use him again or recommend him to others.

was quick to repond and work was done promptly. Very pleasant. Had done work for me before I joined angie's list. Remains reasonably priced. Will hire again.

Asked for an estimate for a complete roof replacement. Said they would drive by to see the property. I asked them if they wanted to meet with me, and they said no, that they would make an estimate and then I could call if I had questions. They were prompt in sending an estimate, 2-3 days after I called. Now I will say that I have a large house, but their estimate was $236,000 - more than I paid for my house, and 3 times higher than the next highest estimate. I doubt that they even drove by - my guess is that they just used satellite imagery, as I know some other roofers do. No real description of my house was given in the estimate, as is typical, just a very broad description of what they would do. I have to assume that he really didn't want the job - the person that answered the phone did tell me that they were booked through the entire summer. If that is the case, though, then that means that a roofer who throws out a ridiculously high estimate in hopes of hooking a sucker is also going to delay work on other customers that he is already in contract with. Any way you look at it, I find this unethical and unprofessional. Regardless of ratings on here, knowing what I know now, I would never consider using this company.

Because I have a flat roof, he recommended someone with more expertise with that job, and gave me a few contacts that he thought did good work. He took the time to help me even though he was not going to benefit from it. He was very honest and professional, and I would use him if another problem arises.
